  1. So only the face is CG? That's actually pretty boring.
  2. Men are more romantic than women. Oh, and damn you Walsingham, damn you to hell! I demand graphic detail!
  3. Here's a crapload of other trailers for your viewing pleasure: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/5229.html
  4. ^ Well aren't you a negative nancy. Actually, I though that particular trailer was kinda generic. Of course I'm already sold on the game, as it looks to be the game that will actually deliver the experience I was hoping for from Boiling Point and STALKER.
  5. Well on one hand I have CrashGirl saying IWD felt nothing like BG and on the other I have Tigranes saying it did feel the same. But who is correct? Is Tigranes seeing things that aren't there or is CrashGirl missing things that are? Personally, I expect F3 to feel like a Bethesda game.
  6. I dunno, I think wanting Fallout 3 to feel nothing like / not remind you of Oblivion is like wanting the same from the IWD series after playing the BG series.
  7. I refuse to vote in this ridiculously biased poll.
  8. The latest videos show a large miss of people, so you can now kill zombies of all nationalities. Everybody wins!
  9. I'm pretty sure the extra dimension is the major argument.
  10. ^ Eh? Witchblade isn't a Spawn spinoff. Anyway don't listen to that jerk nick, The Darkness is very nice.
  11. Not including games I recently bought and thus haven't had time to complete yet, or unfinished games I sold, gave away or threw away: Eternal Darkness: I couldn't beat a particular boss, but I'll finish it one day. One day... Gothic 3: I didn't complete the main storyline, but I did put many hours into the game so it was worth it.
  12. That was Benezia, Liara's mommy. And no, Linda Blair wasn't Kreia.
  13. I haven't played enough yet. The 2D art is lovely, the music is awesome, and it's been so very long since I enjoyed a side scrolling platformer. I just solved world 2 ( the first level). I was feeling like an idiot because I couldn't see any possible way to get those extra puzzle pieces so it was terribly satisfying when I finally did.
  14. ^ Actually it was Cold Winter, a PS2 FPS.
  15. The problem with prison is that you are being removed from one society and placed into another that's even worse. I suppose the solution is to change the way the prison system works. Changed how exactly and how feasible that might be I don't know. Especially when public support is behind the current system, ie it's okay to rape certain prisoners etc.
  16. You're right that none of the games instruct you how to make them. Might as well claim the game taught you how to shoot.
  17. Man, what a load of horse ****. A ridiculous conspiracy theory that doesn't even make any sense. Lies, plain and simple. Did crime not exist before the GTA series? This is a load of nonsense. How does belonging to a gang have any bearing on what computer or video games you might play, or even if you play them at all? Stupid stereotyping. That gang you mentioned before, it was made up of poor black kids, right? I have a hard time imagining middle class white kids forming gangs and committing crimes. It's not the goal of GTA either. Or Hitman. Or Assassin's Creed. All 4 of these games do however allow you to kill innocent civilians, if that's what floats your boat.
  18. The target audience for GTA includes a lot of stupid immature kids whose parents don't care what they do with their time. You don't see to understand what "target audience" is. Pedophiles may well watch Lolita, but they aren't the target audience.
  19. So someone who plays Call of Duty 4 is more likely to be effected* then someone who plays Doom 3? What about Hitman versus Assassin's Creed? And where do you draw the line between fantasy world and real world? Both Saint's Row and GTA IV are set in fictional cities in a modern day world, though the former game takes itself far less seriously and the city of the latter more closely resembles the city it is based on. Is killing an innocent bystander in GTA or Hitman really any different to doing the same thing in Deus Ex, simply because DX is set in a future sci-fi world? What exactly is the target audience for these two games, and why are they more or less likely to emulate the actions of characters in the game world? * By that I mean they are more likely to emulate what they see in the game.
  20. If I say the death penalty is vengeance then so is life in prison, if I say life in prison is punishment then so is the death penalty? Are you actually going somewhere with this, or is it just an attempt at playing devil's advocate? Anyway, my objection to the death penalty is due to corruption, error and the fact that legal system is a game where the better players can face lesser punishments regardless of guilt. You can free an innocent person from prison, but you can't bring them back from the dead. Is this a common problem? Do lifers in prison routinely kill guards and other inmates?
  21. I'm not sure the game portrays murder as "fun and socially acceptable." In Deus Ex you can murder everyone in the Ton and you just get lectured by your superior. At least in GTA you have cops after you.
  22. Soul Calibur IV. Finding the balance between power and lookin' stylish.
  23. Okay, what is putting a murderer in prison if not vengeance? The punishment for breaking the laws of society.
