  1. Raithe is right. Once you know "the patern" heroic space missions will turn 100% guaranteed wins once you just repeat said patern each time. Bonusses are pretty easy too, bar the fighter one on the space station defense mission. Of course since they require you to repeat the same thing over and over and over again they can get pretty boring too once you know the trick to finish them. Since there's absolute no randomness to them. Which is a shame...
  2. I usually do the H2's (since, always leveling with zbyl), skipping the H4's though... not worth the time and effort to gather a team. Might do them solo extremely overleved just to get the story-element though, but they're generally pretty bland and/or non-existant. I got maxed space rep somehow (even with 50% compared to subs)... so yeah, you can guess how many heroics I did . Too tired of them now. Let space PvP commence. Hopefully more fun than regular PvP. And now I feel stupid, since you meant Heroic Space Missions, not heroics on the planet. I blame above posts
  3. After saving Dhagon Riiken should walk around the sector there (unless already fired). As for the 3rd captain, he will spawn in the cantina ONLY after you ask Anda about him, and then you can remove him properly.
  4. The space-stuff sounds awesome. And coming on a date when I got tired off regular space as it is ingame. Subs can enter december, prefs like me in january and f2p in february. So I get guinea pigs testing and bugfixing it for me too! Who says preferred status isn't the best current status of membership of TOR? As for gifts, yeah, the spam is pretty silly. Atleast it makes more sense in TOR being a MMO-credit sink, and useful for trading and such, giving me tons of money from the GTN somehow. It's totally undefendable in Dragon Age though.
  5. Ehm... I think you misread my text. I was going to continue on, even if things are going this bad. And only once I REALLY loose restart. Sadly, didn't have time to put this to practice yet, no time to game :/ Yeah, the Crysalids, yes. But next time I will be prepared with better armor and laser weapons hopefully. Yeah, have 2 of them already. But didn't really understand the 'replace with other fighter' once I had to retreat, I let them leave. Bad me... Next time they'll get it. Haven't lost a sattelite yet, fortuantely, but of course only have 3 being so early in the game. And thanks for the tips and advices!
  6. Yeah, I think one of my biggest mistake is not having laser weapons yet 0_o After the farce of making 5 suits thinking it was improved body armor (not, and they gathered dust since) I was kind of hesitant of making engineers create stuff. Oh well, rookie mistakes, should help next game. Or salvage this one. And cryssalids ineffective? Sheesh, I don't want to meet effective ones then. And yeah, saved 2 civvies, but the others kinda got killed off-screen, or while I was dealing with cryssalids, zombies and being surrounded. Though I was sure glad those civvies made sure no more of my soldiers died by being the attack target instead XD
  7. Saw BL2 on sale on Steam, 10 euro. Then saw the DLC was 150 euro. Then said... nevermind, I'll wait for the gold-edition. Well, you guys were right, people would die on my team. A LOT of them. And things have taken a turn for the worse. After the easy starting missions with people raising rank easy I got a storymission to infiltrate an enemy base. Sure, why not? Okay, most my expert team was in the hospital, but I had my best guy on it with a couple of recruits. What could go wrong? Approxatemly 1 minute in the mission 2 insectoids appeared. They killed one of my troops, hurt one other. Zombie rose, killed another team member. So, was already down to 2 members in good condition and one injured for the rest of the mission. The second time I met 2 insects I still saved myself (thanks to a rocket launcher and a grenade). By the time the third group of 2 appeared though I was down to 1 in good condition and 1 hurt, and got mauled. Bye bye most trained soldier. So after my team was mostly healed I wanted to give it another shot, with better experienced soldiers and my own extra expertise. It went even worse. In the first encounter my sniper bit the dust from poison just before I could heal him :/. Then with 4 fully healed troops I met insects. 2x 3 of them closely together. And my entire team wiped. So with all my experienced troops dead, I was left for my recruits. Queue trying to train them with random missions. A terror one soon after that. Again 2 insects. You can guess the result (if not check the screenshot thread). I suppose you have to use overwatch on them, but it's hard to do that if you don't even know they're there. And once you know, their insane speed, health and power rips you appart. Still not quite sure how to proper cope with them. Then a few more abductions came without the insects. Still, several deads. Which makes it hard to train troops. And gearing them was hard because not having a lot of alloys (although I suppose also part my fault for spending most of them on blasters to send to Japan for a request). The very first after the terror I saw a car burning. Nice visual effect I thought... BOOOOOOOM. 2 of my troops down to 1 health, both in shock, starting to shoot on my own troops. Had to use medpack to stabilise the hit one, and the other one I kept permanently away from harm afterwards. So I was down to 2 (one already died before). Made it though. But while those small victories accumalate, I loose all UFO battles. Probably lack of upgrades, but they all say 'fighter needs to get close, higher risk'. No wonder I didn't buy them. Although since I always loose now I probably should try them. The hostages can help lower panic in 1 area, but it raises it in 2 others. Failed UFO's raise panic even more. And thus currently 3 countries are already way in the red, and I have no means to prevent that from happening, and not in a state either yet to move on the main mission. We'll see how the game fares. Not gonna give up. Can always restart if it really goes game over. And then, not normal or hard as some suggested here, but easy once more. I need it... Talking about UFO's and fighters... why the heck do I scramble fighterS but end up only being able to get 1? What the? What's my fleet for? Although I suppose it's later so you have different loadouts against different types of UFO's, I find it really odd that fighter scrambling works the way it does... And now I wonder who actually read all that xD.
