  1. If you are going to get a new OS you might as well get Vista if your machine can handle it. I got Vista Home premium for $239.99 before tax and so far it has worked out pretty well. Only hang up I had is that Microsoft packaged the wrong Product key with my software and I had to manually activate it.
  2. You should get a Sound Blaster Xi Fi Gamer. It is muy bien! :D
  3. Go-To DESTROY IT! DESTROY IT NOW!
  4. You standards are not higher. They are just different so get off your high horse and stop being so condescending. I have been gaming, in both the computer/console and PnP front, since the days of the Commodore Vic 20 and the Dungeons and Dragons white box. I have played many games and many campaigns. So freaking what. The NWN2 UI is just fine. It gets rid of inventory tetris, which I despise, and the blasted radial menus. Whoever though radial menus are a good thing needs to be shot. As for the minimap it is fine as it is for me because I don't use it. I disagree. The mode bar and the quick spell cast menu are two of the best things in the new UI. I love them. I also disagree with the whole skill tree bull. Just drag the skill or feat onto the bar and boom, one click use instead of a 2 to 3 click use. HotU was way too over powered. It was the best out of the NWN1 set up but pales against NWN2. There are just more options for the story to go with all the various party members. NWN2 is no BG2 or PST but it is far superior anything that Bioware did with NWN1. By the way, I hate epic levels. Worse thing ever to happen to DnD. NWN2 is the best CRPG since BG2, hands down, and they are supporting it big time. I think they are doing a great job with NWN2. If you don't then oh well, I hope you find a game you do like. See ya.
  5. New paladin build...
  6. Don't like coffee... So it's red bull/caffine pills or bust. Naturally I drink other things aswell as redbull. When I need a pick me up at work I drink a combination of dark roast coffee, caffiene charged mocha, and hot chocolate. If not in the mood for that I drink Moutain Dew MDX. :D
  7. Sometimes people do the strangest things. Never expect rational thought in matters of the heart.
  8. That would slightly freak me out.
  9. Yes, and for the most part no.
  10. If you can call it voice acting. <_< Some of the voice overs in that game made RE1 original voice acting look good.
  11. Burning Crusade? Is that like when a church official gets a nasty rash or something? Do they have an ointment for that?
  12. Not much of an incentive to win is there?
  13. My current CPU is a POS Sempron 64 3400. Hardworking, but still...
  14. You know, when ever I see GLAAD I think of that old plastic bag commerical... "Don't get mad! Get GLAAD!" Of course if the snickers commercial depicted two drunks the marketing people would go... "Don't get MADD! Get glad!" Of course if the commerical had these guys drinking beer as well eating the snickers bar as they did the marketeers would have mixed signals! "Don't get MADD! Get GLAAD! No, I mean happy!" I think I am going to end that here. REALLY!
  15. Should I get a new CPU or should I wiat till I get a whole new motherboard and system. I am considiering getting a new CPU, but I have a socket 754 slot and the best CPU I have found for it is a Athlon 64 3200+ Venice configuration. Its only $55 at Newegg. The question is it worth it or should I just wait till I have enough money put away from a Core 2 Duo system that I will be getting at the end of the year? Decisions! What do you guys think?
  16. That's not saying much.
  17. Yes, but can the new Linux run NWN2 without additional software?
  18. If you are an idealist I would not reccomend involving yourself in politics. The political process will sour you on your country, your countrymen, democracy and make you doubt the worth of all good things. It is like a huge private club where common sense is checked at the door. Nobody cares about actually solving problems, just about being on the right side of them. You will be shocked to hear the condescending and insulting way political insiders think of the average citizen, but after talking to voters you will start to feel the same way. Most of them (politicians) do not have a shred of self respect and most honestly believe we NEED them in office simply because they are so much better than we are. Winning in politics is the equivalent of selling your soul for beans. I wouldn't be shocked at all. That is why I figured it would be pointless to get involved in government. Hell, it might even be pointless to even vote. Yep, apathy is setting in and a slight destructive urge to blow something up. Hmmmm... I think I need to install Unreal Tournement again.
  19. It would be pointless to do so.
  20. *close enough for government work*
  21. Yes, but the law is the law.
  22. Why specifically to kill? Is killing more effective than incapacitation? Less litigation. If someone breaks into your home and you shoot but not kill they can sue you for damages and more than likely win. If they are dead, well, they can't sue you. At least that is how it works in Iowa.
  23. It depends on the range in which it punctures and the caliber of the bullet. A 9mm at close range, 5 to 15 feet, will punch through the other side of the body and keep going. A .22 at the same range will probably richocet in the body causing greater internal damage. A .50 cal bullet at close range would go through and keep going a long ways while tear up the body a great deal while a 9mm at long range would probably act like a .22 at short range.
  24. If someone breaks into my house and I have a gun, I shoot to kill.
  25. I usually give a company three tries before ditching them. KotOR 2 was questionable, but NWN2 was a solid game, in my ever so humble opinion, so the counter has reset.
