Good Old Games still good
The Mass Effect series dlc works just fine. It's Dragon Age 2 that's borked.

Good Old Games still good
You wasted your money. They show as downloaded but don't activate on Origin for some reason. I tried many different fixes I googled, talking to customer support (even they didn't know what was wrong), and sending BoiWare an email. Nothing fixed the problem.

The Athenaeum - Reading updates and Literary Review from the Obsidian Elite (this means you)
About 15 years ago I resolved to never pick up a series still in progress unless it's something episodic like the Dresden Files.

nfl 2019-2020
My Jets finish the season 7-9 which is better than I expected even if Sam Darnold was healthy the entire season. The schedule was hot butter soft thanks to playing in the AFC East (2 of their wins) and their out if division match up was with the NFC East (3 of their wins), but they did go 7-5 with Darnold as the starting qb. I would say I'm excited about next year but I've been down this road too many times with the Jets. If they draft yet another d-linemen in the first round I might have to challenge my liver to a duel with vodka.

TV and Streaming: The Thread
The Witcher: there are three story lines in season 1, they are Yeniffer's (which starts 70 years in the past--I'm using the book timelines 'cause I'm not sure how altered the tv timelines are), Geralt's (which starts 20-40 years in the past), and Ciri's which is current. It makes sense you consider the season is an adaptation of the short stories and we aren't to the book series proper yet. Geralt's story are the short stories, that's why they are very monster-of-the-day, because in each story the main plot hook was different and solved within that story. Ciri's exits to tie the season's beginning and ending together and as a segue into season two where the plot will be more traditionally structured. And Yen's story is . . . to add lore that didn't exist in the books (regarding magic)? Also, assuming the show is a faithful adaptation, Ciri is the ongoing main character and not Geralt.

TV and Streaming: The Thread
I love TWoT but I think the show is going to be terrible. GoT was low magic and had a huge budget. The Witcher was middling magic and had a smaller budget (and it showed). TWoT is super high magic and I don't see them getting the budget to do it justice. I think best case scenario is we get a very watered down TWoT.

Questions about monks
Monk fists, Might score not withstanding, have some of the highest dps in the game. In POE1 they were the best weapons in the game. The only downside to using fists is you can't enchant them.

Then you can use what I do, All-In-One Settlement Solution: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6304 It makes a craftable 'generator' (which only costs 1 steel, I think) that can be placed in a settlement to give 40 food, 40 water, 40 bed, 100 power, 100 defense, and increases settlement 'happiness'. Now, beds don't just pop into existence (though that would be cool), it just tells the game that the settlement has those resources so you almost never get alerts from the settlement about their 'needs'. You can craft as many as you want in a each settlement, assuming you have the resources to do so. The settlements still exist, you can still build them up manually if you want, but it lets you get around having to do so.

Horizon: Zero Dawn coming to PC, likely as a Epic Games Store Exclusive
Pretty sure this is proven false-ish. The PS4 version of HZD will be available to play on PC in January through POS, I mean, PS Now. https://www.pcgamer.com/you-can-play-horizon-zero-dawn-one-of-the-best-ps4-exclusives-on-pc-soon-via-ps-now/

Surely Jason Garrett is gone after this season. He's failed with some pretty talented teams and this year's been the icing on the cake.
