  1. Cancer is caused by abnormal mitosis. Viruses use the cell's structure to replicate it, damaging RNA and DNA of the cell structure. Stresses of this nature may cause the abonrmal cell growth that leads to cancer. If we can nip the virus in the bud before it infects the host cell then by all means we should do it.
  2. Oh, sorry. Its a good idea if it could work. Maybe we should use tazers instead.
  3. Well, a sound of a bullet will, for most people, give the initial fight or flight response. The problem is that you would need a individually chambered revolver in order to properly mix bullets and blanks. I don't think a single clip can hold both and it would take too long to change clips if the bugger was going to fight instead of run. I could be mistaken on this. I never dealt with blanks during my military service.
  4. One of my players in my gaming group will go spastic on that. It makes him go "Weeeeee!" Literally.
  5. You can come up with a better conspiracy theory than that! Probably, but I don't want to go all spastic over someone who has recently died. Its kind of disrespectful.
  6. Yeah, then Home is the way to go then, Mothman. Pro and Media has some nice features, but as you said, you got the Mac OS to handle that and probably way more stable. You could get Home XP OEM for about $90 at Newegg, but Surrie does make a good point about the OEM and Vista limitations. Retail Home XP costs about $190.
  7. More pics of my lovely paladin. I have tried playing evil in NWN2 but it just seems more satasfying killing evil with a shiny knight of do-gooderness. I still need to try out Jagged Alliance at some point.
  8. Come on now folks, its not nice to speak ill of the dead.
  9. Warning shots are a waste of time and there is too much of a chance of an innocent getting hurt. If you are going to shoot a gun, make sure your intended target is struck and only your intended target is struck.
  10. I apologize. If I was going to get XP I would get the Media Edition or XP Pro. They are just as stable as XP Home and added versitility. Then again if you are just getting something basic then XP Home is the route to go. Newegg has them all pretty cheap on the OEM front. Retail is still up there however. This is the one I suggest: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16832116171 You even get a coupon in case you do want to upgrade to Vista later on.
  11. Or it could have been foul play to get rid of her claim off her former husband's billions! CONSPIRACY! Still, a bit of a shock.
  12. You get to go through all sorts of different combat types except the use of ground base units? Wow.
  13. Might makes right, but what makes a left?
  14. Professional torturers? Do they wear latex?
  15. Neither do I, so in the case that you represent, since they were outside your home and not in, I would probably react the same way and not shoot. Now if they were already in the house, that would be a slightly different story.
  16. If you were responsible in putting me in that position to shoot a civilian and I did, would that make that civilian's death your fault as well as mine since it was you who placed me in that position in the first place?
  17. I still don't see why would any parent not want to have their children vaccinated against diseases or cancers. Sounds very much like poor parenting to put your child at risk like that, even if that risk is 10 to 20 years down the road.
  18. Can we get a duh check? The real question did he plan his own defeat at the end of Episode 6 as a means to to further cripple the galaxy against the Youzhon Vong invasion (msp).
  19. Why would he be cleaning the gutters inside your house? Why would he be cleaning your gutters in the first place?!?!? I would only shoot to kill if the person is inside the house. If he or she was outside then I would do what Plano suggested.
  20. So it is okay to be placed in a situation in where you will more than likely do an illegal act but not the illegal act itself?
  21. So it is okay to be ordered to be in a illegal situation and be a party to an illegal act?
  22. But his orders have to be legal in order for him to follow them otherwise he is criminally responsible for his actions for the excuse of "I was just following orders" does not make one immune to prosecution.
  23. His orders was to head to war in Iraq. He views the war being illegal, thusly his orders are illegal and a soldier can be criminally responsible for his or her actions if they follow illegal orders. That is his chain of thought, and the only way to break that chain of thought is to deem the war in Iraq has being fully legal by the highest court in the land. As long as there is a shadow of doubt that his orders are illegal he should not follow them.
  24. It is not his place to determine his orders are illegal or not? Then whose place is it to tell him that he is following illegal orders? If no one tells him that he is following illegal orders should he be held accountable for following those illegal orders?