  8. Me getting my ass kicked in X-Com (as can also be read in the 'What are you playing now' thread, but here's some sad proof)... Mission success! Just half your team died and the entire general population. But the enemy is dead... that was the point, no? It's... starting to get out of control.
  9. Played a bit X-Com for the 2-day free action of Steam. Think it got me hooked. Probably gonna buy it to play more later. Even though I suck (playing on easy (yes, all you pro's can laugh) and already lost a recruit in one of the earlier missions)... who cares as long as it's fun right. Can't all be experts at a genre's...
  10. X-COM free to try for the next 2 days... So downloading now... Shame I really got little time to try it Also BG:EE for 75% off. Wonder if I should get it (got the original on DVD, not quite sure if the changes are worth it reading about them)...
  11. I'm always playing the story with Zbyl. I would have definitely stopped playing Loooooooooooooong ago, not even finishing my first char, if not.
  12. Someone has a dirty mind since even with the circle I see nothing...
  13. Spend $5, get pref, and you even got yourself a better deal than subscribers! And I agree, TOR is most fun with 2 playing the storyline. If you're alone, too much killing, healing, killing, healing. 2 somewhat counters.
  14. Or some others (like me) check the GTN for severly underpriced items and sell them for their proper price, and take the profit . It certainly served me well so far. And the GTN/Mailbox is an excellent way to get around the 350K limitation, got, what, 2-3M stored in my mailbox?
  15. It's even empty on prime time on the Red Eclipse. Perfect for seeker droid hunting if I feel like it (not often I admit since they cured my addiction with that one patch ruining seeker droids, it's still not the same). Yeah. Also very annoying the first time you enter the GTN it's locked on 'prices' as normal, but they're still fumbled up. Had a few items up before I realised that (since it redoes it every time you change areas) which obviously never will be solved. Or you can ask on the fleet/Ilum (though prob no luck there without gree) and manually launch a SM game. As for the HK's, the listed information is false. Once you unlock HK ONCE (doesn't matter the side) the global HK-51 unlock (also seen in the legacy under the globals) is unlocked, allowing the individual HK's to be unlocked. Which, as stated, cost 1 million credits. So if your rep is very rich, you can skip it, but you need to pay that much for each char you want HK on without the questline.
