  1. You asked what I wanted and I answered. Also if you aren't working on Fallout then why are you bringing up if you should be concerned or not. If you aren't on the project then the answer is obvious, but those who want to play a proper Fallout game it is an important issue for us and its also not just about the deathclaws. If you aren't concerned, that is your perogative but some of us are and Bethesda has done nothing to address these concerns.
  2. What I want is continuity from Fallout 1 to Fallout 2 to Fallout 3. Continuity in the setting. Continuity in the rules system. Continuity in game mechanics. When I load up Fallout 3 (if I get the game) I want it to be recognizably Fallout, from the broadest strokes to the tiniest details.
  3. I liked K2 more than K1. I like NWN2 OC over NWN1 OC. NWN2 is what NWN1 should have been.
  4. Let the children be invisible in those Euro-countries. I want to play my Champion Child-killer.
  5. The problem with that analogy, Crashgirl, is that the books and the movies are two different media formats and they are internally consistant within their formats. Now if all of a sudden Gandalf was played by Jennifer Lopez sporting a miniskirt in Return of the King then continuity is broken.
  6. Its called setting continuity.
  7. That really strikes confidence in me that Bethesda is making a proper Fallout. Really, it does. One thing I look for in a sequel is continuity. If a sequel has not real continuity then can it be really a sequel? That is one of the things I don't like about the FF series. No continuity from one game to the next. If you, and the developers don't give a rat's ass about continuity, even on the tiniest details, then why make a sequel in the first place? Oh, name recognition to make money and damn product integrity.
  8. True enough, kummie. In short range fire, which is often the case in criminal acts a 9mm will actually blow a hole right through you, and if basic lead rounds are used and nothing vital is struck a person has a better chance of surviving than if the gun was a smaller caliber, like a .22 for a .22 wouldn't have the force behind it to puncture through the flesh a second time and more than likely "richocet" inside the body thusly tearing up the inside. If the bugger was using a .22 instead of a 9mm I would have been more worried, Alan.
  9. What slowdowns have you had then? In fact where's your review? On the NWN2 forums. At least how it much it concerns NWN2. I had to rework the settings but I am currently at 1400x1050 resolution, medium settings on all counts except I have high textures, normal mapping on, water effects off, soft shadows off, and bloom effects on which gives me on average 20 to 30 FPS.
  10. Since I have actually had a gun pointed at my face by a criminal who is now doing hard time for that act I can tell you that the experience was very overrated and not all that fearsome.
  11. Alanschu: Simplistic, yes, but it is the truth of it. If a criminal wants a gun he or she will find a way to gain a gun, regardless of the prohibiting laws. Gun laws are often in place to stop passion of the moment crimes. Guard Dog: I am pretty sleepy right now so my mind is rather relaxed...
  12. I am seek to be more discerning and critical in my game purchases.
  13. I have had no significant slowdowns.
  14. My view is this: A gun is a tool. Nothing more. If a criminal is going to rob someone, do some violence, or whatever he or she will do the crime with whatever tools he or she has available. If it is a gun, then so be it. If it is a knife, then so be it. If you want to stop crime then you need to go to the root of the problem, the motivation of the criminal to do the crime.
  15. Its not a clean install. I installed Vista over XP because I didn't want to reformat my harddrive. One thing that kind of disturbs me is that Vista thinks NWN2 is a rated M game.
  16. God has nothing to do with it. It all boils down to luck. When something happens that is unexpected or has no logical explanation people like to blame or give God the credit and not just accept that things happen, there is no rhyme or reason behind it, and you just need to accept it and move on.
  17. I wonder if he will use the "Chewbacca" defense.
  18. I have to agree, J.E., but there are a few nutcase Republicans that won't listen to reasonable alternatives like what you proposed. One of them is Iowa's own Steve King, the epitome of Republican nutcase.
  19. I will say this much so far, it is definitely faster than XP getting around on the computer.
  20. Oh, according to these polls I am a Chaotic Neutral Black Punk Gnome.
  21. If it bleeds, we can kill it! Wouldn't it be more appropriate for a vampire to say... If it bleeds, we can suck it!
  22. I will be watching for the expansion and if they fixed the issues I have with Oblivion then I will get it.
  23. I imagine it won't be any bigger hassle when I transferred my Office programs to the eMachine. Had to call a service rep in India to get it activated. Not that big of a deal.
