  1. Not herself, her birds ofcourse ;p Still better than -1 all attributes from Berath until my watcher collect 75 souls.
  2. Hylea has such sublime sense of humor. Better than Berath's curse. I wonder who else will punish my watcher for dispersing the souls at the end of PoE.
  3. Same happened to me. I already cleared the way into the crypt before I talked to Copperhead. I asked him to create a diversion, and now he just wishes me luck. Don't know wheter or not destroying the orb has any effect. I load save from the entrence of the crypt and clear entire floor again, but first I killed 2 bosses and only then used their blood to open the door. I leave the orb intact and then spoke to Copperhead, completing the quest.
  4. I played bleak walker/assassin and assassin's stealth dmg, acc, pen bonuses affect only first weapon even with full atttack abilities so I was running with estock most of the time at least for initial strike from stealth.
  5. I'm playing helwalker/assassin right now. Idea is to grab Eye of Wael asap and dual wield it with melee weapon for quicker recovery. Destructive Channeling boosts damage and pen while generating wounds. It doesn't end Dance of Death, so I stack Might from wounds as Helwalker and stack high Acc from DoD, combined with Swift Flurry triggering free attacks on crit. So Eye of Wael should proc 8 sec of invisibility on crits which can be used for assassin's stealth bonus to acc, dmg and pen and allow me survive between shoots all those higher damage recieved from helwalker/assassin tradeoff.
  6. I have cool idea in my mind but need at least two weeks to test it. Wonder if it won't be nerfed because it utilise some cool monk's abilities like swift flurry and dance of death. The idea is to pick helwalker/assassin, high dex, high perception, use Eye of Wael with Destructive Channeling for higher dmg, pen and wounds. It has 25% chance for invisibility for 8 sec after crits and put random illusion spell on target. Ofcourse dual wielding with melee weapon for better recovery and attacks only from the scepter. It probably won't be as powerful as all those blunderbusses and ice bow ranged monk's build because Eye of Wael shoot single projectile. Maybe it will stack enough acc to fire crit after crit. It should allow to abuse invisibility for assassin's stealth attacks with creazy acc, pen, dmg (even as full attack it affects only first weapon so dual wielding Eye of Wael with melee is the best option) and thanks yo invisibility between shots it should provide enough survival to all those incrased dmg against helwalker/assassin from their vulnerability. Some sustain health replenish from items/party would be helpful. I will test my idea and show some results in 2 weeks I guess.
  7. Does damage from Destructive Channeling end Dance of Death or just like in case of Retribution it doesn't count?
  8. During combat it is hard to spot which grimoire from quick item slot should I switch to without opening it to see list of spells. Icons look similar, titles are sometimes not intuitive. It would be very helpful if player could rename grimoires for quick recognition.
  9. No, wood elf evoker with power level gloves and empower but without resting bonus.
  10. I killed Guardian of Ukaizo with one spell which dealt 1975 damage. Some abilities are too powerful or enemies are too weak. Now playing on PotD with upscaled content without priest. I wonder if it will be difficult.
  11. Reactivity has many levels. Not only with choices. Do you remember two scared kids near the temple of Berath in Neketaka? They react differently if the watcher is death godlike, and it isn't even via conversation. They spotted watcher and flee from him screaming "monster"! It's like living, reactin bacground.
  12. I finished the game with evoker and I love Minoletta's Missile Salvo. Dealt final boss 1975 damage in single empowered spell. I really like Minoletta's Concussive Missiles as single target damage. Ninagauth's Shadow Flame is incredible as damage + CC (as it was in first PoE). Chain Lightning is good, if you don't want to hit your party. Ninagauth's Killing Bolt has nice damage + free summon. Delayed Fireball is great with empower to kill groups and fall back without the fight - and it's possible to repeat such strike without detection with another emp charge and infinite cast of delayed fireball, because fight won't start. Rolling Flame is nice in PoE 2 because it deal pretty high damage, can be cast from long distance (useful with exploding barrels) and pron the targets. Ray spells seam improved too since PoE 1. Wilting Wind is good with large AoE and raw damage. Kalakoth's Freezing Rake seems nerfed since PoE1, mostly because its AoE starts from the caster. Tayn's Chaotic Orb is good if you can hit no more than 2 targets. Playing as contro/support wizard I would pick Combusting Wounds, Chill Fog, Slicken, Arduous Delay of Motion, Expose Vulnerabilities, Confusion, Pull of Eora, Call to Slumber and more. There are plenty useful spells for CC wizard. I didn't test new spells from level IX from different schools than evocation.
