  1. Does the JJT hiccups in general? (Due to the smoke) The Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 fix (in the swkotor2.ini, under [Graphic Options]) might fix this problem relatively easy. Always worth the try! Also the patch fixes an issue in the JJT. Not sure what it is, but it might help you. Have you updated to 1.0b?
  2. I am pretty sure that's a typo and it was intended to read the Droid "PLANET" mod (Dstoney's). Or I am mistaking...
  3. For the latest: Paradox Majesty Forum. Have you tried Burnout series? Or the one I already linked to? Audio-Surf? I am quite hooked on it, it is original, looks quite good for an indie game and is only $10 to boot...
  4. Yeah; another one of those well known issues KSE could have fixed within 2 min. (or less) You most likely triggered an area-transition (Ebon Hawk) just before the cutscene was about to trigger, messing up gamestates That one might be fixed if you update the drivers of your videocard. It did for me atleast with a card that rivalled the recommended...
  5. Talking 'bout S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Get out of there, Stalker!
  6. Well, I cannot say for sure if that is all correct (though the feat description of redirect does mention it is added to the LS roll aswell). I CAN point you to the logs screen however, it is hidden inside the Quest tab (under messages). There it is further redirected into 4 tabs, the one you seek for being the combat log.
  7. The amount of people on forums who bitch on RTS and RPG's because they don't have the graphics of (enter latest graphic-standerd FPS here) is quite astonishing. Good thing that doesn't happen here though...
  8. I think the major trouble is with FPS taking the lead in the market, and people expecting that. The "most anticipated" games are the ones with the most beautiful graphics, but no depht at all (Crysis, Halo etc.), and for some reasons everywhere you go in other genres idiots expect these kind of graphics there aswell. And since the idiots make the majority, and pay up the producers are going to make stuff for them primarily. Still, there is good to be found, if you just look beyond the major companies. I am looking forward to Majesty2, and Steam features some nice games as Sam & Max or Audio Surf, that aren't made by the big companies.
  9. Unfortunately Kotor2 isn't made to run on laptops. Have you installed the patch? It fixes *some* Intel chipset bugs, maybe you get lucky...
  10. *sigh* Read it... it's the well-known bug that was included in the 1.0b patch. Rushed patch, for a rushed product *sigh again*
  11. Yeah; sometimes. Since the sollution to the issue involves using a mod (Whereami armband: to open doors) and you play it on the X-box I am afraid you have to reload.
  12. Ran flawlessly on my 2 PC's (ME and XP) I tried it on. Only the software-depending bugs, and the ME had the Dantooine Lag pre-ini edit.
  13. Or have a knack for ignoring totally obvious bugs. Like: Hey, Aada, why do you thank me for reuniting me with your husband if I slayed the guy?
  14. *snuff* A simple INI-tweak and those bonus-lines appear on each and every of your PC-Kotor2 playthroughs.
  15. To top off the convo; TSL X-Box actually has 2 more game-stopping glitches than 1.0 TSL PC.
  16. You forgot the biggest one: http://tubertarian.com/kotor2missingcontent.php
  17. Well; bear with me, because about everybody has the issues you mention. A little more detailed description of each: There seems to be no "non-hologram" alternative for this scene, so if you do not have Frame Buffer Effects he is talking to the wall. You mentioned you had them turned on though, are you sure. Can you use Force Sight, or get Camera Overlays? Also an issue that appears with any game, because the conversation calls for empty voicelines, and thus skips right away. Interim fix would be to replace the "broken" voice-overs with copies of working ones, but I don't have a list ready of which those are. Otherwise you can wait like the rest of us for TSLRP, which should fix all instances of this happening. Also happens with even top-notch systems. It just takes some time to fade-in new chars, and if the camera is already locked in that location before the spawn... Also noted each char has 9 Armor when on the EH? EH Equiping is buggy to say the least. Another annoying one, that happens only with lower-end systems like yours though. Aurora just doesn't like them... Also happens to everyone. But really the only movie that intercuts the game is the introduction of Visas, so it shouldn't be that much of a problem overall. If it happens to you on the EH after landing on a planet; that was fixed in 1.0B.
  18. Yeah; the voices start sounding very "off" if not properly altered. An example in an unmodded Kotor2 would be taking G0-T0 to dantooine to the fake Holocron seller than ask wheter "Powerful and (forgot), isn't that an exagoration". The following line is VERY different from each of his other voice-lines in the game.
  19. Guess no-one told Obsidian. Especially with Kotor2's Convo "boss fights". And the pinacle of FPS-Storywriting seems to have been reached in 2000 with Deus Ex, then got downhill for some reason from then on again.
  20. Not so long into gaming, so primarily newer titles here. RPG's isn't the favorite genre either, so alot of yet unmentioned titles. In no particular order: * Majesty * The Curse of Monkey Island * Deus Ex * Kohan 2 * Dungeon Siege 2 * Midnight Club II * Freelancer * GTA 3/VC (SA was less) * Painkiller * C&C: Red Alert
  21. Ooooh... The Sims. What is sillier is limiting one and having endless supplies of other. Freelancer comes to mind (limited goods, but you could have an infinite amount of weaponry). In general I agree with having ways in RPG's to limit people from carrying everything they find around, but it shouldn't become as redicilous as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Seriously, if enemies take that much fire to take down, why can't you take a proper amount of ammo around without becoming weighted down. I don't want to restock after each map!)
  22. Sounds like a mod-conflict. And mr. Walkerguy; tell us how exactly you got the Escaped Criminals to spawn flawlessly, how you managed to finish "Redemption", if you ever PROPERLY finished the Telos Fuel Quest, wheter the HK-50's make sense when you leave the Telos Base etc. etc. All things that have been fixed for the PC, but a X-boxer has no way around now.
  23. Neither, you actually have to resize the files using BINK AND SMACKER (just google it). Added bonus is they take less space then too.
