It's another sad day for the capital of violent video games. First id starts making cell phone RPGs, now Ritual is acquired by a casual games company. Basically we're left with 3D Realms.

The Fall hasn't even been released yet.. Looks like it's been released in Germany, already.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting. There was a cancelled PS2 CoC game, and something called Destiny's End which was a third person game set in modern day, but that's not been heard from in years. I'm not even sure Headfirst even exists anymore. It's Destiny's End that I'm talking about. Sounds like a sequal from their website. No new news posts since October 27th of 2005. So, yeah... doesn't seem like they exist anymore.

I thought that at first, but then I thought I read that Headfirst was the one who published. But, now looking at the Gamespy info, apparently you're right. And apparently Headfirst is working on a sequal.

After playing some more Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, I have a measure of faith in Bethesda's ability to do the atmosphere right.

The idea is that Bethesda announces Fallout III and millions of the type of people who would sooner use torrent than pay for a $10 game, wondering about this series called Fallout, go and torrent the two preceding titles. And that's why all of a sudden there are a billion downloads of the Fallout games. Wasn't the annoucement originally in 2004? Besides, I don't think enough people would pay attention to warrant that.

I don't see how it says anything about the gaming public's relation to Bethesda. They had nothing to do with Fallout 1 and 2.

I want to go on record saying that despite what other sites report, I am not single handedly responsible for 2/3 of that 1.4 billion gigs.

After watching several episodes of Beast Wars on youtube, I realize the truth of meaningful evil. Never do anything Starscream or Terrasaur would do. Tarantulas is okay, though.
