They seem to be a reasonable numbers. I would think that in a capitalistic consumer based society that the US is this would be the optimal way for the government to get their money. I think it would be far more efficient than the IRS system as the taxpayers would have the illusion of making more money thusly spend more money, and the government would get their taxes directly, and we would able to eliminate the costly and inefficient institutions like the IRS. It would save time and money.

Significant? No. Hilarious? Yes. :D

Okie dokie. Sounds pretty reasonable. I just wish at time that I could take the best elements of both Republicans and Democrats here in the US and form a composite party. As you say a party that is fiscally responsible yet doesn't allow archaic ideologies get in the way of social progress.

Those who tend to follow the conservative path never seem to be all that progressive. Here in the US we have great tools of medical research and scientific advancement in genetics that can lead to cures of many horrible diseases. Who is in the way of this? Conservatives, mostly Republicans, who think that an unborn life is more important than the life of someone suffering, yet have no problems in condemning prisoners to execution and send soldiers to die for worthless causes.

Of course to pay for this service there would be a need of increased taxes or a major change in the tax law. Frankly I would like to deep six the IRS and have our government get its money via a federal sales tax. Increase all taxable items 5 cents on the dollar, more for expensive luxury items (maybe 15 cents on the dollar for anything above $150,000).

Purchased, distributed, owned by the government given freely or at cost to the public.

Um... Why would one vote for a side that is against his values? That just doesn't make sense. One of the reasons why I am voting Democrat from now on is because Democrats, flawed as they are, are closer to my own values than any Republican.

There are some things that need to be socialized in my opinion. Things like what the population needs as a whole on a constant basis. Utilities, medical care, and the like. Basic needs being fulfilled so of thing. Extra stuff like entertainment, toys, luxuries, and the like should be held privately in a competitive market for they aren't needed for basic human living. Also murder is defined as a killing of an individual unsanctioned by a government. If the government sanctioned the death of those individuals, right or wrong, it wouldn't be murder.

Well, I am not saying that it shouldn't have real time, CrashGirl. Just that it should also have turn base as well. Not that autopause crap but true turn base. Also to tell the truth, I had more fun figuring out the rules system and such over playing the actual game. I am a rules set fanatic.
