Rat swarm to close Farmhouse
Hannibal_PJV replied to Urtar37's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
RedPred is right in here. Even if there is a animation it is possible that the thing animation normally means does not happen actually. -
Yes, it is a nightmare and I personally enjoy it It is very hard to make difficulty level to suit all. That is why I like the wide variety. You can get something really challenging or you can get something that you can deal with. Same with the tabletop games. Some people think that Rice of the Runelords was the best considering the difficulty. Some think that Wrath of Rigteousnes was the best considering the difficulty and both team Are right in their own perspective. We need easy ones and we need nightmare ones. My personal dream would be more cranual difficulty levels, but I Expect that the three we now have is the max. So my dream is quite close to your hopes. It would require some tier system to wild cards. The problem is that for some team one wild card is a nightmare and another team it would be just an annoyance. So the balanging system would be very complicated. It would have to take in account what characters you have, what combinations of characters you have in the team, what powers and cards They have, what is the playing Style and strategy of spesific player and so on. So at this moment I think that random combinations Are best, but when Obsidian start to get data of what combination Are the hardest and what Are the easiest... Maybe, we can always hope

Quest Mode Retaliation is Broken
Hannibal_PJV replied to PodioSpaz's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
That is the biggest problem with this bug. What is causing it? So very accurate conditions Are essential in cases like this. I personally have newer seen this bug and I have played a lot! So the bug hunting in the cases like this Are hard. Dev have to be able to reproduce the problem so that They can try to find the fix for it. So any extra detail of information will help. I will keep an eye on this, but Lets see if I ever personally encounter this. So any player that see this treath and can give extra information is usefull to the devs. RedPreds tip to send save file just when this is happening is maybe the best! I think that in this case it may not be so easy even with those files, because we don't have clear reason, but files can definitely help in backtracking! -
Supported Devices
Hannibal_PJV replied to Flounder's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I think that dev has been planning to smaller screen phones, so it is affecting big screen phones. But UI is always tinkering. If we think win8, win8.1, win10, win10 anniversary edition. It is basically the same and all the time there Are some changes. I Expect to see tinkering in here Also. In the long run the UI have to be useable in 34" 4K resolution PC monitor, when Steam version comes out. It Also have to work in Tiny iPhone se and some smaller Android devices. And that means some compromises... But Lets see when this new version matures a Little bit. When team tries out what work and what does not. The user feedback is important. They can not go back to old because it was not planned for phones, but They can change the new so that it will be better. Give feedback what works and what does not work. Any good UI tries to avoid Many clicks because it makes the UI harder to use, so I personally wait improvements in that area. Somekind of zooming is must for smaller devices. I don't know how well the Ubity handles different UI options, but when smallest device is less than 4" and largest will be something like 105" 4K screen the task is not easy! -
Patch Notes for 1.1.3 is now live!
Hannibal_PJV replied to Aarik D's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Announcements & News
The promise for phone UI support has been From the beta, the promise to dice skins have been From beta. So these Are not something that nobody has asked for... They have been planned From the very Beginning of the game. There still Are a lot of features that have been planned a long time ago that Are not yet in the game, so there will a lot more things that you have not hoped for, it seems. But as I said They Are not some random afterthoughs, They Are preplanned features that will come to the game, Little by Little. The dev did fix Many old bugs, but as always new features causes new bugs. That is the problem with games that gain new features and content during the game life cycle. Expect to see most of these problems fixed in the next patch and Also Expect to see new bugs, with new feature that will be included in the next patch. Ofcourse nobody hopes to see any new bugs, but I can not see that we can avoid them. If you want to see mostly bugfree Pathfinder Adventures, wait for ad6, wait two patches after that and come back then. I personally am going to enjoy this game in the meantime. I am just not expecting it to be bugfree. In Many way this newer version is much better than previous version, but i Also Expect to see bugfixes to the new bugs that arrived lately. This is still one of the best mobile games around and some of those features that vere planned in the beta stage Era, Are really interesting and I am really waiting to see them come though eventually! Good things Are coming, just don't Expect to see them bugfree in the first patch -
Only player generated lists. The complete random is not so bad at all. It is good that there Are harder and easier combinations. In general legendary is harder than heroic. But as you said sometimes They Are not. But Also some heroic scenarios Are very, very easy to solve. I am not sure if all legendary options should be "And now you die!" Level difficulty even I like those From time to time. I personally hope even more varioations just because They give variation to the game play. Your idea is good, because it can sometimes be counter intuitive that Legendary can be easier than some heroic scenarios, but I personally don't see any problem in it, as long as legendary as a general is harder than heroic version. Also the scenario power tends to scale with difficulty level Also so it will Remedy this "problem" somewhat. I will try find some time to collect some difficulty wildcards to pathfinder wiki. I would not be surprices if someone already has put those there. http://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Portal:PAD Ps. Ok. I started the list in the wiki today. It is not complete, so be free to send me any new ones or any errors I made in the list in wiki, so I can update the list. Or be free to update the list on your own if you Are familiar with wiki page syntax.

