If I held off on playing games because of issues other people are having I'd never play anything.

Just started Chapter IV of The Witcher.

That depends.. if you count it as one of the few ways Darwin's theory of evolution still works for humanity.. We've taken so much environmental danger out of the pool..so personal stupidity should have consequences.. It's all fun and games when stupid people get themselves killed, not so much when they are also responsible for killing others.

Mostly low settings but with high res textures and aa. FPS in the low 20s, which is good enough for me while looking great. Now I need to get back to finishing the first one.

GOG version is now available.

I'm getting both, which certainly won't help me make it in time! as far as TW is concerned.

I'll be interested to see how this performs on my Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.61Ghz / XP / 9600GT / 2GB RAM given that this system has done surprisingly well for me so far. I'm not expecting much.

PS3 can play PS1 games, but only certain older PS3 models can play (some/all?) PS2 games. 360 can play some Xbox games. Wii can play Gamecube games, but you need to use an original GC controller. Edit: Too slow.

I bought a PS3 just for MGS4. Owning a blu-ray player and a handful of other games is just a bonus. I also bought a Gamecube just for the Resident Evil series, but that system cost me only a little more than the games.

Finishing up my playthrough of ME2, then I'll start on The Witcher. Next week I'll have The Witcher 2 and L.A. Noire. Preordered the PS3 version of L.A. Noire on account of the fact it's only on one disc.

I decided on Gothic 2. I enjoyed Risen and what I played of Gothic 3, plus DD was cheaper.

Set my location to the US, paid $42.81 Australian, downloading at the fastest speeds ever with the gog downloader. Don't know whether to choose Divine Divinity or Gothic II Gold.

I don't think the comic book crossover comparison really works, this is an add-on for a game you already own, not a separate game in a different series. "Look out for the exciting conclusion to Mass Effect: First Contact War in the upcoming Dead Space: The Delimbening!" The problem with this is that the DLC doesn't contain the "real ending" to ME2, in fact it's more like "telling a short story in the gameworld". Both LotSB and Arrival are side stories that aren't connected to the main story of ME2. Arrival is more of a prologue to ME3 than an epilogue to ME2. That's kinda how I see it. Considering Shepard is on trial for the events of the Arrival DLC, it's not like they are going to skip over important details and assume you already know what happened. I think Lair of the Shadow Broker is actually a bigger issue for the I-don't-buy-DLC crowd as far as canon is concerned. "Okay gang, let's go pick up who, by the way, is the . Anyway, Bio is apparently doing something similar to the PS3 ME2 motion comic for ME3 that tells you the story so far and lets you make decisions if you are not importing a save game.

I believe that if you've preordered at the current price then that is what you will pay, after today you'll pay more but get credit.
