  1. Daily quote from Cleve: "Trying to cross the street for a Coke is a nightmare in Crowl. You have to hide in people's abandoned homes and try to cross the street in one burst without being attacked by firebugs and gangster quartets. Clearly the Vanguard are not there to keep law and order. It's a free-for-all. This is why Trimestes is so glad to see you. He can't believe a customer actually made it across the street to his shop without getting killed." It's not the worst town but... yeah, it's got some fast n furious narrative to it XD
  2. You would love Divinity Original Sin and Zenith. They're writing is all humor reminiscent of 80's comic gaming with modern undertones.
  3. Daily quote from Cleve: "Grimoire doesn't take itself seriously like an autistic kid bearing down on a jar of pickles. If you don't like tongue-in-cheek, I don't think you would like it. It's not a game designed to be satirical, that is just the way I create, write and design computer games. I would warn you off any games I might make in the future as well, they could cause you to laugh. Grimoire is lighthearted because it is a fantasy roleplaying game. Even in the darkest dungeon you can expect something whimsical. Being a soldier gives you a certain sense of humor about the world and it never changes back. You don't appreciate whimsy and fun until you've spent a lot of time without it. I don't understand games with serious grimdark viking helmets trying to pretend they are tough. They just seem ridiculous. If you'd been where I have been in life you'd see that. Given that it is a whimsical game that does not take itself very seriously I would suggest there is more real wisdom, observation and general intellectual stimulation in Grimoire than almost any other game on the Steam store. What they put in as a political message or forced conflict, I stuck in from my real life experience with the world. I am not trying to spread a message or teach lessons or change minds with my computer game - aside from being a really evil way to live life I don't consider any of those things to be appropropriate in a fantasy roleplaying game. The only message you will get in Grimoire is that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the world at all. That's the big message of the entire game."
  4. I never even knew DS3 could be used on PC lolYup. Pretty easy to set up. It probably does not work out of the box for 100% of PC games, but it works flawlessly for all my PC gaming needs. It must be nice for 2D fighters, which I love. Thanks for the info!
  5. Daily quite from Cleve: "Because you have played it I am sure you would agree that with the exploits patched and some data refined it could become a very, very difficult game at the higher levels. Without the essential cheats and bard hacks some battles would not be one-sided and in this first release many might have complained it was just too hard. Getting it properly balanced so that novice is reasonable and SUPERHERO is nigh impossible is the goal of game balancing."
  6. I never even knew DS3 could be used on PC lol
  7. True. It's getting more optimized with every patch. I'm surprised that someone here has one (happily surprised!) The Steam controller is highly underrated. I think some people just pass it without a second look because it hs the Steam name but it is indeed an evolution in the controller field. For anyone considering it, I say go for it! It's all about willing to try to something new and with the Steam name but whether you use Steam, Origin or GoG, the Steam controller is a worthy addition to any gamer's household. It's ugly but oh so good and great value!
  8. You had me at "By the creators of Darksiders" lol Seriously though, this looks great, like FF7 but with actually cool characters.
  9. Daily quote from Cleve: "There will be a GOG version. It may not be for a while. At present the goal is to polish the game to shining perfection on Steam until it is flawless. Getting there but going to be a while and when it is finally ready for GOG it is likely it will remain here on Steam as long as they will permit it." ^I'm curious to how this will play out, considering that Cleve aims to enforce DRM and is a true believer in DRM's. Pretty important stuff.
  10. I'm not trying to be rude senpai but it's not Steam's fault that you are making the same mistake for years! I use big picture mode regularly... the only thing I hate while using it, is that Valve constantly changes the way you type syntax but that is to be expected anyway considering they have their own controller now. Awhile back someone on Steam was trying to tell me about a bunch of glitches that Big Picture had, none to which I've experienced at all. Is the Big Picture mode in beta? Idk, maybe it's because I'm also a console gamer but using big picture mode on Steam feels natural when using a controller. Although I have never really used a PS4 controller with big picture so the results may differ as the PS button may not start up the app like the XB360 controller does. All that said, I'm just a simple minded controller user when using Big Picture on Steam and when it's activated I think of my pc as a console which is the purpose anyways... I think. Off-note: I love the DS4 and it's touch pad functionality on PS4's OS. Every OS should just support it out of the box
  11. Useful information is only useless if you guys don't want to acknowledge it. I'm not playing the victim here lol But like I said, I'll be called anything for posting the information. Quote from Cleve: "I really am interested in applying all this general philosophy of what RPGs should be on a game with a Lovecraft theme and isometric view. I actually want to work on that game more than the sequel to Grimoire. I have had demos working and it is likely if things are good that I will start coding that up this year. I have literally been thinking about it for 20 years now and always I had to work on Grimoire instead. Thanks for your complements on the game." ^This is very literal in every sense. He is tired of Grimoire. It's a simple read really. Sorry I didn't post it before to avoid your troubles and any false hope.
