  2. Just great. I used to figure that Ichigo would eventually hook up with Rukia since they get so much screen time together. But after yesterday, I'm going to be sad if Inoue doesn't get Ichigo.
  3. Tons of great fiction is nothing more than relatively regular people. It's a great platform to explore issues of the human condition and philosophy. And if you're not interested in that, well... you can always have regular people involved in great events (to explore human condition and philosophy).
  4. I've seen someone post this on another forum a number of days ago. I'll repost my response here. Dig 20 feet down anywhere and you'll be surprised what you find. Heat it up and don't be surprised by what gases it gives off. Especially in an area that knows what the word "plumbing" means.
  5. facepalm.jpg NWN2 was not on consoles. Sure, but that's not the point. Next-gen is short-hand for the level of detail in the art assets. No, no it's not. Next-gen is short-hand for next generation, and refers to the generation of the platform. It has nothing to do with "dramatic change in the way video games "look"." It explicitly has to do with the generation of the platform it is released on. So, unless you're claiming that Neverwinter Nights 2 was released as a DX10, Vista, Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii game, which is wasn't, then you're still just throwing around a buzzword with no clue as to what it means.

  7. I'm still playing TF2. STABBY STABBY! I still can't seem to get more than 5 backstabs in a life, but I'm destroying more and more buildings. It helps to play on an FF server.
  8. I hope Architect is only pretending to be stupid.

  9. You are the shallowest dev I've ever seen type. Nah, I like MOD's, I play MOD's, I don't like making MOD's, because there is NO ACTUAL CODE! There's a difference between not liking to make MODs and not thinking highly of modding. One is an opinion of your interest in being involved, one is an opinion of the activity in general.

  11. He's not just a reviewer, he's also a dev.
  12. They supposedly want to make it change upon varying factors, including when you press it. For example, if you press the button to select a response early the character will interrupt and have different dialog than if you wait, where it will make it seem like he thought about something.
  13. EXTREEEEEEEEEME!
  14. Understand one thing, possibly very important, Sand has said he can't play twitch games because of physical difficulties. Sand doesn't say anything good about games he can't play particularly well. Most especially if other people like them.
  15. Played 4:30 hours last night. I am really enjoying it. I think they put a lot of work into it and ironed out all the problems TFC had. Of course, after my short time playing it it is early to be proclaiming anything long term. Personal opinions will vary. The overall community's following of it is not something I can predict, which is important to the long term life of a game.
  16. I am calling it a bad game for me, not a bad game for everyone. Not everyone has the same tastes in games. It's not a matter of taste. It's a matter of your opinion is based off a comedy routine.
  17. Right now I'm putting TF2 or the Phoenix Wright games up as GOTY contenders. Hopefully Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Portal deliver, so they can be contenders as well. And heck, Civ 4: Beyond the Sword. There's also the upcoming second GalCiv 2 expansion. This has been a good year. Jerry Holkins can't seem to stop raving about Call of Duty 4. If he says good things about a game, it's enough for me to give it a look even when I would otherwise refuse.
  18. You mean the one where he specifically stated he was being hard on the game because that's what people like to hear from him and that it's also "one of the best games of the year?" That review? Yeah, pretty much. It may be the best game of the year so far but that doesn't mean its a good game. It just means that this year has sucked for good games. So, your entire basis for calling it a bad game is a review that is (expressly) intentionally harsh in order to be entertaining?
  19. That's a good one, but I've already got my bases covered mate. I can just say they came from when I was trying to feed you. You're such a fussy eater, a difficult one to feed. You can't have baby food all your life, you know. But we don't live near each other. I live in Texas and you're the Girth from Perth. You live in Texas? Who all here lives in Texas? I smell party!
  20. You mean the one where he specifically stated he was being hard on the game because that's what people like to hear from him and that it's also "one of the best games of the year?" That review?
  21. I still say Valve's facial expression technology is better.
  22. I really liked Bioshock. It doesn't have co-op, so it won't overly appeal to you though.
  23. This statement has inspired me. I'm going to create game awards that're based off catchy insults to games. And yes, Sand, there will be one that carries your name. Of course, the entire thing won't be very big, but the point of it will be to make me laugh, nothing else.
  24. In the ever evolving war against my own daily cycles, an old ally has shown he has new strength. Caffiene! Where once he was overused and inept, only able to prevent sleep, never able to hold off drowse, he has shown himself to be more capable than he has been in an age in today's battles. I present this ribbon of duty to you, caffiene, for your outstanding achievement on the battlefield that's allowing me to function at work after an all night TF2 session.
  25. This is what a 10 million dollar advertising campaign helps purchase.
