And the other difference is back then no one painted with the same brush anyone who disagrees with the idiots who send death threats. -

Where were all these knights in shining armour when Jack Thompson was being flamed by the same trolls? In the same cutscenes she says how shockingly easy it is. I thought vulnerable but not incapable. I didn't really have a problem outside of realism. But then who cares. -
I can run Tomb Raider 'hair mode' on Normal or even High settings but I don't. I prefer everything else on Ultra. It's impressive but it still doesn't behave like real hair, it feels too light and bugs out sometimes (supposedly they are improving with patches). Normal hair is fine to me. The island is divided into sections which are quiet big but together aren't as big as Far Cry 3 but maybe as big or a bit bigger than say Arkham City. But it is more varied and aesthetically for my taste Tomb Raider looks better. There are no side quests outside the main story. There are story related items to find though, like narrated documents (aka audiologs), relics which come with Lara's brief commentary. Collectibles, resources. Hunting only gives you xp and salvage, it's less complicated than FC (for better or worse). Skill unlocks and upgrades are fun and I feel serve more to underline Lara's progression than as a meaningful rpg system. If you don't have tunnel vision you'll unlock all or most, just like Far Cry. It's has IMO the best 3rd person combat mechanics I've ever seen with it's automatic cover system. Taking control away sounds bad on paper but in practice it's fluid and intuitive and ironically gives you far better control than 'sticky' cover mechanics. Surprisingly satisfying melee for its relative simplicity with dodges, finishers, and counters. It's also violent like Far Cry. Otherwise it's a 'cinematic' linear game in the vein of Uncharted and for that it's really well made. With moody atmospheric settings and beautiful visuals. And they really are. Its story is objectively flawed in places but I thought engaging and executed well, and the new Lara is likeable.

If only it was that simple. But it make a big visual difference in some environments and a subtle for the worse in others (ambient lighting, colors, skin texture). You can't really see the subtle stuff in screenshots very well but there is the big one: http://s7.postimage.org/4jr34f9nt/2013_03_07_00044.jpg http://s12.postimage.org/ktklrpuor/2013_03_07_00043.jpg

If anyone is playing Tomb Raider on PC you might want to know they messed something major up: http://steamcommunity.com/app/203160/discussions/0/846947231090179422/ I'm playing in windowed mode with that program to make it full screen and it looks a lot better, like really a lot.

Tomb Raider has issues with Nvidia cards at the moment. It doesn't bug out like that on my 6970. But I don't use it, I'd rather jack everything else up to Ultra. The game is a looker btw like screenshots can't convey.

No. I only mention because I know it makes some cynical gamers angry throthing at the mouth. They barely make a few minutes of total gameplay put together and a few of the scenes are pretty fun to watch.

Tomb Raider. It's good. Yes the main story is linear and it has qtes. But it's good.

Ты же понятия не имеешь о чем речь. Это у тебя 'гугл' в мозгах. К психиатру иди, потом будет поздно. Знаток русского нашелся здесь бля. You need medication. Weirdo.

Your fascination with finding weird crap about Russia perplexes me. Who is that artist and why does he matter? Most Russians don't really give a crap about what you think they give a crap about. I should make a thread on some Russian forum posting backwood hillbillies waving American flags. See how it goes.

As long as I can shoot with my mouse and on my PC I'll consider myself a PC gamer.

I do not like 'casual' games or FB games and you think that means it's a bad time for me to be a PC gamer. So tell me what is it am I missing out on?
-
Not enough console exclusives that I want to play is why I couldn't justify buying a console this generation. I would literally spend hundreds of dollars for like 2 games. Most things I want you can get on PC.

Finished Skyrim's main quest. Wow, it was shorter and worse written than some of the side quests.

Spec Ops The Walking Dead Sleeping Dogs Dishonored Far Cry 3

Everyone except people with nuclear powered ubermachines are having FPS issues, the devs themselves have said the engine isn't anywhere near optimised. I would be playing too now if the server wouldn't have it's daily crash currently. The game got released so very too early, it has so many issues you could write a novel out of them. Beta testers, including TotalBiscuit, asked them many times to postpone the release but nooo. The game is damn fun, but I sure won't give them a penny before the game resembles a product ready for release. Even people with nuclear powered ubermachines do not get that sweet 60 fps consistently.

Chivalry. Meaty old school violence.

Skyrim was 2011, no? Sleeping Dogs Spec Ops: The Line Dishonoured

Just battles I think. Haven't played it yet.

Got Chivalry: Medieval Warfare. Looks fun.

I've never bought a brand new game from Steam. Not the cheapest option most of the time. But the discounts are awesome.

You are not a real gamer. Filthy casual.
