  1. Nice find. More so because the infinite money glitch was fixed with patch 1.1 *. (* before patch 1.1 you could continously steal back everything you sold to the fisher in Port Maje ... was a nice way the pile up some starting money)
  2. -50% is to much ... this would cancel out the benefits from having double summons and leaves you with only disadvantages, so that Troubadour is again the better summoner
  3. Its totally random what you get. I got the buff from the pool before making the potion ... but only on the third try after being polymorphed to some kind of werewolf and a pig. About the "Good Food, Better Friends": it could be that I missed the moment where I got it. I checked after drinking in Pickled Eel and there was an unknown buff, so I thought I got it from this encounter. But I had this buff without resting, so there should be an option to get it without resting.
  4. Nice find. I didn't know so far that this potion exists and that you can craft it yourself. I will update the list soon with the missing data. Thanks.
  5. For the quest "Dirty Laundry" you have to talk to the spy upstairs in the Luminous Bathhouse. By saying that you are ready the game fades out and you are naked down in the bath and have to talk to two new NPCs. This transistion removes all resting bonuses. Its part of the VTC faction quest line and I think you can do this after "Storms of Poko Kohara" ... destroying the adra pillar or not doesn't matter. I'm not sure if its needed to do Hasango main quest too. I stumbled upon it pretty late, as I did the quests late in the game when I was already Level 20. But it should be possible to do this quest and forge the swords early and then start stacking resting bonuses. other things to mention: 1) wounds I did my "no rest" run as a solo Warcaller, who only invested skills in Athletics/Mechanics (50:50) and History. Having Berath's Blessing, Hylea's Bounty and Irwenas Bonus (+5 to class skills, +3 to other skills), collecting all Training buffs, using items/pets with skill bonuses and skill boosting consumables help a lot with skill checks for preventing wounds. But on one island there was a forest map encouter with a cave behind it (which is needed to clear the island for naming it). There you need high Sneak or Survival skill (at least higher than I could reach with item bonuses), so I took the wound for failing it (-5 Fortitude defense, -3 corrosive AR). To prevent this you need to invest in Survival/Sneak skill. Or you plan to get it (its not a bad wound), because there are items that give bonuses when you have a wound (like interrupt immunity). 2) sigils Getting the Wardstones is crucial, because without resting you can not clear curses. You can find Wardstones for Atrophy/Darkness/Nightmares by searching ruins. Just save and load until you get them - i got all three while still being on Maje. The wardstone for Mortality can be gotten at Nemnoks lair and I think one other location. If you don't have a wardstone try using Dragon's Dowry - with this weapon you can kill most sigils while staying out of their range, as they are immune to piercing damage but not fire damage.
  6. Thanks, I never checked the supply button for Tikawara port. She is only available via supply button, not at the merchant npc.
  7. As the health system for PoE 2 was changed, I did a "no rest" solo run, where I tried to stack as many bonuses as possible. I thought it would be good to make some kind of guide on the various bonuses that can be aquired in the game and to share my experience with them. 1. Permanent bonuses: These bonuses are permanent and do not get removed when you rest or respec. Per-Rest bonuses: These bonuses get removed when you rest, but they do not get removed when you respec your character. 2.1 Resting/Food bonus: There are many rest and food bonuses, but only one can be active at a time. The best bonuses are: Hylea's Bounty: +10 All Defenses, +2 All Skills, +25% Max Health -> import PoE 1 save with Hylea Ending, gives food item that can be used 3 times Captain's Banquet: +20% Damage with Spells, +20% Action Speed, Immunity to Intellect/Perception/Resolve afflictions -> craft/find ingame or from Scavenger Hunt Codes Mohara Wraps: -20% Recovery Time, -30% Hostile effect duration, +4 MIG -> craft/find ingame Shark Soup: +2 MIG, +1 Power level, Immunity to Constitution/Dexterity/Might afflictions -> craft/find ingame 2.2 Brothel bonus: There are 2 brothels in the game - only one bonus can be active at a time. What removes/replaces Per-Rest bonuses? Resting!!! -> Obvious, right?! 