  1. I have tested this and didn't have a cruel reputation at the beginning, at least no points visible in the reputation menu and no defense drop for Faith and Conviction on my paladin who disfavors cruel behavior.
  2. I restarted the game after grinding the crafting achievements and some other easy ones. I had enough points for the +2 to all attributes (needs 15 points) und the bonus with +2 to class skills (needs 3 points). The last one is also more useful on multiclasses, because instead of doubling the skill points it gives +2, so as multiclass you get more skill points from this if you have 2 classes with different skills.
  3. I have a similar problem. I had Eder removed from my Party temporarly at the time when I recruited Xoti ... and now his quest does not trigger.
  4. Has anyone tested what you get in the beginning for the different endings/gods in PoE 1? I got these: - Hylea: food item, 3x useable, gives +10 all defenses, +2 all skills, +25% health - Berath: consumable, 3x useable, heals allies in AoE, damages and frightens enemies in AoE From these two Hyleas Boon I think is more useful, because if you don't rest often you can keep the bonus for longer. I haven't tested the others ... because prepaing a PoE 1 state and doing the intro sequence is really long. Can someone please add what you get for Rymrgard, Galawain, Wael and Skaen?
  5. me too ... download is complete, but installing lasts forever ... but under downloads in steam the progression bar moves, so it is not frozen
  6. As a multi class I will use the lower tier summons more - Skeletons, Wurms, Ogres, etc. Having 6 Skeletons (instead of 3) or 4 Ogres (instead of 2) feels just more powerful ... remember: the summons only have reduced health and duration on a Beckoner but hit as hard as their larger base form. I haven't decided yet, which Paladin sub class I will choose. The armor rating from Goldpact Knight is useful, but only benefits my character, who should already be very tanky. The healing from Kind Wayfarer for Flames of Devotion is nice, but for full benefit it would be better to dual wield instead of using a shield. Shieldbearer gives +1 engagement, but the upgrade for Lay on Hands seems to be too situational. Bleakwalker and Darcozzi don't synergize very well. At the moment I think I will go with Kind Wayfarer. Because Pallegina has low Might, I will put Exalted Endurance and Ancient Memory on the main character (with high Might). Pallegina (also as Herald) then provides Exalted Focus and the new chant that increases healing by 100%. Haven't decided on the other party members yet. I now have decided, that i will go with: Shieldbearer of St. Elcga Reasons for the decision: - I will play the character as some sort of tank, so +1 Engagement helps - the group healing from FoD on Kind Wayfarer is nice, but it synergizes with Weapon-Shield not as good as with Dual-wield and I will recast my summons anyway every few seconds - making someone immortal for a couple of seconds with Lay on Hands (Shieldbearer bonus) can help against spike damage and can keep near death companions alive - I will go with Chanter / Paladin / Merchant (background) - so my character starts with +3 Diplomacy and +2 Bluff which will be the main dialog skills for the character - Shieldbearers favor "Diplomatic" (Diplomacy) and do not disfavor "Deceptive" (Bluff) - so its the best match (Dispositions)
  7. After excessive testing in the beta I will start with Gender: Female Race: Woodelf Class: Shieldbearers of St. Elcga / Beckoner Attributes: 18 MIG, 8 CON, 15 DEX, 10 PER, 18 INT, 8 RES Culture: Old Vailia Background: Merchant Weapon proficiencies: Dagger + Medium Shield Voice: Kind Pose: Roguish Portrait:
  8. I don't know if it "should" stack or not ... all I can say is, that it does not stack in the Beta version. And if they have not changed this in the meantime this should also be true for the release version - it just needs confirmation. There are other things from the same "type" that don't stack, like Resistance against Afflictions (from Race + Item + Ability), Accuracy (Conqueror Stance vs. Zealous Focus) or Healing (multiple Ancient Memory chants). It could be that this is the intended behaviour.
  9. Pistols benefit from Two Weapon Style: I wanted test how low i can get this in the beta, but not all factors are shown in the tooltip - here a full list: -23% Dexterity -30% Dual-wield -20% Ability "Two Weapon Style" -20% Ability "Gunner" -20% Chant "Sure-Handed Ila" -20% Headgear "Acina's Eyepatch" -50% Pistol Modal "Rushed Reload"
  10. oh, you are right ... I have tested this (in the beta): Gilded Enmity, Hardy Inspiration and Zealous Endurance don't stack - only the highest armor rating bonus is active.
  11. In the Beta "Gilded Enmity" lasts 7 hits I think - this should also be true for release version. Your descripted problem has nothing to do with the Tenacious inspiration itself. On a monk Tenacious from Thunderous Blows works fine. The penality for Frenzy on a the Berserker subclass causes these problems. Frenzy on a Berserker inflicts every few seconds raw damage. These damage ticks counts toward your hit limit for "Gilded Enmity". I can confirm this "bug" for the last Beta. But I don't know if it is fixed in the release version.
  12. Just ignore that with 10sec duration ... if this hasn't changed from the beta, the duration is always 6 seconds + linger time (base = 3 seconds). As a normal chanter you need 30 INT to get +100% linger time, so that you can fit another song into the linger time to always keep up 2 songs. As a Troubadour you only need 20 INT, because he starts with +50% linger time bonus. Yeah, but this only heals one character.
  13. Is there any info on the stats of Pelleginas potential subclass "Freremas mes Canc Suolias"? I want to know if I should keep her subclass or change it to "Kind Wayfarer" in the PoE 1 game state.
