1. I don't think there's such a thing as unlimited invisibility. Even if this were possible. Striking breaks this and there's no point in just sitting somewhere being invisible. 2. Brilliant adds 1 PL so if duration of the skill is linked to PL it would automatically increase if you have this inspiration. SoT is a cleric spell that adds 10 seconds to all beneficial effects (buffs) to all friendlies in the AoE. 3. You can't. There's a rogue skill that allows you to strike from stealth without breaking it. This is acquired at PL IX and is called Vanishing Strike. You can also take PL VIII version of Shadowing beyond and turn it into Enduring Shadows which makes the invisibility last 20 seconds. This does require pure rogue. I think this is preferable over going multi with priest. I don't see the two synergize. I think multi assassin is ok, but it's possibly best to go pure as you get access to Enduring Shadows and Vanising Strike. Makes for a whole different playstyle when you get to PL IX.

Most of us have played this game many times and have tried many different compositions of party members unless of course you play solo. Now the thing that bothered me wasn't that I didn't like some of them or that some of them just aren't as good in terms of stats (well all of them). What bothered me is that a lot of them don't really mix together which makes creating unique playthroughs almost impossible. Now there are of course side kicks that you can bring along, but they're not part of the main story and they don't banter so they're just tag alongs. Let's analyse the main companions and why Obsidian made a mistake: Non faction companions: Edér Aloth Xoti Faction companions Maia Pallegina Serafen Tekēhu Party size is 5 so excluding the PC you have 4 slots. There's only 3 party members that are not linked to a faction. So from role playing perspective you will always play with the first 3 and then one of the ones from the faction list. Of course this isn't necessary because some of the faction companions can in fact be used to be part of the other faction, but let's analyse this: Tekēhu: going with the Valian route requires you to kill leaders of the Wakahi tribe. Killing them basically makes it impossible to have Tekēhu in the party. I'm not sure what happens if you leave him in the tavern, but seriously strange if you still have him tag along when you're killing part of his tribe. From an RP perspective with more freedom than strict faction loyalty you can't really join the Valians. You also cannot join the Rautaians as this involves killing the queen or the prince. Tekēhu will leave if you go this route. The only faction that allows Tekēhu to stay other than the Huana are the Príncipi. Maia: You cannot select the Valians or the Huana as this will force her to leave. She will stay if you select the Príncipi. Serafen: doesn't really matter to him. You can have him on board for any of the other factions as none of them will do anything harmful to the Príncipi. Pallegina: You cannot join the RDC as this will force her to leave. I think with her you can definitely pick the Príncipi or the Huana aside from the Valians of course. But this isn't it. There's more to it than factions because some characters are also not really attuned to eachother. Depending on your POE1 choices Edér and Aloth will not get along. In terms of reputation they are also not aligned. Having them in the same group is possible of course, but can be a bit strange. Edér is fine with most people aside from Aloth although he does get awkward with Xoti depending on your choices in POE1. Gets along well with Xoti, Serafen and Maia in terms of reputation. Aloth does not get along with Serafen, Pallegina and Tekēhu. He gets along really well with Maia. Xoti doesn't really care who she's with although she doesn't like Aloth. She gets along with Tekēhu and Edér. Serafen is fine with most people except with Pallegina and Aloth. Tekēhu doesn't like Aloth and will have issues with Maia as well. Pallegina basically hates everyone including herself. I don't think she gets along with anyone. With all said and done technically you could combine some of the people above even though your choices won't match them or the personalities in the group don't mix, but you'll always feel like they don't belong together. For me this limits the flexibility and amount of actual choices you have when you want to focus on companions and not side kicks. I think this is a massive mistake and it makes setting up a party that role plays well extremely difficult as there is no way to change their minds or "harden" them as some other games do.

Script issue
AeonsLegend replied to Nito805's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Try an older save perhaps. I've never seen this. Did you kill Storm Speaker Ikawha? -
Sounds like a GPU issue indeed. Although could also be in combination with the display. Are both displays the same? You could try to switch them and try the other one. Sometimes a single display messes things up if it's not 100% compatible. Do you have any other GPU settings in the NVidia control panel? Try to set them to the defaults for this game. Reset it. Another thing you can try is loading an older NVidia driver to see if that makes a difference. Or do a fresh driver install. So just uninstall the driver, don't let Windows install the one on it's own and then install the newest from NVidia. This should also reset any specific GPU settings.

When she asks you to check on the Valera plot you talk to Zilli Valera during "A Sinking Feeling" quest. He points you to the Hole in the Gullet. When you get there you meet Persa and Baer. Here you can uncover the plot and then return to Ezalli. She will then tell you that she wants the plot to play out and ambush the Valeras. She tells you to talk to Captain Vilami and starts the quest "Family Pride". This will cancel the quest "Bigger Fish". During Family Pride you can go to the vault when you talk to Vilami he will take you there. After the ambush you are free to loot the place if you use stealth.