3.1 Semi-forced rests: searching ruins/shipwrecks on the world map -> this removes all resting bonuses, this can be nullified if you save before searching a ruin/shipwreck, then reload your savegame and then search again -> Patch 2.0: searching ruins/shiprecks/burial sites no longer removes resting bonuses Bent Bough Forest (on island with Fampyr's Crypt) on the world map -> one option removes all resting bonuses, just use one of the other options Shrines on the world map -> praying at a shrine removes all resting bonuses, just don't do it -> Patch 2.0: only shrine on Neketaka and Crookspur remove resting bonuses, praying at shrine on Poko Kohara is fine 3.2 Forced rests: Repairing weapons from PoE 1 - repairing Whispers of Yenwood - repairing Blade of the Endless Paths - forging Whispers of the Endless Paths -> these actions remove all resting bonuses, there is no workaround for preventing this (except avoiding the option) Quest "Dirty Laundry" - infiltrating the bath house, while doing the Quest "Dirty Laundry" for the Vailian Trading Company -> this removes all resting bonuses, there is no workaround for preventing this (except avoiding the quest) Arrival on "Ukaizo" -> removes resting bonuses, but there are only 2 fights 4. Bugged bonuses: Zealous Focus: +5 Accuracy -> unsure how I got this, picked this up while questing in Neketaka (while soloing as Non-paladin class) -> Patch 2.0: I haven't picked this up this on my new playthrough, seems to be fixed broken item bonuses: - Duskfall: +1 Penetration when attacking the same target as an ally - Pets: various bonuses, many of these do not get removed -> these do not get removed on unequiping the item Path of the Dawned: +15 Accuracy, +15 All Defenses -> in some encounters (or on the world map) you get this bonus for your character (only if you play on PotD difficulty) -> Patch 2.0: I haven't picked this up this on my new playthrough, seems to be fixed Constant Recovery: health regen -> Patch 2.0: got this on a herald once, but after some time it disappeared ... so its not permanent
  8. Hmm, i managed it one time to get it. I believe you need 16+ CON to do it. If you play solo you can not choose a character for diving ... the dialog just closes. You need to recruit a companion/sidekick to get this option. The same problem exists with the well next to the ruins on Poko Kohara and some other interactions.
  9. you can get it as soon as you get to nekketakka. Its supposed to be gated by a boss but you can just sneak by him. I need to add one thing: You can not get this weapon on a "true" solo run, because due to a bug you can not pick up the second cornett for unlocking the area. See here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/100120-bug-the-cornetts-call-dive-to-the-light-how-get-cornett-of-the-depth/
  10. Here an update for my solo run as a Warcaller: As mentioned before I choose Devoted/Troubadour spezialized in Swords for a solo PotD run with full upscaling. As weapons I use Modwyr and Kapana Tanga, which are nice because these cover all physiscal damage types - so you don't have to deal with damage immunities. Instead of Charge I use mostly Penetrating Strike. Charge can be stronger for bigger groups, but it also needs more micromanagement. As I'm a lazy gamer, I just create AI settings for my character and watch the show Penetrating Strike is still a really good ability as it is a Full Attack with bonus damage/penetration for only 1 ressource cost - very much like Flames of Devotion, but powered with AoE from Mob Stance ... it ends bigger fights nearly as fast as Charge and separate single enemies faster than Charge. Compared to my first solo game as a tanky Summoner Herald, the class felt more squishy ... but only until I started using Unbending + Mercy and Kindness. Healing 100% of all damage is just insane. After this you can drop healing on equipment and abilities like Vigorous Defense. I replaced my healing pet with the pet, which gives bonus damage and interrrupt on hit. I'm undecided if i also want to replace Devil of Caroc Breastplate with Swift Hunter's Garb or Miscreant's Leathers for even more speed. As I'm playing full solo your recommended helmet Fair Favor is not an option (companion quest reward). At the moment I use the Blackened Plate Helm, but I don't know if this is the best option. So far this class is really strong. I will give another update after I finished all content.
  11. Thanks, I think I will go for Devoted with swords. By the way: Duskfall can be obtained in all endings for the family feud quest. If you side with Valera you get it as a quest reward and if you side with Bardatto you get it as a drop on killing the Valeras. If you side with Valera first and then kill them you even can get two copies of Duskfall. I prefer the deadlier approach because then you can finish the vault quest (which locks you out of the peaceful solution) - this also gives you easier access to the treasure chamber.
  12. You don't need that saber, there are a lot of good ones already. I know that there are other "good" sabers, but the "very good" swords and rapiers are far earlier accessible. So now I consider: 1) stick to sabers, 2) go for swords, 3) go for rapiers, 4) drop devoted for base class fighter and mix all weapons. Its a difficult decision (atleast for me ), because I don't know if I can get all desired weapons (for example: I didn't get the sword Kapana Taga in my last playthrough although I killed Fyrgist in this game).
