Never could get into Eschalon. Do you ever end up with a party or is it always just one guy running around?

I HATE YOU GOG So I'm playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut again. Kind of getting behind because I'm scripting my Shadowrun Returns campaign. As for GOG, I'm already building up a lineup for once I'm done with it. Halloween sale reminded me that I need to play I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, which reminded me to look at Memoria. And I still have Metro: Last Light that I already started. So I have the next four games planned out...

I don't think they'll diagnose you by running blood tests, if that's what you're wondering. If it's a persistent issue, then that's the part that matters. And that's what they'll look for. I'm not going to give you the precise criteria from my DSM, but if it's something that is occurring to you regularly and for long stretches of time, that's something they should try to help you with. I think it's a smart idea to work out - sounds like it could be a natural drop in testosterone? That pretty much feels like loosing one's "edge". Ok, so this might be crazy, but I did have a vasectomy last year. Coincidence? Diagnosing over an internet forum is... ill-advised to put it gently. Somebody who can spend some real time with you trying to figure out how long problems have been going on, when they started, and has access to your medical history is really the place to start. It could be middle age hitting you. It could be the vasectomy. It could be winter. There's a lot of things to consider. The big thing is less finding out the individual event that caused it and more figuring out how to adjust for it. If these are becoming problematic for you, then I do recommend seeing a professional. Doesn't even need to be a psychiatrist. Your regular physician can be a good first step.

It was a game struggling for a reason to be beyond EA wanting to keep trying at microtransaction C&Cs. At one point it was Generals 2! From Bioware! With Bioware's strong narrative focus. That somehow translates into all of the world's diplomats die in a single explosion, leaving only the military Generals to rule the world. That's some serious drama right there. Some time later, either because they wisely realized how utterly dumb that story idea was, or because the Bioware branding became less appealing, they dropped all three. But the idea of a F2P RTS never skipped a beat. I don't like free-to-play to begin with. So you can guess that the idea never got anything beyond contempt from me.

Still going through Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut. I'm almost at the part where Missing Link and Tong's Rescue are integrated. Really want to see how that's done. The boss fights aren't as big a change as I'd hoped, but about what I expected. It's just larger arenas with hackables and turrets.

Grabbed a bottle of Brandy today. I figure it must be good, it's the only alcohol I know of that people name their child after. Well, also Budweiser. Maybe not as special a club as I initially thought. I like it.

How similar are we going to talk here? There's definitely a level of discrimination based on audience that's in various parts of the game enthusiast community. And I can certainly imagine someone saying something negative on me for really enjoying the Viva Pinata titles, I've never seen it put in effect in personal discussion. I'm inclined to think you're just observing the phenomenon that quality of discussion is adversely affected by the size of the group. But maybe that's just my wish to defend my gender. People in larger groups with more anonymity are more comfortable grouping into us vs them and describing the 'other' with some slanderous label. With the larger male population of video game discussion being a bit of a sample bias in itself. But I say this having not seen any particularly active discussion fora for plays. So I speak from ignorance.

I can't recall anyone have similar exchanges outside of Oby and the chan.

I just found a workaround for the abysmal Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut Perf. It's like a bad joke. Leave Chrome up when I launch the game. What the heck did they do to this engine?

Just bought a bottle of Jameson's, Johnny Walker Red Label, and Disaronno. Found out there's a ****tail of the former two and had that last night, not bad. I think I'm finally able to discriminate between Irish Whiskey and Tennessee Sour Mash. It's taken me long enough.

There's supposed to be some fixes on the Steam discussion forums. There's two registry edits to make, one of which is particular to Nvidia cards. Makes it sound like it's not the DRM. I kind of recall the old DX:HR having the same problem. But I definitely don't remember it being this bad. I have every setting on the absolute lowest and I still get dips to what must be 5 frames per second. I've not played a game this generation with performance this poor.

Voice recognition for games is okay at best. It's a neat little gimmick that I've never seen anyone care about for more than the 5 minutes it takes for yelling FOS-RO-DOH in the living room to get old. Moving your body is kind of neat if you're really into those party game sports/kinect packs, like the Wii also has. Just so you can laugh at each other flailing like idiots. For a significant contribution to core gaming? I could write out to you my opinion on that in considerable length, but it would use up the world's surplus of the word "no."

This may be a more accurate, albeit complex explanation. http://imgur.com/xXuNC

There's two philosophies in atheist community, Gnostic Atheism and Agnostic Atheism. Gnostic Atheists believe there is no god. Agnostic Atheists acknowledge they don't know, but see no need to jump to the affirmative. In essence, they simply do not have a belief in god.

For equity crowdfunding. Not all crowdfunding. It has nothing to do with the recent trend of video game Kickstarters.

Your thoughts on multi-classing
Tale replied to JFSOCC's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I enjoy limited multi-classing. Take two classes maximum. D&D 2E had a good idea in that. And I tend to like it when the game is built for core archetypes, with the multi-classing allowing expansion of those archetypes. I don't like near unlimited multi-classing. At that point you might as well be using a classless system and I kind of prefer for systems to do so. -
It's kind of worrying. I looked them up and the first thing that came to mind was "please don't let them be CIA trained." Apparently they're not, yay! But only because the state department said no.

A lot of fascists there on the Isle, eh? I had no idea.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut The DLC weapons seem well integrated so far. They're not just dumped into your inventory with a bunch of cash at the start of the game. Though they're easy enough to find in that first mission. I don't remember my system performing this miserably with the original though. I basically have it on the lowest possible settings and I may be barely hitting 30.

It sounds like Colonial Marines take 2. Revisiting Hadley's Hope and bringing back Hicks vs Ripley's daughter. And she's fighting clones? I'm not going to be optimistic about a game that's both afraid of detaching itself from the movies and making its own place in the setting while simultaneously failing to understand the setting.

Metro 2033 It's okay. It's not an exceptional title, but it's not bad. I wouldn't buy Last Light if I hadn't already gotten it in some bundle a ways back.

Finished Goodbye Deponia. Now I have to consider a full trilogy replay. I really did like it.

About 9 hours into Goodbye Deponia. A fine addition to the series. I think I'm at the final chapter or the second to last. And the finale of the last chapter was good enough that I thought it was the game's actual climax. Hope they keep it up.
