  1. It does, I hope they do more DLC like that for the other companions.
  2. I'm not sure I remember that bit. White Dragons? I thought only black, red and bronze were in the toolset?
  3. Nice trailer. Looking forward to that one.
  4. http://dragonage.bioware.com/dao/witch_hunt/
  5. Proof that dragons don't like vuvuzelas either?
  6. It looks, at least to me, like her hair is wrapped and tied around horns. Perhaps it is a headdress or maybe she has the same hair defying physics as Cloud but I think they are horns personally. We'll find out soon enough, unless Bioware have said something about it on the forum already? edit; Should we start using spoiler tags?
  7. A monk/barbarian is basically Brock Sampson isn't it?
  8. Yep, horns.
  9. Try 'Sunshine' by Danny Boyle, it has some great music, characters and visuals.
  10. He's right actually, the last picture does look a lot like doom if you ignore the HUD
  11. Elven chainmail can do that? If so then yes, that would be perfect. Thanks for the tip.
  12. BG2 won't work on my computer so I'll have to go by memory and the manuals as best I can. I can't possibly remember specific items though so just give the guy something decent, doesn't matter if it's a basic +2 or +3 item. Serrano, half-elf, mage/cleric, lawful good, str 12 dex 10 int 18 wis 18 con 10. Weapon skills should go into staves and slings. Gear consists of a robe, chainmail, staff, sling with 9 slots of ammo (including the 3 in the quiver), a few scrolls for essential spells like barrier breakers, summons and a couple of healing potions. Boots of speed, or haste or whatever they were called would also be appreciated. I'd default him as a support character who heals, buffs, debuffs and summons fodder (and suggest both lvl 6 slots be reserved for planar ally and earth golem) but the main idea is that between the two books he should be flexible enough to fill any role required after a quick nap. I'm terrible with bios so my character is someone who simply hates to talk about himself. Is that detailed enough or do you need specific things like number of hit points, memorized spells ect?
  13. 90% of murders go unsolved? That's unbelievable.
  14. I stand corrected, you're right. I was looking for something dramatic and could only draw parallels with ME, it's late, cut me some slack I wasn't trying to put Bioware down I was just saying that I realise they aren't perfect. I agree completely though.
  15. But Gordon is a physicist and the average Half-Life 2 players isn't. If the world's salvation isn't impeded by obstacles that can only be bypassed through the most simple grasp of weight and gravity then some average Joe would have stopped the Combine years ago. It just doesn't make sense for the world not to be littered with simple physics puzzles.
  16. That's exaggerating quite a bit. NWN was geared towards two things, first of all they wanted to create a toolset that allowed players to easily make their own games and play them with friends and strangers alike. Secondly the campaign was designed with multiplayer in mind. The story suffered but it did allow more than one player to effect quests, henchmen and the story though dialog options and acknowledged that the different players were separate entities. Mass Effect focused on being a cinematic game, the models and environments were on par with cinematics, everyone was voiced, it felt great. The combat wasn't spectacular granted, but the dialog wheel allowed the players choose a response but still get to enjoy watching the conversation as Shepard's lines are just as much a surprise as the NPC being talked to. It also introduced large swathes of choices being carried over multiple games, that's still a new thing but it shows a lot of promise and I'm sure future games across various genres and developers will benefit greatly from that idea. Dragon Age was designed as a spiritual sequel to Baldur's so I don't think truth be told there are that many exceptional example of innovation there. It did similar things to Mass Effect in regards to cinematic style and C&C carry over, and both games were being developed simultaneously so perhaps they should both be credited with that. The spell combos were a lot of fun though. Edit: All of these ideas were risky btw. They were new and there was a chance that Bioware would get halfway through development and go, "Guys, this actually isn't working. It's more expensive, difficult or just not as fun as we thought it was going to be when we started". I'm not trying to say that everything Bioware creates is perfect or that all of their ideas are sound but they deserve some credit where it's due.
  17. Suggestive menu aside Incubation was a great game. Jagged Alliance 2 was much better though, Incubation had more of a boardgame feel to it.
  18. If there's a paladin he must enter the drinking contest at the tavern.
  19. Well with all the hostility and resentment between the Obsidian and Bioware boards it's inevitable that the two will go to war some day. Inflatable swords are the developers' way of legally arming us for the coming conflict.
  20. I tried Dwarf Fortress ( ), decided it wasn't for me. It obviously has great potential for storytelling though, assuming nightshape wants to take the time to learn how to play it. Here's a mod that replaces the ascii graphics /df.php
  21. I'm surprised you guys haven't tried playing X-COM as a mutliplayer game yet tbh. It gets talked about enough.
  22. Well I saw this but it isn't finished yet; http://ufotts.ninex.info/ http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/07/12...two-sides-beta/"]RPS article here://http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/201...PS article here
