  1. Sick burn. (Seriously though, I feel like that should be French Classics.)
  2. Started Jade Empire for the first time in years. Immediately got sucked in despite the terrible combat. Makes me sad how far BioWare's fallen. A game with a fraction of the budget, less than a 10th of the people working on it, and 1/3rd as technically competence is still twenty times as fun as Anthem.
  3. 😑 A second person game is watching someone else play. I didn't even need to watch the video.
  4. Are you using turnstyle? If so, use guns. They're OP 'cause you get an equal number of attacks each turn with not reload time.
  5. Ya know what's real great, Keyrock? Those were the first touchdown passes the Jets have scored this year. 🤓
  6. I discovered this way too late in the game. (I also played on extreme.) Basically it was in the final push that I had to lean on traps to get through some stupid tough opponents.
  7. Last year it was Bethesda in a PR downward spiral. Looks like Blizzard will be trying to take the crown back this year.
  8. Plenty of people run homebrew conversions of existing IPs. That's not illegal and even if it was it wouldn't be worth anyone's time or money to have their legal department break up someone's home game. Where you will get into trouble is if you try to sell it or otherwise advertise it (for example if you were streaming it) as the 'official' pen and paper.
  9. Why does my house suddenly smell like I stepped in dog poop?
  10. Just finished Greedfall. Pretty good game, but like the Technomancer I don't know if I'll ever play it again because of all the backtracking (Mass Effect Andromeda broke my soul in terms of being able to weather through excessive backtracking).
  11. You gotta tip your hat first.
  12. All those hipsters look alike.
  13. ^What's the name of that song?
  14. The only consoles I've really been a fan of are Nintendo handhelds. 😕
  15. I had to reset a couple of passwords to get all my accounts to connect.
  16. Is this the something funny thread?
  17. GOG updated Galaxy 2.0. Now you can manually add games to the launcher.
  18. Dandelion's quest chain is even better (though a lot of people skipped it).
  19. What's it like playing in 47K?
  20. Probably, though I'd hope they'd save that for either a spin-off or a follow up series. I don't feel like the Watcher's story is done and I think that story belongs as a top down party based rpg. To the original question: there will be another Pillars game if only because it is one of the only two IPs that Obsidian owns. It would be nice if Microsoft offered to by Tyranny from Paradox, but to the best of my knowledge, that hasn't happened (and Microsoft might not be too eager as Tyranny didn't sell well).
  21. Greedfall: the quest structure is great. Similar to Elex, quests are never really as straight forward as they first seem. The combat now has a full pause button which can make 'timing' dodges trivial, but as a slow paced gamer, I love it. Magic is more varied than it has been in any Spiders game to date. The setting is interesting, though not the biggest attraction for me. The companion characters don't look as physically distinct from one another as they do in either Bound By Flame or the Technomancer, which kinda makes them not stand out as much. The hub levels are larger than in any other Spiders' game. The tutorial is pretty long, similar to White Orchard in the Witcher 3 though a smaller hub with fewer quests. That's about all I can say without going into spoilers. 😄
  22. Going back and forth between Fire Emblem Three Houses, Greedfall, Dragon's Dogma, and Star Wars the Old Republic. Right now mostly Greedfall. Like it pretty well. I do think its funny how much press the game, seemingly from people who aren't familiar with eurojank. I think a lot of people were disappointed when they found out what kind of game Greedfall is. Frustrating 'cause I tried to tell the people I knew what to expect but they thought they were buying an AAA title.
  23. I've played monk several times but I always turn the dial tags off, so I couldn't tell you how often there are unique dialog options. That said, monk really shines in gameplay.