  13. Is going for sabers really the best for Devoted/Troubadour? Scordeo's Edge is nice, but you get it at the end of the game. After receiving the weapon there were only 3 ship battles, the "end boss" + 2 smaller fights. So to benefit from the weapon longer you need to rush the main quest and ignore everything else.
  14. I didn't have much time to play in the last week, but I finished today all missing achievements. So here is my complete achievement file: global.zip It contains all achievements - altogether 79 points. But you need 82 points for all blessings, so its not possible to choose all blessings.
  15. I would not say it's tankier per se , more like has much more crazy sustain due to crazy healing/life leech from chants and regenerating resources which gives you unlimited Lay on Hands or FoD. Though everything is broken when build right. Thats the beauty of RPGs My PotD solo (not fully optimized) Beckoner/Shieldbearer tank summoner looks like this: She is rather tanky, but 212 deflection is still far away. It's a really nice achievement On the other hand more deflection on my character is absolutly unnecessary, as she never loses a noticeable amount of health.
  16. How long lasts the Level 9 Dragon? With my Troubador and 2x Int it lasts ~40 seconds. But the beckoner gets -33% duration, so 27 seconds. He needs one phrase less for summons, but needs 6 seconds for each phrase. So even with 6 phrases, he needs 36 seconds +4 - 6 seconds casting time to summon a new one. I haven't tested the dragon, but most summons have the same base duration. My Beckoner with 2x INT currently has around 33-35 seconds duration on the higher summons. So I'm not sure if the Beckoner duration penality is additive or multiplicative with the INT bonus and the power level bonuses. But for the dragon I need to substract the power level bonuses anyway. I think the Beckoner can only use the dragon fully if the enchantment on Sasha's Singing Scimitar is fixed - on empowering you should get your empower point and 3 phrases back. So with this item you can infinitly get +50% duration from empowering and some sort of cost discount of 3 phrases. But the weapon is currently bugged as the bonus works only once.
  17. As armor you could use Casità Samelia's Legacy for even more deflection if you invest in the intimidate skill. But regarding to the skill point distribution I think its more effective to use The Giftbearer's Cloth and put all points into history skill for a big boost to will/reflex/fortitude defenses.
  18. And the upgrade makes them also more expensive. After the upgrade the wurms need 1 more phrase. This is the only summon upgrade that makes the summon more expensive, for all other summon uprades (skeletons, shadow, ogres, drake, wisps, plant, weapons) the cost remains the same.
  19. Another specialist I found is Luca who can be a master rank boatswain ... you can recruit him in the VTC headquarter. But I haven't found: - Cathenna Stormheart - Pig-Sticker Rukowa - Ragged Cerrow These can be master rank deckhands as listed in the wiki: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Pillars_of_Eternity_II:_Deadfire_crew_members But I don't know where or how to get them.
  20. After Hasango you should get "Gift of the Machine" and "Effigy's Resentment" (blood pool bonus) ... this is what I got. I'm not sure if you can get all the other bonuses later.
  21. Are you sure? I tested this 2 weeks ago in the beta and there it did stack: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/97313-dual-weilding-pistols/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2007284If it does not stack its a new bug. Well, I made a chanter/ranger just to see how much I can reduce the reload speed and Gunner wasn't displayed in the weapon's tooltip... That's all I can say.You have to be in a fight to benfit from the chant. So out of combat the reduction is not visible. Of course I was in fight. I said Gunner was not visible, not the chant bonus... I checked this. Both bonuses - "Gunner" and "Sure-Handed Ila" - stack. Because there are too many bonuses (with long names), not all of them can be shown in the tootltip ... like in my test for the beta. But you can check the reload time for your weapon - there you see that the time goes down with every applied effect.
  22. @The Josip As promised I checked the summons health. You were right, the health for Beckoner summons is only a quarter of the health of normal summons. This was changed in the release version of the game ... in the beta it was half health. I have the combat focus ability to give me concentration. Also all my defenses are at 130+ (I can look up the real values tomorrow). And I'm immune to Paralyze (from being woodelf) and Stunned (from item) ... the only two afflictions that stop you from chanting. I also skilled both faster casting passives. You almost never get interrupted and when you get interrupted you are sturdy enough to keep you alive while you cast your next summon. oops ... I think I underestimated my defenses: So all defenses are at 150+ ... up to 208 for will defense. These are only the base defenses out of combat with equipment for my level 20 solo Shieldbearer/Beckoner (temporary buffs or resting bonuses not included). I think now I know why I don't get interrupted very often
