I was thinking today, what would it take for I.E styled games to have decent a.i for once? I mean, we have great a.i in Age Of Empires 2, decent a.i in Starcraft... it's unscripted at least. I often wish I.E and I.E style crpg's were treated with thr same respect in a.i as other games, instead of trying to emulate a game of chess with walls to break.

I really like the song in this trailer lol Can't find the idolated ost treatment (yet). I know someone, some youtuber will probably isolate it and properly mix it with the careful treatment later.

Steam has a great Gamescon sale going on at the moment. Tons of great games for not so ton of money.

The Source Engine is underrated and produced some of the best animations in games til this day. I wish devs still used it.

Perhaps the most important thing to come out of Gamecon this year. The game Breach is being developed by ex-Bioware devs, I don't think I need to day that we'll be getting better stuff from them now then when Bioware first started or gave us in later years. At the very least it will be interesting.

I loved the series as a kid, will love it still today. The anime inclusion just adds depth to the roster. The real reason to game this year: Have you ever seen anything so epic? I will speak for all of you: "No. We haven't."

^Life Is Strange 2 will be the year's top selling game, hands down. Just another reason PC eletists will get salty... though it may come to steam later with the usual **** port.

Dota 2 championship happened today, apparently barely anyone watched it this year. I think they've all moved onto Evo, Combo Breaker and ESL. I can't blame people for focusing on the important stuff.

Fighting game competitions seems to be making all the money in Esports, I never knew EVO even fell into the catagory of Esports but I suppose it makes sense.

I felt the same, the evolution of storywriting in video games is clear. You can really tell (easily) when a developer learns from their past mistakes - or doesn't.

Got a chance to watch The Domestics. It's essentially a post-apocalyptic love story about a couple trying to get to Milwaukee, along the way they battle gangs in a struggle to survive. Really good take, a different spin on the usual Mad Max formula.
