  1. Pain Link is (or was?) great - it's damage doesn't show up in the log though. You have to watch the red numbers tha pop out of the foe's head. If you cast it on a tank that gets smacked hard by four foes every hit causes a retaliation that hits ALL foes around the tank - not just the guy who hit you. So four hits from four foes means each of them gets hit four times. The more foes attack the better. Best cast on a low RES but high CON monk with Shod-in-Faith boots.
  2. The dragon wiped the floor with my parties so many times when I did not use consumalbes.
  3. There's a sweet spot. Maybe it's around 18 INT. You attack every enemy that even touches your AoE with his toe - it doesn't matter if your AoE circle just scratches his hitbox or if it swallows it completely. So there's a good chance that 6 INT and 12 INT don't make a lot of difference in terms of carnage AoE in most fights. But if you really pump INT and also use an overseeing item your AoE even touches Ogres in the third row. With kith it's even better. That is a huge difference to 3 INT of course. Especially if you go for debuffing/disabling and not for damage. If you want to use HoF it's even more crucial.
  4. To be honest, the barb can also hit adjacent foes with 3 INT - but I seldomly managed to hit more than 3 foes. But if you build him as a sticky tank maybe that's enough.
  5. Have a look at the talent named "Bloody Slaughter". It synergizes well with the ability "Death's Usher" from Death Godlikes.
  6. Moon and Fire just add a bit more survivability, that's all.
  7. You could build a char for that who's really fast, has lots of DR against crush and superhigh reflex.
  8. In the 3.0 beta some uniques have new and interesting properties. For example the stag helm now grants immunity to the stuck affliction. The hermit's hat (from the looters) now gives +2 INT instead of +1 MIG and grants immunity to confuse. These changes I really like! Although I never thought that the uniques we have are boring.
  9. I think one of the best things a dps fighter can have (and others cannot) is Armored Grace. With durgan steel and all the +x% damage things you can be a fast hitting single target monsterturtle that doesn't go down easily - even if you don't use a shield. In some tough fights (like WM bounties) the high level fighters (and monks) are giving me the hardest times.
  10. I don't know how your impression is guys - but especially in the character build forum I think a good atmosphere prevails. I express myself harshly this time because (although this is just a game) this nerf really hit a (my) nerve - and I really want this to go away.
  11. Believe it or not - you did it again!
  12. They call them "The Returned". There's a whole TV show about these special OBS-bugs.
  13. You know sometimes I feel really angry inside that you post such things 1 sec after took a sip of coffee. Expat? Diplomat? Italian restaurant owner? I'm really curious (besides being angry that I have to clean my screen again).
  14. I'm too p!ssed to even think about a cipher build right now.
  15. If you use Rimecutter you could think about using the high damage invocation that sends out seven ice beams (seven nights she wept or something?). It's very good in melee because if you stand right in front of a foe (even better if it's a pack of them) you can manage it so that three ice beams hit him. They each do huge damage. Three of them can kill a single kith. And there's a big chance that you hit a lot of other enemies, too - because the AoE is huge (albeit somewhat stupid to target since it's pattern is that of a star). Rimecutter and this would work well with Secrets of Rime. I mean: Rimecutter and Secrets of Rime - combined in a chanter who sings rhymes...
  16. You can also use Infuse with Vital Essence at the end of a fight to get back 50 health. Works with potions and spell. Or used to work - don't know if it still does.
  17. It's good. Especially the rending. But for a ranger the three hunting bows above are better if they hit lvl 11.
  18. Well - you can beat some of those marksmen on lvl 8 or 9 to get some nice exceptional arquebuses and then leave.
  19. Erm - who exactly requested this?
  20. So tell me - why does my hungarian friend speak italian so fluently? All I could unterstand was "Pillars of Eternity", "The White March" and "feedback". You know - all those old italian words...
  21. Haha - I can really imagine the expression on your face when you wrote this.
  22. Yeah, as I said. I did a test with 6 barbs - two of them with disorienting weapons (White Spire, Vile Loner's Lace) and one with interfering (Lost Theyn's Reach) and it complements each other really well. You cause massive debuffs to defenses AND accuracy.
