I'm waiting for a positive review that doesn't seem like it's written by a 50 year old who isn't fanboying Cleve like a 16 year old or peeps who are dying for a Wizardry fix. None of the positive reviews seem very informative, even the positive review with 12.4 hours seem like more of an announcement of "it works" lol Which just proves what I said in my earlier comment.

Very much looking forward to this game.Hell yeah! E3 was awesome this year and it was shown at E3, I'll never forget Miyamoto with the creator of Rayman. What a combo! :D

My fear is that the positive reviews are totally over-biased just because the older generation gets a feeling of nostalgia, or just because they got lucky and it actually works so suddenly that warrants the positive review already? Either way, this is the same story of any "Support it! Bring back the 80's/90's games, we have to support it" You know... Old people will be sure to defend it even if it's crap I think this Steam discussion (although it got silly) says it all. http://steamcommunity.com/app/650670/discussions/0/1471967615846929849/ It's important to remember that this is indeed a very "niche" game. Not alot of people will buy it, there are only 84 reviews at the moment which is nothing. The game was at like 48% positive but now is at 70% positive. Just remember, the negative reviewers have no reason to be biased against the game, they bought the game and wanted to like it. Also, its inportant to note that the general playtime for both positive and negative reviews seems to be 0.1 to 5.0 hours.... but I guess positive reviews are more "valid" than negative reviews huh? Hmmm... I'm adopting the Obsidian forum logic I see hehe As of writing this, not one of the 84 reviews, nobody has even 8 hours of playtime.. When the game supposedly has 600 hours of gameplay. That should be a red flag to anyone with common sense so I do not blame you for being cautious lol

Following the developer on Steam and other sites, hardly would call that "not knowimg anything" but as always the forums work in opposites I guess. When it comes to a game like this I would by far rather rely on people playing the game on Steam forums and Cleve (the developer's insight) than people here - no offense to anyone here. There's just more knowledge there atm. Just because I haven't played it, doesn't mean I have no knowledge of it. Here is the most helpful and unbiased review from someone who actually knows what they're talking about: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970586906/recommended/650670/

On the bright side, the reviews are rising. The audience seems to be split thus far. Half are happy, half are disapointed and some are angry. I agree that Steam can be the most toxic but since now days the forums are made up equally of Steam, GoG and Origin users I'd say for this particular case the results have been more interesting for me as a reader which is another reason why I love to keep up with the progress of this game. One thing I can say positively about the game is that I've been enjoying the music thus far. It really gives off a 80's/90's mood but the rest of the game including the art style seems more like something new trying to emulate classic pc games like Wizardry series. The most interesting thing I find about Steam reviews so far is that there is a nice mix of frustrated emotions from every user that has reviewed it whether positive or negative. Something about the game not having a manual, crashes, an old developer who can't keep up with younger developers, yadda yadda yadda.

No, you misread my comment. I have interest in the game but not in purchasing it. I have been following the game for quite some time along with the developer and the community on Steam (which is the community that matters) however, I would never spend my money on it.

Any evidence of Romance? No romance (confirmed by Cleve)http://steamcommunity.com/app/650670/discussions/0/1471967615845041515/#c1471967615845147980

Well we know that there is 600+ hours worth of content from the dev's mouth Question is how long exactly til that content is really added in to make it the game that long or even worse - since the developer is one of the weirdest guys around, who knows if his definition of "content" differs from the actual definition. Personally, I do have alot of questions but yet no interest in buying the game but I'm not going to believe alot of the naive nonsense going around because I was already right about alot of this game. Alas, since the game is so bugged/glitched atm after nearly every turn, that's probably going take forever and yet again gives people some false hope of something that's not going to impress. Good luck and kudos to anyone brave enough to live theough the horror of actually playing this game. Much respect to the people who have waited 20 years for this disaster, they are not to blame. It's just a poorly built game, polish isn't the only thing but let's be honest...it needed it alot more than that.

Transistor is a phenomenal rpg. What I find about Supergiant's games is that they prove an 8 hour rpg can be just as good and have just as much depth as a 200 hour rpg. I'd highly recommend Bastion and Pyre as well if you haven't already It has officially dethroned Super Metroid and Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night in the public eye. You made it just in time for release of the new & free dlc which is why I assume they had another sale. Also, try Sundered when you're done with Hollow Knight. It's a harder and underrated (some people find it tii difficult) metroidvania but it's up there with Hollow Knight. If you are up to the challenge!

True, there is alotta RPGmaker trash and copycat games on Steam but most are $0.99, this selling for $35.99 ($39.99) is a disgrace though. Sorry if I'm being too hard, this game just gets under my skin, like everything about it. I've seen 1 man team indies on Steam for $9.99-$14.99 with less time and no contributers put out better games with better writing, a custom engine and more content than this game. So it makes me roll my eyes when I see this game.

Realistically and without bias, it's the $#ittiest game of the year. It's on sale for $35.99 and it's an embaressment to all the indie industry. Wtf is going on here? It's certainly not a scam but it's just as bad lmao it's so poorly made that it will make you wonder "Why?" The reviews are abyssmal... The game should have never released but at the same time I'm glad it did, not only to put people's minds to rest but also to finally expose how big of a fail the game reall is. It never even looked decent and finally people can and should move on to something better. This, unlike No Man's Sky, will be forgotten. Only a couple forums like this will continue to talk about this game so thats nothing. Bugs bugs bugs! Terrible game play, blah blah blah!!!! Go quality or go home! I wouldn't even get it if it was $5.00 but I guarantee it will be in a few months.

I really hope this means that their employees will split up to different independent studios and make new non-rpg ip's.

Does it suffer the same fate as the first? No, "combat" in TToN actually managed to be worse than in PS:T. Ouch.. if it's even more horrid than the first then I'm glad I skipped out.
-
Robotech? You mean... Macross X is getting a live-action film? Something tells me that would be even worse than Transformers, Pacific Rim, and Dragon Ball Z movies.
-
Which hunter? Some kind of alternate clone of Van Helsing I presume

Does it suffer the same fate as the first?

Parkitect and Planet Coaster, you can't go wrong with either but you'll need at least a somewhat beefy machine to run the latter.

I never believed the lie, never will but those Steam forums are full of intelligent and often hilarious content from random people.

https://gamerant.com/world-of-warcraft-gold-venezuelan-currency-value/ WoW in-game gold worth more than actual Venezuelan currency.

I'd say a crowbar personally.

Not only doed it look absolutely horrid but it's going to be priced at $40 with 10% off at launch so says the official page anyway. 2 hours ago it said "This game will unlock in 1 hour". Even though I'm not interested in buying this game I am interested in seeing the initial reaction for people who are interested in purchasing it, savvy? Another user made a good point recently saying: "I was going to buy it until I read that the dev said the game was in development for over 20 years, which is hard to believe..." How do you all feel about that?

Hob is on sale now for $17.99 from $19.99. I got my copy and you all would do well to follow my example. http://store.steampowered.com/app/404680/Hob/ What is Hob? Hob is a new fantasy rpg from the makers of Torchlight 1 and 2 (who are the original makers of Diablo 1 and 2 as well).
-
Agreed. Considering that that's not how real-life always goes. The thing I find with Obsidian games is that there is choice but not actual freedom. When you stack something like Tyranny up against something like Divinity: Original Sin, you start to realize just how limiting an Obsidian game can tend to be whilist a game like Original Sin handles those freedoms extremely well.

I pre-ordered Hob so I'll be playing that in September along with Cuphead. Woot!! http://store.steampowered.com/app/404680/Hob/
