Tangent: failed states in Pathfinder are more do to the poor way it delivers information. Your kingdom can fail because of who you sent to do a small task a chapter before with no indication of how important the task. Plot threat that never manifests > getting failed states from making decisions in a vacuum.

But they already established that you can't beat Eothas in the opening cut scene. Dude just walks by you and you nearly die. Sure, writers could've done some deus ex mechina to 'make you as powerful as a god', but that seems counter intuitive to what we already know about the gods and excludes the Watcher from being a possible protagonist in the next installment. Otherwise, the only way around this is to have a completely different primary conflict.

I haven't 'cause its considered 'in beta'. I plan on leaving it a few more months (probably towards the holidays) before partaking.

Been playing a lot of SWTOR as a smuggler. Its alright. Mostly just grinding and wasting time until Greedfall drops.

I honestly thing Aloth is the best written character in the series. Not my favorite, but the most nuanced.

We've already had enough 'gods (or their servants) are the bad guys'. We need POE 3's villain to be staunchly anti-religious because that's something that we haven't seen in this setting. Might be fun if the villain actually was the Watcher and we have to play a new character.

Never played Borderlands. I picked up the Handsome Collect for less than $6 yesterday.