  13. What was first - an egg or a chicken? If engwithans created gods and Berath is the keeper of the Wheel, god of reincarnation cycle, it seams that the Wheel coudn't exist before Berath was "born". Entire Deadfire plot is not necesseraily a retcon. Only a few people on Eora know anything about Engwithans. The Wheel and gods are common knowledge, but it is based on simple facts that the reincarnation exists and the gods exist. Kiths know nothing more about why and how it works. All knowledge outside the Leaden Key is only asumption. Common knowledge isn't true, it just what kiths believe based on only few evidences. Like in Mass Effect series. Common knowledge is that mass relays and the Citadel were build by protheans. It isn't true. What I mean, kiths don't know much about Engwithans or the Wheel or the true nature of the gods. The knowledge that the Wheel was natural or existed before the Engwithans is based on what? You had any evidence in PoE 1? Some kiths told you that and you believe them while they know nothing about nature of gods or history and work of Engwithans? I think this isn't retcon. It is just different perspective. Like world building in Mass Effect. Common knowledge can be wrong.
  14. Salvo is op for bosses. But tbh, this can easily be fixed if they just make Ukaizo and special bosses into phases. Ukaizo is supposed to be a phase type boss and every 33% health you take off him, he goes into invulnerable mode and loses his head, returning with 2 heads and then 3 heads at the final phase. For some reason, the first invul set just come so late which is, imo, a bug and is why Salvo can 100-0 him. I also won't mind if they just increase Salvo spread area while keeping the same projectile size and amount. It will be better as a quick AoE and no longer so busted for single-target burst damage. It will function like a fast meteor instead if the player is willing to sacrifice the damage for speed. It works just as Isaac's Greater Missile Storm in Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2. As AoE is decent but it has little impact if spread among many targets, while it's extremly powerfull if there is only one target in the area of effect.
  15. I just killed Guardian of Ukaizo with one spell: empowered Minoletta's Missile Salvo. 16 missiles dealing 80-150 damage in combat log, which hit Guardian of Ukaizo for 1975 damage total and insta kill him. It seems pretty OP. (evoker - veteran difficulty)
  16. Thanks to Washfire I solved my problem with framerate! It seams that I put my GPU into PCIe x1 slot year ago and I didn't notice any huge performance issue in other games so far, but now I switched GPU to x16 slot and Deadfire runs smooth :D Edit: And it solved the same issue in Tyranny. Awesome.
  17. Worthy Sacrifice granted by Marux Amanth should work as insta kill on any healthy friendly target or Bloodied / Near death enemy. It would be cool if Worthy Sacrifice would work on Charmed / Dominated enemies because they are considered as friendly targets (all friendly abilities works on them - inspirations, healing from any AoE, chants etc). I think it makes sense. But it doesn't work. Worthy Sacrifice deal normal damage like regular attack. Is it bug or is it intended? I was hoping for cool combo. There is lots of stuff which can cause charm like the fampyre's staff, wand which grants 10% to charm any enemy affected by casted spells, cipher's abilities and more.
  18. lol yeah it appears sneak and invis abilities allow many game breaking combos like this. Even with Priest and holy storm/cleansing flame + withdraw and/or shadowing beyond(Skaen) if you screw your stealth up for a guaranteed escape. Death's Door and/or Death's Door Cloak for even more shenanigans. I was thinking of a build to cheese Assassin sneak attack 1 enemy at a time and reset combat, but it actually works more conveniently with fire and forget AOE spell classes. Delayed Fireball allows to move back before it explodes so caster won't be detected by enemies. It's an exploit which allows to kill any group of enemies "outside" of combat. Mage can just nuke them and sneak out before explosion, repeat until targets took enough damage and die. What skill do you use to sneak out? I been trying this on my Wizard and they just detect me after the cast is done and run away from the empowered fireball. I just go into stealth mode. It only works with Delayed Fireball (ability from power level VII). If you cast it in the center of the group, it stays there for few seconds and after a while it explodes making noise. Mage can be far away from explosion befor it occurs. Just hit the pause button at the moment the fireball fly from your hand and give order to fallback. I guess delayed fireball is like 5-6 seconds waiting still betwean unawared enemies before it explodes.

  20. I have one very OP trick while playing Evoker. I can sneak to the group of enemies and cast Empowered Delayed Fireball, sneak out, wait until it explodes, Then once again sneak close to the group, cast Empowered Delayed Fireball, sneak out. It should deal about 300-500 damage already in two strikes and it won't trigger combat so I can repeat it until my Empower's Charge pool ends and again, making such strikes without Empower because 2 Delayed Fireball casts will replenish itself because the fight will never start.
