  1. I did not actively take part in the forums at IP, mostly because I didn't like their format. But I do remember my first encounters with people like Gromnir and Karzak. Kudos to Gromnir for staying in character for so long.
  2. Just PM it to one of the channel mods asking him to pass it along. Maybe you can PM Chris himself!
  3. Just a bizarre rule you hold yourself to. The Internet is a means of communication, and if you're conscious while taking part in it (hint: we all are), then it's real life. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Psssst, remember that Hades is part of the simulation. :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoops. Minus TOMBS points for me!
  4. Sorry if we were elsewhere during the discussion. It's an internet forum. Who gives a smeg! Then why are you so adamant in your position If you're going to state something on the Internet, but not care because somehow it's not "real life," then why state it? Just a bizarre rule you hold yourself to. The Internet is a means of communication, and if you're conscious while taking part in it (hint: we all are), then it's real life.
  5. Yup. If I say something that I shouldn't, then it will likely mean that someone ELSE (at the company) is going to be in crap. And I'd feel bad about that.
  6. I have been invited to a games night there this Saturday, so I could probably ask. I get along well with most of the guys there so they'd probably answer. Except....... That I probably wouldn't feel proper coming on here and saying it anyways. I am always acting under the assumption that, unless it's common knowledge, I shouldn't say anything. As an programmer myself though, I have had quite a few interesting discussions with them. It was funny when we were watching a guy play CoD2 on an XBOX 360, the graphics guy started talking about about how the game looks good. I didn't realize he was the graphics guy and started talking with him, and then I ended up being on the receiving end of a ton of technical jargon about what was and was not being done in the game, and stuff he felt was there for optimizations and whatnot :D
  7. Fair enough. A policy I often employ too....though depending on the game it might not be until after a couple of playthroughs.
  8. Gah - I clicked on this topic from the main page hoping it would be about FO2...but sadly 'twas not to be. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HAHAHA, So did I. I thought I was going into Computer and Console, and I was like "WTF? Oh....I'm in the KOTOR 2 forums!"
  9. Like I said, we have no idea what Bioware's actual expectation were, so we can't say if it's good or bad.

  11. I thought that that tagging didn't work quite like that, as it doubles your "points" in those skills, but after you reach certain values it starts costing more skill points to improve them. How the heck did you reduce your skills anyways?
  12. NHL

Then why bring up 130-160 point seasons? You're as guilty as I am for talking in future tense. Plus, you asked me what it would take for Crosby to live up to the hype. The hype is about what type of impact he will have in the game of hockey...not how good his rookie season is. Even if he gets 140 points this season, if he comes back and averages 40 points per season for the rest of his career, I think it's safe to say he didn't live up to the hype. Even then I still think he needs to do a bit better this season for him to have lived up to the hype for his rookie season. He's having a great season, but in order for his rookie season to live up to the hype, I'd still say he needs to perform at an even higher level. If he can keep up tonight's performance, then more power to him. The loss of Palffy and Mario has put him even more into Mario's situation, and he seems to have had an inspired game. In other news, it's was great to see the comeback. I'm sure Giguere is in the dog house.
  13. I used to be pretty bad for it. "WTF?? My arm is broken and now my aim sucks? Screw that!" "OMG my ear was bitten off, and now my Charisma sucks? Screw that!" Since I've stopped though, I find games more exciting as they tend to be more unique on replays, and certainly more challenging.
  14. I agree. In fact, I probably wouldn't mind if the whole plot progressed over the relationship that you have with both your Master, and your apprentice. Whatever that plot may be.
  15. It's good for healing rapidly, as well as treating serious ailments like broken bones and whatnot. Unfortunately I find people usually just end up reloading the game when this happens, so there's actually little point
  16. "I'm hoping for a fully fleshed out, Master-Apprentice role, where over the course of the game, you move from Apprentice to Master." IMO you were hardly a "Master" as all you did was go through a dialogue that flipped a magical switch that enabled Jedi powers.
  17. The setting is about the only thing important to Fallout. It's a fictional world, and a ruleset is just an abstraction that is created to handle interactions in that world. I'd be very happy if they came up with a system that was even better than SPECIAL.
  18. What, no consideration to the setting. It seems silly that people have these demands such as "must have camera style control X" and "use rule system Y" and so on, otherwise they will absolutely not be buying the game. My preference for a game is that it must be FUN. Next up, interesting...which is related to fun. The only concern I have for cameras and controls is that they are intuitive and don't hinder the game experience. This is because I like games, and enjoy playing fun games. If it is a fun game, I will get it. People here are such hardliners that even if the gaming consensus agrees that Fallout 3 completely revolutionizes the games industry with phenomenal storywriting, fantastic plot, magnificent characters, with all the freedom of choice and a tight story and pull off a 1 in a million perfect game....if it doesn't use SPECIAL then you just aren't buying it. Yeah right
  19. Just like you had sworn off PC gaming for consoles and were never coming back. Or all of your bitching about KOTOR2 (and KOTOR1) because of them forcing you down the path of the Jedi. Remember, the only reason why you even played it is because someone else bought it for you, right? You've already caved on your previous stance of demanding that it by a 2D isometric view, because that's what "Fallout is." If there's one thing I've learned on these boards, is that your word doesn't mean very much. IMO you're just a drama queen.
  20. What about the insanely annoying fact that you are forced to be a Jedi?
  21. Actually, the most effective way would probably be a written letter actually. I would probably suggest doing both actually. You can find some mailing address (and e-mail addresses) here. Give the Product PR guys a try. If you can't decide which one, do all of them.
  22. I didn't have a problem reading it.
  23. Perhaps KOTOR 3 should be entirely in l33tsp34k! I'm hoping for a fully fleshed out, Master-Apprentice role, where over the course of the game, you move from Apprentice to Master.
