  1. That's the other thing that would totally suck if I ever started doing drugs, besides the whole I have an addictive personality and it runs in my genes anyway. My metabolism is so gosh danged fast that I come down off of caffiene and become incredibly tired after 1-2 hours. You know how much crack I'd have to do to stay high?!

  3. Yeah, I'm just pretty happy I even got the game. My system's been pretty good about not bugging games up, hope I get this lucky the next time I upgrade <crosses fingers> I can't really help you with the first two, but as for the last one, the game doesn't do app switching. At all. Every time I've tried I've had to manually end it.
  4. I'd DM but I have no experience at all. That and my schedule's constantly changing. I'm enjoying the recaps though.
  5. What bug are you running into? The only one I ran into was not being able to finish the final chase scene due to them decreasing the default walking speed from the Xbox version. Workaround involves either editing the .exe file with a Hex Editor, or trial and erroring your way through while not using the strafe keyes at all. This makes no sense considering the strafe keys plus the forward key are sometimes the quickest way to move from point A to B, but it worked for me so meh.
  6. That's good, we always need food.
  7. Results may vary.

    Henry? Henry?!!
  9. I'll have a picture of my desk later. If I can find a camera. It's dirtier than any of ya'lls desks though. Even the worst look clean in comparison to mine.
  10. Well it is Canada.

So after an all night hangout fest at a friend's house I collapsed on their couch. I woke up a few hours later and everyone else was still sleeping, and there was a copy of Blame! volume 1 sitting on the coffee table next to me belonging to his wife. I read it, and now the seedy world of Manga has it's hooks in me. I'm gonna have to buy the other four that're out since she doesn't have them yet. Weep not for me internets for I am already lost.
  12. All the ones I saw were on the offical forums. Just poke around there and you'll find them.
  13. 8/10 First half to three quarters of the game were perfect. Latter parts became a little gunfighty. The entire thing was very atmospheric but especially the earlier bits. HUD-less system adds a lot to it, I found myself trying to mentally keep track of how many bullets I'd spent since I didn't have a meter onscreen. Learning curve is brutal and I was only on the normal difficulty setting, headshots and conserving your ammo are important. I think if it hadn't had run into so much trouble during development and Bethesda didn't act like total jackasses it could've been 'the perfect game' easy. There are some bugs in the PC version related to the quick port. Most of them are fixable by the user using a Hex Editor and after I ran into one I found out there's a pretty thriving fan community and already several fan patches out, which unlike the Bloodlines ones only seem to add features that were cut due to the limitations of the Hexbox hardware.
  14. Well you're the one that said 'track that down'. Geez.
  15. Not really hard to find, was sitting right on the shelf in the game store and it's all over the intertron.
  16. I just finished Dark Corners of the Earth. Seven more screenshots in the pics of your games thread as soon as I'm finished. None from the actual ending though, that'd be telling. It was really good, damn shame Headfirst went under. More people need to play this. I'll also upload a .wmv file I found in the game folders that looks to be a promo trailer with actual game footage that never got released...because of the piss poor marketing.
  17. What about Bloodlines?!! JE = Better?
  18. Teehee, Viscy took the bait! )
  19. Copy protection is your friend! It keeps the pirates from stealing the informations and keeps the cost of your entertainment down!
  20. I think that what's bothering you is that she's just plain ugly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not to mention common as dirt. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That and slimily rotten to the core.
  21. No, but I can make furniture out of various items, am pretty good with machines, sew, kill small animals with my bare hands and roast them over a fire, and I'm a total idiot savant from all the reading I do so there's no telling when I'll know something about a current situation.
  22. My god, for 2k you could buy a supercomputer if all you're doing is adding new parts to the old ones.
  23. I'm not sure if it is organic or not. I do remember that the Metal Gear Rays in MGS2 "bled" as well, and there was no mention of them containing any organic material. Personally, I think it's just artistic license, meant to make the Metal Gears seem more like monsters (this, by the way, is consistent with Metal Gear Rex, Ray, and the Shagohad "roaring"). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it's hydraulic fluid... mechanics have it colored red so that they can see it when it's broken. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good point. I still think the sprays are done as artistic license. As Gromnir has said in the past, the Japanese tend to love giant monsters (this is not racist, but a cultural observation based on stories). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man, that's racist. I'm reporting you.
  24. Yeah, I got screwed over on that test because my current residence is less'n 5 miles away from Beal Air Force Base.
