It wasn't. IIRC the WoT project was never even funded, they'd just agreed to work on it with the WoT license owners, correct? Correct. The license owner is a complete hack. Who does these things just to keep the licensing rights. He even funded a very small budget "pilot" for Wheel of Time series just so he could hold onto the rights for longer. So most likely the deal with Obsidian was part of his masterplan to keep the licensing rights. If he lost the rights, someone might actually do something with them and we can't have that. Last I heard he was about sue Robert Jordan's widow into court over her statement about the so called pilot.

I'm downloading the game as I type this! SimCity was a disaster, but so far everything I've seen and read about Skylines makes me feel quite happy.

And where exactly did they say that? They might do both new IP and PoE 2. Or if PoE 2 sells well they might have enough capital to fund one game on their own.

Getting bored with Shadow Warrior... While it was quite fun at the beginning now it's just getting stale and boring and I'm wishing it would just end. Also trying out Nosgoth. Seems quite fun so far.

I kinda thought it was pretty damn obvious I was commenting on the troll thing straight at you and then making a general statement about the fanboy -comments, since you had not said anything about fanboys on this thread at all. It isn't. Game is confirmed dead. Exactly. As long as the Mandragon fellow (or whatever he is called) holds the license you won't see a Wheel of Time movie, tv serie or a damn video game. The guy is a complete hack.

Not exactly what I would get (don't even own a damn tablet), but it's still work for some people. I'd rather have 5-10 guys working on stuff that I'm not into than have them laid off.

Publisher (Ubisoft) decides whether the game gets patched or not. Not the developer (Obsidian). Legally they can't even patch it without Ubisoft agreeing to it.

Argentina played like their team in -90. 8 men defend and they just give the ball to the undersized/midget footballer and hope for a ******** miracle or penalty shoot-out. Boring as hell and just that fact has me supporting West Germany in the final which kinda sickens me.