Missing rewards?
Hannibal_PJV replied to Bubbles21112's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
Yes. Known bug. If you see that you Are gonna lose in quest mode at this moment before the patch, you have to forfeit to avoid level up without rewards. Devs Are allready working on fix. Confirmed in another treath. -
You can always delete the characters that you don't need anymore and start new. In original tabletop game you only could have 6 character slots. In the Beginning of the digital game we did have 10 character slots, now we have 24 and it is much more that original 6! Who knows, maybe we will have even more than that in the future. But 24 is plenty compared to original 6, so we have much more options even now. But who knows, maybe we will have 30 or even more slots when the ad 6 will be ready, I don't know, but considering where we started, you can see that the character slots has allready been increased a guite a lot. The digital version just offer so Many more options than tabletop version in some ways. I agree, more than 24 character is good wish for the future upgrade to the game, but I personally have no idea how Many more the game ui and system can handle before it gets a problem. Maybe there is no upper limit, but at least the character ui screen would need complete owerhaul, or it would be impossible to find right characters From it if there would be much more characters. In the meanwhile, i hope some other improvements before this. But in long run, if it is possible... Bring it on! But as RedPred said above, you can do all the possible combinations even with only 6 slots, so the ansver is. We can!

The best advise is in quest mode at this moment: A) don't lose B) if will lose for any reason, forfeit C) wait for the patch I personally followed the options A and B and my characters Are now level 40 because there is very few reasons to continue untill new content is available. But I did very fast forward level up From 35 to 40 even with that bug, but I did only have to forfeit ones durin those five levels. All others were pure Wins. But I normally play with heroic or legendary mode, now I was playing in normal mode. I have no trouple in losing, but I have problems with forfeiting, so I was running with very low losing propability because of that. But it can be done. But if there already is a lost power. I would personally start that character ower again, than wait for the patch for it. Because it is possible that patch will not fix already happened errors. Eventually They will be remediable, but we don't know when. In the meantime, enjoy what is already in there and avoid losing in quest mode. A and B my friends, A and B

Steam
Hannibal_PJV replied to gibby290's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I agree with you on Treasure chest... not sure they were necessary addition and they will cause a whole lot of problems in the future. You're right they do dilute value of Adventure Deck cards (it's deck, not path... Adventure Path is set of 6 Adventure Decks) but luckily we do have an option to turn them off in story mode, which is the first thing I did after acquiring my first treasure chest cards. Problem with treasure cards will became bigger once we get to a second Adventure Path (Skulls & Shackles) because a lot of the cards that were added here as part of treasure chest are integral part of that AP. Even bigger problem will became Damiel who is already overpowered as it is (how else would you call a character who can potentially deal d10+d8+4d6+5 points of damage from the first turn! Without anyone using a blessing or something similar on him!) and now, thanks to those treasure cards he will get all those Flasks that he recharges by default since they have Alchemical trait... If I have to ques, I would Expect that S and S will be separate game, so any treasure cards you have, don't go to that game. Treasure cards Are good for the quest mode, because it is so much longer, so They provide good diversity in that mode.
