Because that's the only thing that matters to a soldier? Can your wife carry a 6 feet tall injured man off the battlefield, is she still a better shot with a 8+ kg. machinegun from a standing position on full auto, can she run faster and longer than you with 40 kg of equipment strapped on to her body? Maybe she can do all those things but provided you're healthy and not too old you have the potential for overall physical development that she does not. You would need so much less time and effort to get there. That's why in a competitive environment where the best overall performers make the cut, warriors will be overwhelmingly male. At least until we haven't fully switched to nerds controlling drones with a joystick or powerarmor. My argument isn't about whether a female can make an effective soldier or not. Of course they can and have. My argument is there is no such thing as complete gender equality and fiction should (if it claims authenticity, nothing wrong with fantasy for fantasy sake) reflect those nuances not just assign roles evenly and blindly.

I didn't mean to say don't do female soldiers, just portray it with authenticity, don't pretend all things are equal. Partisans sniping at Germans are believable.

Gender equality can destroy authenticity when people want to pretend both are totally equal that it's all just "socially imposed roles". Like when your fictional army has men and women in equal measure doing the same thing. You want me to believe a woman can do what a man does? Make her a roided up bodybuilder or rare physical specimen like Brienne of Tarth and that the men-to-woman ratio is believable in this case. Then we can talk.

Don't expect the guns to change anything. 90% of the time it's hand-to-hand and you don't even get to keep the guns permanently. I love the combat in SD personally.

I don't know. I hate that so many other good games can't come close or fail financially when GTA V is treated like the second coming of Christ when to me it's just another game. A game I will want to play if it comes to PC, but just another game. I enjoyed Sleeping Dogs more than the last GTA and that was criminally 10x less successful.

A digital sale without the extra cost of production and physical distribution has got to be more profitable even with the lower overall price. I don't know how much Steam takes for themselves but I doubt more than retailers. The only real reason I can think of is fears over piracy, justifiable or not.

If the west wanted to go berserk over Russian human rights violations they needed to do it early over other things which affect more people and are more brutal than anything homosexuals are likely to face.