  16. The digging in the Outlaw Den isn't for HK, just generic seeker droid. One of my favorite zones myself since NO-ONE is ever there, and it has a sweet teleport skill just to start treasure hunting. Add some GTN action inbetween, and it's quite fun. I don't think they ever intended it for that purpose though. 2.4 opinions (based on not even having played it yet, will try shortly though); Nice GTN changes indeed. Also sweet; * Characters created before Game Update 2.3 can now progress beyond the first affection conversation with Treek. Time to get my Treek! * Tauntaun reward Didn't bother yet with Hoth, which seems like a good deal now, less irritation, same amount of tauntaun XD Less impressed; * Lack of Consular changes. Phase Walk still sucks unbelievable hard, especially seeing it's a 51 ability. * Removed Isotope-5 as a material requirement for crafting Rating 156 [Artifact] gear. As if the price hadn't plummeted enough yet :/ * Players can now purchase Priority Transport: Oricon under the Travel section of Legacy Character Perks. Do we seriously need a new one PER daily area. Black hole, CZ, Oricon, all sharing a cooldown. Can't they simply add a priority transport that calls the daily area console popup with BH, SX, Makeb, CZ and Oricon to replace those 3? Cause for SX and Makeb it's unnecessary loading now... and the multiple abilities is just bloat. Of course after making this I was made aware basic comm vendors no longer sell Isotope-5. So now I blame myself for offing some for 99k thinking the price would plummet even further 2 days before patch, rather than hoarding and getting some sweeeet money now
  17. Yeah, I would have just figured if they merge clone X and Y they simply give people having Y (the least one in the game) X. Trained X and Y? Refund. Got blue Y, green X? Blue X. Both blue? Some components to make up for the loss training both. But yeah, I can see that being database extensive. And tricky with their patching incompetance. It's also one of the many reasons several people want full new versions (like 2.5) to be simply pure bug-fixes for a change. A chance to finally clean the mess, rather than they add even more to an already instable and poluted mess they do now, and just making actually fixing stuff harder and harder and more complex, and even less likely to happen down the road.
  18. Don't forget they broken the lvl 7 laser (again) as well as the improved power change thingie (the 1 and 2 button). Maybe they are preparing for the Secret Space Project, and as usual, are very bad at what they do and break everything? You can remove crew skills. In the menu (with N) just press the X after the skill. You cannot remove combat skills, but you can simply remove them off the taskbar. If more people knew that they shouldn't have removed the oh-so-cool 'stun attack' :/ I still miss those. Oh yeah, those enhancement mods are hell. Some are even clones. Wish BW would just merge the clones, make it all easier to manage. Not sure why they aren't... They do add fixes or 'tweaks' unlisted in the patchnotes. Sometimes postive for us, sometimes negative. Sometimes breaking stuff which makes you 'wtf?' since it's not related to anything in patchnotes.
  19. Thank you very much and done. Guess really no-one wants Poker Night? It has Max! And TF2 items!
  20. Wouldn't you just get a CK2 to give away? When I bought Poker Night 2 I got a free Poker Night, wich I already had (and not from Steam, but Telltale gave Steam copies then for the TF2 items), so the PN1 has been in my inventory since to give away, with no-one wanting it so far... And yeah, know the 4-packs... but... some of the titles mentioned (KOTOR, Spec Ops, AP, X-com) don't have that. Nor bundles. I suppose Bendu confuses me most xD And an in-thread thank you as well.
  21. I would be interested in the following (if still available); Mark of the Ninja Bastion Limbo XCom + DLC As for offerings to other people, I don't got a lot (how the hell do you guys end up with so many double copies anyway?); * Poker Night at the inventory and 2 -10% off coupons; Toki Tori 2+ (valid till july 2014) and Shadow Warrior (valid till september 26, so this one you have to be fast if you want it). Feel free to take them off my hands
  22. Maybe that explains it too. Maybe it's also that I just got too much of it already with Arkham City, and can't stand more of that type of combat. Just so much of it in AC, and SD has the same overload of combat. It's too much. EDIT: As for playing, still BrĂ¼tal Legends. At the final battle. While most RTS segments where kinda easy (and dull, they worn out their welcome fast) the boss totally ran over me. Of course, that's cause it cheated and destroyed my entire force and 2 towers while I was in hack & slash mode to finish his health to 1/3rd. Should try sometime later, but I think doing sidequests, and hunting for collectables listening to metal is more appealing to me than trying that stupid RTS again.
  23. I really liked Midnight Club II on PC. Of course the sequels are console-only so I had to miss out on. As for better combat, people said that to me (here too) about Sleeping Dogs. And Sleeping Dogs combat is absolutely infuriating and getting on my nerves within just a few missions, give me a gun already! So, yeah. Also, question, does V continue on on the 'realistic driving' fad they went on with IV? It was such a letdown, suddenly chases and just driving around just wasn't fun anymore, and then what the hell is a GTA good for?
  24. She did. Then she got cloned/reanimated by a comic book nerd turned mad scientist in SR3. Which also got killed...
