  1. I'll probably buy The Next Big Thing when I get home. I have a soft spot for Pendulo adventures.
  2. I thought The Other Guys was pretty dumb, but there were some moments I really loved. And every time someone mentions it I start singing "don't go chasing wateralls" in my head. Godamnit! Oh, thanks for reminding me I need to buy the Blu-Ray. Tis an audio/visual feast.
  3. I don't think people mean "round" when they say they want to get into shape, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Anyway, happy birthday Superman!
  4. 5:4 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vector_V..._Standards5.svg
  5. I vaguely recall enjoying Prey the one time I played through it, but this new Mass Effect + Mirror's Edge + STALKER + Deus Ex - Prey = Prey 2 deal sounds pretty damn interesting.
  6. Dragon Wars on the C64. Popped my CRPG cherry. Never did complete it, a book of graph paper would have helped.
  7. Shouldn't that be the magazine's call? Collaboration. It's not like Playboy is just including some random picture they found on the net, it's pics created specifically for Playboy. You guessed wrong.
  8. "Adult" does not mean "mature".
  9. I preordered, but I probably won't play until I get my shiny new PC in the next couple of months.
  10. 11. You should watch the prequel, Women in Trouble.
  12. I remember playing Batman: Arkham Asylum and for some reason assuming the improvements in that game, where textures faded in rather than popped in, would be standard for UE3 games from then on. Then Alpha Protocol came along and proved me wrong by being 10 times worse than ME. As for the graphics in AP, I thought they were merely adequate.
  13. Let me get this straight, your solution to not being able to play games (DRM) is to not be able to play games (Platform). Sounds like a solid plan. He said he does more gaming on a console, not that he's given up on PC completely. I'm in a similar situation, as now that I do the majority of my gaming on the 360 I've avoided many of the most complained about DRM (like being able to play Ubisoft games without needing an internet connection). As I game on the 360, PS3 and PC, I've got all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses. MWAHAHAHAHAHA.
  14. What about being probed by thousands of greasy bankers while enjoying a pound of Haagen Dazs?
  15. I just wanted to post that picture.
  16. She's 38. That's okay, she doesn't find you attractive either.
  17. A builder could also put together a canvas and an easel, but that doesn't mean they could paint a picture worth ****. Actually it is the point, mkreku called Nightshape out on claiming to offer an objective professional analysis. Except he's a programmer, not an art director. As a graphic designer if I claim to have greater insight into writing because I've worked with and talked to writers, I can expect people to call me out on offering my opinions on writing as objective professional analysis that I can't be bothered explaining but trust me I know more about these things than you. And when the professional analysis you've offered is "yellow is ****" then you really can't claim to be offering up anything better the standard internet forum dweller.
  18. Why? Being a builder, plumber, or electrician doesn't mean you a know more about interior decoration than a doctor, hair dresser or truck driver. There is little logic to it. As a graphic designer I've worked for magazines, but that doesn't mean I know more about writing then anyone else.
  19. Not an RPG, but apparently in Saint's Row 3 you start out at the top after having spent the previous game working your way there, but then they are also changing locations so you get to defeat a bunch of factions and gain control of the city, just like the previous game. Hopfully starting out at the top won't simply be the same as starting out at the bottom but with a few upgrades. Also, it bugged the hell out of me in HL2 that people acted like Freeman was such a huge deal, but treated him like an errand boy.
  20. So you think your opinion is worth more because of your job? How conceited can one get? Please, tell us, how long have you worked in this field to gain this awesome knowledge that none of us plebeians can touch? Ten years? 20? I think you're a ****ing programmer with less than 5 years in the industry. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not interested in taking art advice from you. I value the opinion of a mechanic on cars more than someone who drives them. That sounds pretty reasonable. Sure, but would you take interior decoration advice from a builder who tells you your home looks like ****? He can't tell you why but he is a professional who might have spoken to a number a interior decorators so just trust him okay.
  21. If that were true Yves wouldn't be complaining. You are wrong. R00fles!
  22. Which is real world big, but not comic book/internet porn big. New Triss looks great, old Triss looks horrible in comparison. Also, new Lara Croft:
  23. Yes, we should stop arguing by continuing with the insults.
