And all anyone has to do to prevent being harmed in a car accident is to drive safely. No need for seatbelts. Or eyes. We could just not drive. I don't think we shoudl teach kids how to tieknots, because then they will be encouraged to mountaineer. Mountaineering causes totally unnecessary deaths every year. I don't see how seatbelts and vaccinations compare to forbidding activities and slippery slope arguments.

I support guns for the same reason they're protected by the Constitution. Not for the sake of personal protection from thieves, attackers, or foreign nations, but for the sake of protection from a corrupt government. It has been said to the point of being a cliche, but people should not be afraid of their government, the government should be afraid of their people. The right to own guns is an assurance that no matter what happens, no matter how corrupt or detached the government gets from the people it governs, as long as the people have the right to bear arms, they will have some say in that government, if only through revolt. Of course, the spirit of that interpretation has long been subverted.

It was March of 2004, I wonder if I can find a follow up.

Not with that attitude. But, you really can. A long string of events, playing off ridiculous overused scenarios that so many players demand. Convincing an evil character to turn good, only to realize after all is said and done, he's still slaughtering villagers. And oops, upon this revelation, every Paladin in your party is kicked out of the order.

Sexual abuse of children? Was she sending them to other children? If not, then that charge won't hold. The others should. Otherwise, sounds appropriate, assuming Pittsburgh has no other laws that are more specific to this situation.

If you'd ever fought a fit woman dressed like that, you'd realize the difficulty in hitting her.

Far Cry, Deus Ex, and Oblivion?! HOP ABOARD THE BUZZ TRAIN! Translation Far Cry: You get to shoot stuff. Oblivion: There's going to be skill ups. Deus Ex: We want to appeal to older gamers who might (or might not) be too thrilled with Oblivion and Far Cry. Does the article also mention their next gen graphics and revolutionary gaming experience?

One of these days they'll come up with an SLi that lets me connect my new nVidia with my fried aTi. Then I'll be set.

It is still piracy, because recording a TV show is allowed only for personal use. Have they secured international copyright? Do they visibly enforce their copyright?

Since I have actually had a gun pointed at my face by a criminal who is now doing hard time for that act I can tell you that the experience was very overrated and not all that fearsome. And I'm sure everyone in the world reacts just the same as you in that situation. If that's the case, why do criminals bother using guns period? All the need are their fists. I know plenty that get by with their knives. And by plenty, I mean there was one guy, but he settled for me offering him some chips. He thought I was ballsy.

I actively use SPOON! You can use that in WoW just as well as you can use it in Counter-Strike. Though, I prefer to use "I LOVE YOUR MOM" for Counter-Strike. But "make it so" from Picard himself? I'd go back to WoW for that.

My contention with this thinking is that roleplaying, is not simply taking a character idea and then reacting formulaicly. That's shallow, the best characters all have the opportunity to change based on their experiences. There's not a single reason in the world why a character has to remain good or evil throughout a game. One thing that I'm trying for my module is I'm taking away the flaws of language. Most developers give you choices of what specifically to say. It's very limited and prone to miscommunication. I'm going to give the player's the option of actions, not words. Instead of giving the option to say "what's in it for me" which the developer can either use as a prodding for reward OR ultimatum, I would give the player the option to "extort" or "inquire into reward." Definitely not as interesting an approach, but I see it as more appropriate.

M...Mo...Morrowind was.... broken? I not only disagree, but henceforth deny you the privilege of having an opinion. But, to the actual substance of what Crashgirl is saying, it's not a problem really that your net progress is 0, for many the problem is that the net progress is -. The game gets harder, nonsensically so, as your character levels. Both times playing through, my Assassin character would literally kill himself every time he meets Clanfears. It's an overcompensation that was uncalled for.

I think it's unfair to classify Fallout fans as bitter. Humans, in general, that I'd be okay with. Bitter is 'in.'

He looked up the shaft to see if the cart was coming down. It was.

I think rip-off is just a slight understatement. EDIT: @ Tale: Fire Emblem was nothing. Not an awesome game at all. It was utter crap. You want to send it to me for free... I don't have Fire Emblem. Talking about Fire Emblem is reminding me of Golden Sun for some reason.

Fire Emblem? Why does that name make me think of an RPG on the GBA a few years ago that I bought but never finished. Now, I have to figure out what that was.

I got Drow. I don't like the choices. When given an option of what I hate, there was no Halfling choice.

The Illusionist. Not as good as The Prestige but enjoyable. Edit: Watching Crank now. This movie is hilarious.

People, in general, are morons. I'm not a fan of "options" that allow the ignorant to put their own, or their children's, lives in needless danger. Seat belts are a primary example of this.

Watching An Inconvenient Truth and it honestly scares me.

I always hoped Troopers would have become a series.

Looks hot. Big fan of their Star Wars: Empire at War games, will be glad to see where they go with an all new IP.