  14. You need someone with high Perception to detect traps now - this was separated from the Mechanics skill. In the beta content the most used dialogue skill was "Insight", but I don't know if this is also true for the full game. In the beta there were map events with dialog choices for Perception and Survival, which seem to be added together for the skill check. Maybe this is also true for other checks.
  15. In the last beta they didn't stack, only one chant of each type can be active ... I have tested this here: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/94209-multiclassing-a-paladin-tank-and-party-composition-in-general/page-3?do=findComment&comment=2001916 But it should be possible to use: - Ancient Memory: https://i.imgur.com/3SkX6sF.png - Old Siec: https://i.imgur.com/bGUeSwy.png - Mercy and Kindness: https://i.imgur.com/DMXOy9w.png - Her Courage: https://i.imgur.com/NSLmwof.png on 4 chanters to get something similar ... or combine these with paladin or druids.
  16. I won't ask you why, but can I ask Obsidian why? Is this something that's bugged and will be fixed in release or just intentional? Tooltip for power level is "[...]All active spells and abilities are modified by Power Level[...]. So if summons are not affected, are they not spells or abilities? Or is the tooltip just plain lying? The strength of the summon scales with character level (health, defenses, accuracy, damage). Power Levels apply to the duration of the summon ... so if your Power Level is higher the duration for the summon is longer (in the Beta +5% per additional Power Level)..
  17. In the beta "Ancient Memory" and all other chants last 6 seconds + linger time without "Brisk Recitation" and only 3 seconds with "Brisk Recitation". I don't know why the tooltip shows 10 seconds ... its not true, so just ignore it.
  18. Because Pallegina has low Might, I will put Exalted Endurance and Ancient Memory on the main character (with high Might). Pallegina (also as Herald) then provides Exalted Focus and the new chant that increases healing by 100%. Haven't decided on the other party members yet.
  19. I now checked the full skilltrees for all classes and will stick with paladin for a multiclass Beckoner. In the last weeks I did a couple of runs in the beta (solo and with party) and one of the bad things that can happen to a summoner is getting interrupted, because the casting times for summons can be really long and you lose your used phrases if you get interrupted. If you get Stunned (Might Affliction) or Paralyzed (Dexterity affliction) it is even worse, because you stop chanting while you have these afflictions. So having Faith And Conviction + Deep Faith (+20 to all defenses in the beta ... don't know how this works in the full game) and Divine Purpose (+20 to all defenses vs. Resolve/Might/Dexterity afflictions) from paladin should help with that. Also Inspired Defenses (+2 AR after being hit), Stoic Steel (+1 AR per 6 seconds standing still) and Exalted Endurance (+1 AR + Healing aura) should help tanking. And with the aura, Flames of Devotion with Shared Flames upgrade, Sworn Enemy and all the paladin/chanter party buffs you can help your army to overwhelm the enemy.
  20. Can I get help with watercolor versions for this (a can only barely use Windows Paint ) I also made other portraits from random pictures I saved (sorry haven't documented where I found them). Maybe someone finds them useful:
  21. Thats difficult to judge ... here the data from the beta (tested with no subclass chanter): Skeleton: - base skill: PL1, 3 phrases = PL1, duration = PL1 - upgrade: PL3, 3 phrases = PL1, duration = PL1 Ghost - base skill: PL1, 3 phrases = PL1, duration = PL1 - upgrade: PL4, doesn't work in the beta Wurms - base skill: PL2, 3 phrases = PL2, duration = PL2 - upgrade: PL4, 4 phrases = PL4, duration = PL2 Wisp - base skill: PL3, 4 phrases = PL3, duration = PL3 - upgrade: PL5, 4 phrases = PL3, duration = PL3 The upgrade for Ghosts does not work so they are out, also Ogres and Drakes because there is no upgrade for them in the beta. Upgraded Skeletons and Wisps are still treated as if they are on the power level of the base skill, so they need the same amount of phrases and they get a duration bonus based on the power level. Upgraded Wurms are different. After upgrading you need 4 phrases instead of 3 phrases, so they are treated as if the power level of the upgrade matters. But for the duration bonus from power level they are treated as if the base skill power level matters.
  22. Wild Mages in BG2 were fun yeah I remember this ... my wild mage tried to cast spell on himself and then was killed by the impact of a cow falling from the sky onto his head
  23. An enemy you hit gets an -10 accuracy debuff for 10 seconds, but you do -25% damage with Hatchets. So in a 1-on-1 fight a hatchet gives basically +13 deflection after hitting the enemy (3 from weapon, 10 from accuracy debuff). Dual wielding hatchet and dagger with both modals gives you even more deflection.
  24. A Troubadour has the modal "Brisk Recitation". If "Brisk Recitation" is deactivated the Troubadour gets +50% linger duration, but chanting time is still 6 seconds ... this is useful for stacking chants, for example with 20 INT you get +100% linger time, so your chants now have 6 seconds linger (base linger duration = 3 seconds), which means you can have 2 overlapping chants on all the time. If "Brisk Recitation" is activated the Troubadour gets -50% chanting duration, but linger is reduced to zero ... this means you can get phrases with double speed, but only one chant can be active, because without linger they can not overlap. This is helpful for getting the needed phrases for you summons. In the early power levels the Troubadour and the Beckoner are on the same level (skeletons: 4x3 seconds for Troubadour = 2x6 seconds for Beckoner), on higher power levels your faster phrase accumulation gives you an advantage for summoning invocations (see dragon example above).
