I'm planning on running a Brute. I wanted to use armor rating to tank hits if possible. Is that a good build or should I just go pure Barbarian? U can but potd and uscaled have a lot of pen, even a simple cave grub have 12+ pen on normal hits. Crits will always overpen u. You would need platinated plate, thick skin, blunting belt, armor pots and immunity to flanking if u want to prevent pen and even then they would pen u easily with crits. Not all ofc but enemies who hurt will. Find ways to daze enemies. I think barbarians shout does this but I'm not sure if it's on a PL8 or 9 upgrade. Leap also dazes. Problem is barbarians limited resources vs their expensive skills

Is the 30% damage drop not that bad? I'd be going from 30 while frenzied to 20. Nah not really, dex is better until u hit that spot where more speed gives very little in return. I'm playing a Solo archer right now Assassin/Wizard with 31 in combat dex built for kiting and I love how responsive these kind of characters get. Watching the recovery bar in snail speed is horrible for me Barbarian and fighter get a lot of speed bonuses on their own tho but maybe just a few more dex points? ;P

If a tank is already tanky enough the thing to focus on is dps not more tankyness, more tankyness then unkillable doesnt make u more unkillable, same thing ive been trying to tell tank players in everquest 2 for a decade. More dps means shorter fights wich means that buffs such as unbending lasts for the whole fight and that enemies will have less time to use their tricks on u. 10% chance to recover resources on recieving crit is a very low chance, dunno if it used to be more when this build was originally made?

Playing a character with this bow atm and the description tells me that when i have critically hit an enemy with it a creature should spawn upon its death, yet it hardly ever does? I can see the crit and i can see the effect on the mob but when it dies it rarely ever spawn anything from the carcass. Is it supposed to be RNG or am i not allowed to kill them with DoTs such as arterial strike?

Grab a large shield with modal - works wonders against ranged volleys. Ihave a Warlock with <100 deflection atm and he can survive lots of stuff just with the modal on. Hmm i could try that, truth is i lost patience because i have something else i really wanted to play with the new animancer bow :D, so i will try a large shield on the mystic when i load him up again ;D.. Also i was a little displeased because i lost Dawnstar Blessing lol

On hold for now because ranged enemies take a crap on me, it doesnt have proper healing for a Solo playthrough and im loosing patience. Deflection of 140 is not enough without good healing to back it up
