  1. Been greatly enjoying the first season of Deadwood. A bit too many bad words from too many people but other than that, this show kicks @$$.
  2. Just go on the main deck while the ship is anchored and drop a ball on the floor. If it rolls, your ship is frakked.
  3. I will buy both companies for 53 dollars(US of course) and this cupcake.
  4. Finished Xenosaga 2 last night. Certainly one of the best game endings I have ever played, including the end bosses(3) and the cutscenes in-between. I can't wait for the final chapter. I'll be starting Ghosthunter in a few minutes...
  5. If I was the video game industry Overlord, I would remake Carmageddon.
  6. Spiderman, X-Men and most comic book movies are science fiction. Because most comic books are science fiction. The stories deal with fictional science mishaps, robots, aliens, mutants, lasers, god-like entities that can control space and the universe, etc. All those things usually happen either in the future or an alternate universe/dimension and many other elements make these stories Sci-Fi in nature. The least Sci-Fi comic that I can recall(with my relatively limited knowledge of comic books) is Batman and even that, because of the gadgets and the scientific nature of the main character, is stretching it... Not all Sci-Fi happens in space. As for liking Serenity, It is a Firefly fan's movie. If one does not know and love those characters, one will not enjoy the movie as much as one that does.
  7. Are you enjoyed all the Fed-Ex quest? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually the only GS Campaign quest that really bothered me was the "Find ZAZA the robot" quest. And that other one where you need to go back and forth to recharge a frakkin' battery... I wish there was a "fast run" option in that game. Anyway Disc 2 was worth the wait of Disc 1...
  8. Now you are just being silly. That's the straight line ... the guy at the bottom would be crushed without some help. You'd need a pyramid. Say a triangular pyramid, and it would be 300,000,000 tall and (taking two people widthways to support one person vertically) about 600,000,000 for the bottom triangle, of the tetrahedron. 1/3 of these guys, multiplied by the upstanding guys gives the total volume of moon-punchers in our configuration. 200,000,000 multiplied by 300,000,000 is 60 million billion. Which is a lot more than the population of the Earth (unless you want to start digging up the recently dead, but they wouldn't be as tall and fall over). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's time to reproduce! (w00t)
  9. Still on Xenosaga 2. Disc 2 is MUCH more fun than Disc 1. Same amount of cutscenes but much more to do in between. The game also opened up a lot more as I can now go from planet to planet and complete subquests and level up my characters/mechs. Too bad it had to take 25 hours of cutscenes/game time...
  10. What about a 4-5 hours miniseries on tv?
  11. That is what the producers and the director are saying. However, after seeing it(twice) it becomes quite apparent that it is more like a re-imagining of the first movie series. I mean, how can it be a sequel if it has the same plot as the first movie(or way too similar)? It was boring, redundant Hollywood crap(IMO).
  12. Waiting. I suppose that for anyone who ever worked in a restaurant this is very funny. I thought so.
  13. All signs point to this, yes. But how are you sure? Did you read it somewhere or is this more fanboy/browncoat speculation?
  14. Yeah and the music really sucks also...
  15. I completely agree. I will always remember the movie To Live and Die in LA, with William Petersen as the main character who gets killed by the serial killer he's been hunting throughout the film. It was a slap in the face in a movie world where happy endings are always expected. In Serenity, I thought Wash's death was ok. I really liked him but he was, after all, nothing more than the comic relief and his story was pretty much done anyway. Book however was a much more mysterious character and his death would have benefitted from a postponement, for a comic book, sequel or revival of the series. We will never know what his background was, how did he know all these things about the alliance and military stuff? Unanswered questions.
  16. Isn't it a true story?
  17. Nah. Whedon said the storyline of the movie filled the second half of the first season AND the second season. It was his goal from the beginning to kill off... SPOILER ... Wash by the end of Season 2. If the series ever comes back, I want the story to continue from where it is, after Serenity. No need for semi-complicated, redundant pseudo-prequel/flashback crap.
  18. Da Vinci Code T'was ok. Very similar to the book, no real surprises. Pacing is stable and slow. Gandalf was excellent as usual. For fans of the book only imo.
  19. Xenosaga 2 I'm about 14 hours in, on disc 2 and I just started using those "new" mechs. So far most of the game has been walking from one cutscene to the next. Yes, that makes about 10-12 hours of cutscenes... When the disc change occurs, there is even another lengthy cutscene explaining what happened between the end of disc one and the start of disc two. Things that are cool enough to have provided great RPGing has been reduced to a footnote in a damn cutscene. I usually don't mind cutscenes at all and I enjoyed the first Xenosaga a great deal but this is ridiculous. At least the story is interesting enough to keep me going but overall, compared to the first one, X2 is very dissapointing. No gameplay = No game. I'll still get #3 when it comes out. I've also been playing a bit of Ghosthunter. Very cool game that I will fully jump into once X2 is over and done. Sidenote: I've been craving for JRPGs lately and I'm wondering if Wild Arms 4 is worth the 30$ price tag. Anybody played it? Any good?
  20. We have plenty of room here in Canada. The northern parts of the country are completely empty and full of diamonds and oil!
  21. And that excuse was sent to them via email by executives at General Motors? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That would be weird; Peterbilts arent made by General Motors. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, that was my ignorance at work. Executives from whoever builds Peterbilts(Peter?) then.
  22. And that excuse was sent to them via email by executives at General Motors? "
  23. Isn't Israel heavilly supported by the US and the West? Isn't it true that without that support Israel would have been wiped off the map by the surrounding Muslim countries a long time ago?
  24. Orlando Bloom said on Regis and Kelly that they had another 3 months of shooting and then post-production for PotC 3. Jack ain't dead. He's been... delayed. Keith Richards has signed on to play Jack's daddy in #3. I watched War of the Worlds this morning. With Tommy. It's a pretty good and intense movie. Only the ending really sucks. Why can't his son just be fertilizer like everyone else?
  25. Finished LotR Extended trilogy. Now into Matrix trilogy, Reloaded.
