I thought that parts of RE2 were quite well done actually, especially the ending. The William Burkin ripoff was a horrible idea, I think most of what worked well in the movies were things that they invented themselves. Almost everything they took or homaged from the games turned out to be a bit of a disaster and I expect that Wesker will be the worst thing in the entire series. Sienna Miller in this outfit more than made up for all of it though

I wanted to write a long post about the Millennium books but annoyingly I can't find the words. How do you even get writer's block when it comes to a forum posts? I basically cleared all of my free time and did nothing but read the last two books. It took me a week, but it was worth it. The overall ending is immensely satisfying. I was pretty shocked to learn that the author had something like ten books outlined for the series before he died, I mean usually hooks are deliberately written in case they're needed right? This guy had ten (Ten!) stories planned in advance. I just keep thinking it's such a loss.

I've been reading the Millenium trilogy by Steig Larsson. I spent the entire day yesterday working through book 2 and am both looking forward to and dreading trilogy's finale, I really don't think I could handle a cliffhanger ending . Steig was a brilliant writer, I'd have loved to read more of his books.

I enjoyed the first one but it seemed to end just as I'd unlocked everything and gotten used to the controls, hopefully the sequel will hit the ground running this time.

They're not that bad but I don't like the 'theme' or the genre of music they've chosen. Some really bad bands have made it onto MTV and into the charts before so I wouldn't be surprised if we see this on the television. The Cheeky Girls made it to number 2 in the UK top 10 right? And The Crazy Frog made to number 1 in a lot of European countries. I'd argue that both bands turned out songs worse than this.

Is anyone else uncomfortable pre-ordering a game with that kind of bonus? I mean, it seems kind of... I don't know. The guys down at GAME are going to know about the bonus and what it is, so you're pre-ordering it and they assume you're getting it so that your two little avatars will get it on. That just screams awkward to me.

No, no, no. In the grim future of the 41st millenium there is only war. In StarCraft there is war, beer and country & western music. Obviously the latter makes the StarCraft universe a much worse place to inhabit.

Edit: Actually nevermind. Looking forward to Diablo 3 also.
