Nice artwork. I really like Saddie. It looks like a clay golem that just became sentient just to realize that it was a waste of time.

I am pretty close to my family and guess what. My mother didn't even bother to get married till almost two decades after I was born. I have a couple of friends who live together and are very much like a married couple but aren't married and they plan on not getting married, but eventually have children. Marriage isn't all that important any more.
  3. If it didn't have the Fallout name and had its own original rules, setting, yet still be in the same Post Apocalyptic genre? Yes, I would give it a try but they are trying to pass it as a Fallout CRPG. There are many things I will compromise on. Updated engine and graphics to allow a more dynamic camera angle is one of them. I wouldn't mind one bit if the game is real time just as long as we also have turn base. Real time would be useful when taking out rats for the thousandth when you are 30th plus level and walking around in power armor and a plasma rifle, but turn base would be best used in tough battleswhen you need to think strategically.
  4. Yes, but he had to use the trick to do it and not a straight on fight.
  5. Shakespeare is dead.
  6. Yeah, but it wouldn't be Fallout.
  7. My main 3 problems with Oblivion are 1) Quest arrows that spoon feed you and telling you where to go specifically instead of letting the player figure it out for themselves, 2) how the gameis far more action gamey than what a CRPG should be, and 3) the interface is too consolish.

  10. Various interviews, style in which the present their current CRPGs, the fact they seek to make it a cross platform game, and the such.
  11. You may have no doubts, but I do. I haven't seen a single thing from Bethesda that shows that they are making a true Fallout sequel.

It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Um... That is why I deleted that post, Moth. I decided to look up the origins and I was wrong. It started as a civil arrangement during the time the concept of private property came to being. It wasn't til the 16th/17th century that it became the norm for religion to get involved. At least for Europe. Still I don't see the importance of marriage and why the government has to poke its nose in the private affairs of others. The only reason why it isn't a wholly religious affair nowadays is because the government is poking its nose in affairs that it has no place to poke its nose in.

Nice joke, but it wasn't some lame ass mail order crap.
  15. And that has what to do with the discussion, Laozi, or are you so lame that you have to resort to insults instead of actually contributing anything to the argument?
  16. I am very particular when it comes to Fallout. It is my favorite PC game of all time and I don't want it used in a game that is complete crap. And again I am not saying they shouldn't have real time in the game just that they should also have the turn base system as well.
  17. No. If Fallout 3 is Fallout in name only I will not be getting the game, unless I can get it for under $10. It will be bargin bin fodder, just like Bloodlines.

I almost got married and I am glad I dodged that bullet. I just think that government should just stay out of marriage altogether. Marriage is a religious social institution and should remain so. Church and state, gotta keep them separated.

My gods! I hope that is sarcasm because if it isn't we are all screwed.
  20. The combat aspects of the rules system of course. Take a good look at Lionheart. Hell, CTB in Fallout Tactic was pretty lame in of itself. Now I am not saying the game should be TB only just that we have a TB option so that those who want to play it in the tradition turn base can and those who want to play it real time can also.
  21. If it is solely real time I have no doubt that it will suck. I have yet seen SPECIAL done in real time in a satisfactory manner and I doubt that I will.
  22. What does 3.5e have to do with SPECIAL? Moving from 3e to 3.5e was not shattering at all. Moving from 2e to 3e... Now that taken some getting use to but that is off topic, Miss Moderator. I stand what I said about SPECIAL. SPECIAL does not work in real time. That has been proven in Lionheart, FOPOS, and Fallout Tactics. Without SPECIAL then its not Fallout.
  23. SPECIAL was more than that. It was the Rules System. It governed how skills worked, determined the combat mechanic, character progression, and so forth and so on. Everything the character did within the game referred back to the game mechanics of the SPECIAL Rules System.
