Using the East Coast is a good idea. Of course any improvements to SPECIAL needs to be actual improvements. Making SPECIAL real time is not an improvement. Lionheart and Tactics prove that.

Well, Bethesda has a certain style in which they make their CRPGs. I doubt they are going to change that style for the sake of one game.

When dealing in sequels and using material from the same setting the game needs to be wholly consistent. Think the Fallout universe as a DnD setting. If a developer makes a FR game in which Elminster was a talking frog, and Nasher a female drow I don't think that would get passed WotC all that well. Fallout 3 needs to be consistent in canon with FO2 and FO1 for it is a continuation of the series. Now if they place Fallout 3 in a less used area of the world in the Fallout universe then they have more freedom. Such as setting in Europe would allow more freedom to put in their own spin of things because not much was really done there except what was stated in the intros. If they set in in southern California then they will have more restrictions. Setting consistency is a must if you are going to make a game that has a long established history.

It is unfortunate that the animals they did find were killed.

The Fallout franchise ended with Fallout 2 and the cancellation of VB. If Bethesda does right by FO3, which I doubt, then all is good. If not, no sweat off my back.

That is my plan. I won't start FO3 topics but I will comment in them. If FO3 isn't to my specifications I will go play something else. I won't join any movement over a game. Its just not that important. Now that would be silly.

In sport games, I imagine, where action is most of the time key it is better to have a more streamline code than have junk code slowly the action down, don't you think?

For the engine? Sure. For the rules system and setting? No. Besides how can you have a clean slate, in terms of setting, rules, and engine, with a sequel?

Sometimes it is better just to use a clean slate and start from scratch.

Is it bad when you buy a second copy of the game just because you want the cool artbook in the LE edition that you just happen to find at the local Hastings or is that just a sign that one is too obsessed?