  12. http://steamcommunity.com/app/650670/discussions/0/1471967615870818185/ ^Meteorbear and I were referring to this discussion. I'll probably be called a troll, spammer or whatever for linking to Steam but what's new lol I highly doubt that Cleve will do another Grimoire anytime soon, considering how bad it's doing. Plus, 20 years is a long time at least this is what he is softly saying in his postings.
  13. Cleve's announcement of his new lovecratian game was official word. I'd post the source here but since it's on the "hated" Steam forums and it's unappreciated but still good useful information then I will be called a troll even moreso. So hell, I'll just refer guests to the Steam forums of they want to know what Cleve is actually doing lol That way people don't get misguided here.
  14. Btw... This looks amazing and I'll buy it when it comes out. https://www.fig.co/campaigns/bounty-battle
  15. Unfortunately the update does say that those who backed will not be seeing refunds. Sorry to hear that, majestic. Eh, that's fine. I don't spend money on Kickstarter projects expecting refunds if the project goes kaputt and I'm really not going to miss the 50$ I spent on Resurgence. Very noble of you, this is a good attitude to have. I would feel the same if I were in your shoes. I mean, it's a chance and nothing is ever guarenteed in fund-raiser projects or even early access tiles which are already funded with a publisher. You win some and lose some. I hope the best for your future endeavors!
  16. I suck at rts as well... but I do guve them a try once in awhile. Sudden Strike 4 looks great, as well as Tooth & Tail. I think the worst one I've ever played was Starcraft while the best one was Age Of Empires 2 (I loved how that classic game went from caveman period to star wars space tech - blasters and lightsabers complete). I could never play multiplayer because people who play them usually are so experienced that a newb like me wouldn't stand a chance. There's all kinds of crazy shortcuts that they take advantage of. Sometimes it's more of cheese than chess but fun all the same!
  17. Terminator 6 has officially began production!
  18. I was thinking earlier, a lost city of atlantis setting would be nice.
  19. i want to use PSN more, sometimes I forget how I like certain parts of PSN more than Steam and GoG.
  20. I know right? I don't even have to try. All I have todo is share an opinion or some info that someone doesn't like and suddenly I'm a troll or deemed irrelevant. It's as bad as the Steam forums and YouTube comments section. It's also why I will exist here always and remain plenty active
  21. I love Bioshock's unique art style It's Dishonored 2...I meant Dishonored but somehow it came out as Bioshock lmao This is what happens when you have laxk of sleep I guess..
  22. eSports can be amazing if people actually attend the events. It's kinda like E3, if you're lucky enough to actually go, it's life changing (literally)... However, if people don't go then they don't care about ot and put it down but... their opinion is invalid because ummm... they didn't go lol I like eSports because it pushes ajd heps the game industry and the community unlike anything else. Evo Waifu is an awesome event and has some truly amazing games and players but if you're not into then it won't matter I guess. This should be obvious but it's not.
  23. Just In: Cleve says his next game will be an isometric lovecraftian action-rpg with 2D sprites. Now THAT would be amazing! Too bad it might be another 20+ years for that.
  24. People recently asked in the thread if it's goty worthy, nobody was kind enough to answer them, even the ones playing the game. I think it will go down in the world's guiness book of records for game in longest development cycle but I don't think it will win any award. In fact I am certain it will not. It's in the same league of Mighty No.9 and No Man's Sky. I salute anyone who is proud of that. All these games have their cult following though, it's just that Grimoire being of the most niche genre out there has the smallest. On the bright side, the review rating went up a whole 3% today. So fans will be grateful for that pie of cheese (I'm looking at you Alvaron!) Welp, that concludes tonight's update! And yes, I noticed that all people who unliked on this forum are basicaly put in the same "villains squad"... Don't like Obi & Terminator, suddenly they are bots or alternate accounts from the same person. Nothing new here. Sorry you guys don't like my posts and what I say, unfortunately it won't discourage me from updating on Grimoire's progress... simply because I am Cleve's biggest fan here.