Hm, still wonder why there are people with Win Pro at home... as there is no benefit from the extra money spent on it. Anyways you could look into gpu and driver compatibility as well. What version of windows are you running?

Windows 10 Pro. This might be your issue. I think I've seen people with issues on Windows 10 Pro before. Not sure. Have you tried it on Home edition?

Hm ok and how do you do those? Is there an option when starting a new game to set those challenges? I got so bored of the beginning of the game that I now reuse my old save games when starting a new character. Starts after arriving at Neketaka and then I just reset my character with unityconsole. So I hardly ever create a char from scratch.

You can build him as a wizard and wreck face with his spells and Caedebald's Blackbow ranged attacks. Most people will tell you to go full wizard and I have to admit it's not wrong. Although I recently went Wizard/Fighter with him and put him as a front line tank and he absolutely destroyed everything. Fighter and Wizard give so much defensive options that he can tank for days. give him some good weapons and he's decent offensively as well. Even if he doesn't get any damage buffs from classes. Other than Citzal's Martial Power. He can reliably crit this way and also has access to Mob Stance and Ryngrim's Repulsive Visage. It's pretty funny to see him be so effective at melee. he will draw all aggro and disrupt everyone. Makes fights very easy.
-
Another option would be willbreaker which synergizes with Ryngrim's Repulsive Visage to add a 8 bleed per 3 secs for 12 secs (Total 32 damage) to crits. Also has 13 penetration fully upgraded and 2 damage types of which 1 is crush which is the superior damage type out of all three physical ones. Doesn't have AoE or Crit bonus, but does have a 10% hit to crit conversion. also decreases enemy will on hit to make sure Ryngrim's Repulsive Visage can hit more often on tougher oponents. The Oppressive Fear ability is wasted, but whatever. Really thinking of going with this weapon as it also has a nice flair to it. So now the choice would be do I go with Unbroken or Devoted if I go with a 2-hander? Or should I stick to the Unbroken and go with a shield...?
-
I think that when going for a Riposte build then Nerian's Ward is likely the better choice as it has a hit to miss conversion of 15%. Basically increasing your effective deflection by 5 with even Acc vs Def. Becomes more effective the stronger the opponent is. Which is exactly what you'd want. Of course Casità Samelia's Legacy is the better armor then as you can increase your deflection by another 9-10 then. Getting into numbers such as 170+ (with Nerian's Ward)

I took the numbers from the website. I think they're the old numbers. I calculated with 16 average damage for WotEP. It is indeed 12. Dang that makes a huge difference. Set at 104 damage in the calculation sheet. Don't really know if I need all the engagement slots if I don't plan on using them for very long. I would only need 3 I think, even if I'm engaged by 4 or 5 enemies at the same time I will strigger the disengagement on 1 or 2 of them and then trigger the Mob Stance cleave attack on others. But then getting a coffee is probably off the table. If I use Karabörü I get bonus to crits which will allow me to deal over 200 damage per crit, which can be increased per enemy killed by 2%. Chances are that this will kill most mobs and if I'm lucky I will trigger the secondary AoE attack on Karabörü as well for some extra delicious damage. Probably a good idea to equip Entonia Signet Ring when engaged with this many enemies. So here's the deal. Devoted would deal more damage as it has +2 pen on all attacks. Possibly never going to need that extra 8 when you crit. (11 legendary GS + 2 devoted + 2 tenacious) * 1.5 Crit = 22,5 penetration. Even if it's just normal penetration, it would still deal more damage on crits due to the extra 25% crit damage I think. I will lose an engagement slot. So I'd have to go with Reckless Brigandine, Blackened Plate Helm Persistent distraction and Hold the Line for a total of 5 slots. Possibly could lose the helm or hold the line for another option. Yes the deflection will be lower so you won't trigger the Riposte attack. Thing is, riposte and disengagement don't synergize. It's fun if possible, but most enemies will be running away from you and not attacking you. Just calculated a char with max level Swashbucker ends up with 22 + 57 deflection without resolve. That's 79 base deflection. Add cloak of Greater deflection, Entonia signet Ring (x5 engagement), Vigorous Defense, Greater Deflection and Llengrath's displaced image and you get 79 + 7 + 10 + 20 + 4 + 10 = 130, you can stack this with Moonwell for 140. This is without a shield or any other item/potion/buff to deflection. I'd say that's very reasonable. On Veteran not much is actually going to hit you.
