Bonus weapons that you got with Dead Space 3 preorder actually make the game worse. Because they are unbalanced and you miss out on the challenge of acquiring better guns on your own if you use them. But parts of the combat system... I don't know. It doesn't sound good to me. Usually I don't care for things like extra outfits or even some extra small sidequest that I can watch on youtube. But the idea of not having all the moves in a combat system is getting under my skin. Yes maybe it's pointless extra fluff that wasn't part of it to begin with. However it's not like you can put it beyond them to remove parts of the combat system to get you to preorder for a complete experience at this point. It's too tempting a trick. And even if it's not like that, it doesn't inspire confidence.

The line has officially been crossed for me. I don't preorder, I buy cheaper CD keys online. So this means I'm not interested until I see the complete pack in the bargain bin.

A lot of security services are there because Dagestan (of which Makhachkala is the capital) is the biggest islamist hotspot nowadays. Also if we indulge such a conspiracy implication, FSB is a domestic agency that specializes on internal matters and all their official training schools such as ones that are publicly known are counter insurgency related. Agencies such as GRU or SVR would conduct foreign operations.

In Russia that type of denial is kind of racial stereotype for people from Caucasus. There is even stand up comedy about it.

SpetsNaz (СпецНаз = Специальное Назначение) is an acronym like SpecOps. It stands for "Special Purpose". It's a term applied to dozens of different units in different branches of the military and police. And they can be vastly different from each other.

Yeah and the world trade centre was blown up by CIA. True story.

Everything about this is so stereotypically Chechen "freedom fighting" all the way down to parents claiming their son was set up. At least you don't have our Russian brand of self loathing liberals defending this brainwashed idiot tooth and nail.

High end graphics are killing the games industry
Fighter replied to Bokishi's topic in Computer and Console
It matters because a profitable project is much less likely to get shelved. In fact it would be pretty stupid not try and build on that. Something like Arkham Asylum sold less (about 2 million) in the same time frame and not only was a success but spawned a much faster selling sequel. Something has to be off with that 7 million figure they expected in one month. No one with half a brain can realistically expect that. I don't think Final fantasy XIII sold nearly that in a month and I doubt it was less expensive to make. It is also so beyond their expectations for Sleeping Dogs and Hitman. Was Tomb Raider so much more expensive than those games to have to sell in a month more than those games in a year? It's hard to believe. IMO there is some politicking going on that may have little to do with reality. -
High end graphics are killing the games industry

People are jumping to conclusions on the Square Enix stuff imo. All of those games might be profitable, especially Tomb Raider. But the company is in trouble and they need big money makers, not just moderate money makers. They needed to show they had a plan to make up for all that and hence their expectations may look bloated. But no one really knows the reasoning behind their expectations numbers, yet so many people have assumed it means the games aren't even breaking even. -
That's what I mean. We are the sum of our experiences. Booker and Elizabeth that we know are gone. The versions that will now get to live a different life are not them. Well I suppose Booker is in part. But Elizabeth erased herself completely and is now Anna, who will grow to be a completely different person assuming the interpretation where Comstock will never exist again.

She killed herself too. Elizabeth we know will never have existed.

The style of her physical model looks identical. And neither is 'human', they are both cartoony looking. -

If you are trying to say they replaced the low neckline dress with the outfit on the right. That didn't happen. Different points in the game. -

I thinks she tweeted her distaste of Elizabeth's cleavage or something. -
Ah. I don't know enough about the Batman happenings for those kinds of details.

@Batman: Origins: Is that their way to have the Joker again?

A small minority can create enough noisy outrage and public shaming tactics to make something a taboo people are afraid to deal with. Call someone a misogynist enough times for putting cleavage into their game and eventually they will just not want to deal with the drama. To me that's a kind of censorship. -
Dunno about the old Lara Croft but pretty sure every girl in my gym would want to look like the new Lara Croft.

I want the new xbox to be announced with people's worst fears coming true. Just to see what kind of sparks fly.

Someone complaining on the internet doesn't make it representative nor guarantee that their taking offence is justified.

Anita Sarkeesian/Tropes and Women in Gaming
Fighter replied to alanschu's topic in Computer and Console
It's a male sexual fantasy in the spirit of BDSM. Gaming is a fantasy wish fulfilment, that's why it's meant to appeal to them. it's got games and sex appeal. -

Fighter replied to alanschu's topic in Computer and Console
Thing is me and him would probably agree on what makes a good female character. But I can't support a stance that's instead of saying "more of this please" says "stop doing that." -

So basically his aim is to censor those things? -
^ Why even get it?
