Definitely pick Riposte! The problem with the Tanga club is its low pen, it has less pen then any other one hander in the game, at legendary it has 10 pen. Wich is a shame because it's got nice enchants on it. If you are dual wielding on this guy I'd recommend Squids grasp as it gives u immunity to flanked, think of it as +10 deflection and +1 armour. Also gives u 20% action speed as long as there are 3 or more enemies. It's also a fast weapon so full attacks are quicker. Weapons like this makes me wonder why they even put weapons like Azure blade into the game

Yeah i like the second example better, that attribute spread and bulls will is going to help a lot vs arcane dampener also as a rogue u have enough dmg boosts as is. I don't like the low dex tho, neither paladin nor trickster have anything for action speed. I would take 2 points out of per, int and resolve and put em all into dex.

As far as I could understand obsidian all gear SHOULD stack, so I suspect that the cloak and bracer issue is just a bug. I have never tried two rings of greater regeneration because there are quite a few good rings, if it doesn't work it should be bug reported @OP does the pale light give the wielder healing also? I have the impression that it only heal allies according to the description? I could also be thinking about something else I dunno. Asking because I was thinking about getting that shield for my paladin, I love the cosmetics of it but I've never used it so far.

The initiate is appreciated OP, but consider editing ur post with the feedback provided. Well I can second that wizard pairs well with cipher because of self buffs and spiritlance. It was one of the first characters I played. I love an ascended wizard with mindblades and combusting wounds, I also love a wizard with Borrowed Instincts. @Haplok the berserkers hit to crit is only for melee =/ Also I do not think rogue pairs poorly with casters, just like everything else it just depends on how u intend to play ur character. A rogue adds to any caster what they otherwise lack, strong melee dmg output. Maybe ur a wizard who want to spend a lot of time in melee and just cherrypick a few spells? A rogue with spiritlance or blights with the wizards deflection buffs, able to put toxic strike in AoE with a buffed intelligence is very very strong. Maybe ur a druid who enjoys shapeshifting, a tricksters defences and dmg passives fit perfectly with the nasty attack speed of the cat shift. Imo rogue is a bit like fighter, it can fit and improve just about any other class. I also disagree with ranger high lvl abilities, that's where u get the powerful actives the ranger otherwise can lack. But for example twin shot might not be very impressive with a pistol or even an arquebus, but use twin shot with for example frostseeker and its super cool, especially paired with avenging storm scrolls (see my Arcana Archer build) or when firing at mobs afflicted with combusting wounds. Even a melee ranger is amazing as a single class because of whirling strike. Any crit build is great multiclassing with a ranger no matter if u go ranged or melee.

pally gets +20 bonus to deflection that is passive and stacks with everything. Goldpact pally get +4 AR on top of that that stacks with Unbroken AR +1 for a total off +5AR So no your example is way off Not even in the ballpark And what is refreshing defense? You mean vigorous defense? No it deadfire doesnt stack with mirror image you have made a mistake This is probably one of the most ignorant responses ive ever seen on this forum. I get 171 Deflection on that guy, that is pretty much the same u get from paladin with the same statspread and maxed deep fatih. Also worth noting is that anyone who are engaged by me also suffer from -5 perception and it doesnt cost me anything so thats +5 to all defenses as well. Now i am fully aware that a crusader is sturdier, because its a proper turtle build combination, while the swashbuckler bring a lot more dmg but keep similar enough defense. "not even in the ball park" only shows how clueless u really are. Rogues 50% reflex graze to miss is nothing to sneeze at either.

Unbroken+Trickster. Stack engagement slots and u can lock down as many enemies as can surround u. U will automatically put distracted on everyone, ur dmg will be good and ur defenses will be skyhigh. Anyone who tries to disengage will regret it. Trickster also bring Riposte :D Refreshing defense also stack with mirrored image for some reason. Unbroken + persistent distraction + hold the line + last word + reckless brig + medium shield gives u +6 engagement slots in mob stance and +9 in defender stance. Last word gets +5% dmg per engaged target and reckless brig gives u +5% action speed per engaged target and mob stance gives u -5% recovery per engaged target. This combined with the rogues sneak attack means u get a great tank with also great dmg.

Barbarian also have a nice raw dmg dot from blood frenzy wich triggers on crits but I'm not sure if it stacks with itself. A berserker/devoted with pukestabber might be very neat, but honestly I'd rather go unbroken so I could have the option to switch weapon against enemies that don't puke. Tons of hit to crit conversions on that build, add the new ring from the deck of many things for another 15% when u have made some money. I'm not sure how hit to crit stacking work tho?

Ohyes I love thorny roots and the small AoE is no problem with a pull of eora and some timing. The duration on the root is beastly evil!

There's nothing wrong with an Oracle, doesn't matter if there's a lot of synergies because there rarely is with casters anyway. I played a wizard/cipher and it was strong. U could try rot skulls as a focus generator. I don't have any experience with rot skulls in this game myself but I imagine it work like blights and in that case it's not bad. In the early game the cat form spiritshift is very good and when u want to get a quick succession of cipher spells out u could spirit shift to cat and press it's self buff for a nice amount of speed. I'd rather go ascendant in that case to get the most out of it.
