  1. It's late/early so I'm just going to give some very quick pointers. A dual wield barbarian is a good candidate for attack speed stacking, trying to hit or get close to 0 recovery. Otherwise what the barbarian excels at is to use on hit/crit effects, as they hit at lot with carnage they get a lot of procs. The same goes for interrupts. In both cases a high perception score is going to be helpful. My current dual wielding barb started out something like this. Mig - 15 Con - 13 Dex - 15 Per - 10 Int - 15 Res - 10 I went with Frenzy, Savage Defiance, Weapon focus, Dual wield, and Vulnerable attack. There's more to it but that's what I feel is a reasonable start to a dual wielding barbarian. I went with Weapon focus Noble for Daggers and Rapiers, going for the fastest attacks possible. Another upside to that is that both are accurate weapons so I felt I could leave perception at 10, otherwise I would probably try to squeeze in some Perception.
  2. I'm going to say that the severing of a soulbind isn't too bad, you obviously suffer no ill effect from it. Do you have any lore or in game reason to believe I'm wrong?
  3. Nice. Could anyone do a bit of recoloring of the face that's mostly covered by a hood? I figure that if it's a bit paler it would pass for a pale elf.
  4. The boots that give +3 seem to more than double move speed. I suppose that if one really wanted to know, using the console to try out the +1 move speed talent, with and without a +1 move speed item, versus speed boots +3, with and without +1 move speed talent would let you try out enough different speed values to give you a pretty good idea. Would one of the frame counters care to give it a go?
  5. I agree. I find myself forgetting to use consumables and abilities added by items because they're hidden behind that bag icon.
  6. I'd be fine with that, though getting one after you've dealt with Maerwald would be more to my liking (that doesn't happen already does it?). I got a bit confused when you spoke of clearing out a significant part of the level to get to Maerwald and thought you might be going the other way which I find to be a lot more difficult than the fights in that room.
  7. About those specific enemies, they use Flagellant's Path a lot. Not much you can do about that. I believe I read Josh saying that target priorities and whether they'll break engagement to get to another target differs between different types of enemies.
  8. 30 might should be doable. Start with 21, get Gift from the Machine, the appropriate Effigy' Resentment, Galawain's Boon, and equip Abydon's Hammer and the maegfolc helm, that should put you at 32. Other stats would be more difficult, impossible even. If you start with 20 (I think only might and resolve can be pushed up to 21 at creation) get a +4 item and up to +3 (might and perception can get +3, other stats should only get a maximum +2) from talents. Then you'd need a weapon with a plus to the stat to push it further and I'm pretty sure there aren't weapons for every attribute. That puts it at 25 for most stats.
  9. I started with a play through that had been to Stalwart to pick up Zahua but hadn't done anything else in TWM I and she was standing around in Stalwart when I went there after having installed part II. So it would seem that she'll be there when you go there the first time if have part II installed.
  10. Somewhat wrong it seems. The NPCs aren't golden, they have a special frame in the interface that makes them easily distinguishable from other named characters so you can ignore them if you don't want to read any of their stories. I haven't read very many of them but I've not found any that are out of place or breaks the fourth wall.
  11. It will be like part 1, available somewhere in the middle of the game. I'd guess it becomes available directly after part 1 but that's speculation on my part.
  12. In general I'd recommend upgrading. There might be some new immunities on creatures but there have been improvements for your characters as well. Rangers in particular have improved and fighters have gotten some nice boosts as well (as far as I can remember at least, can't say that I've memorized all changelogs since 1.06). Plus you have to upgrade to play the expansion(s) and in my opinion that alone would seal the deal. Edit: I wouldn't hold out for an immunities toggle at least, I don't think there's been any indication that one will be implemented nor has there been a large amount of requests for one (this is the first one I've seen). Either way immunities will get an overhaul in the next patch.
  13. I don't know that I agree with that. I don't like to use portraits that don't match the style of the portraits already in the game. So for example BG/IWD portraits are out, as are, I'm afraid, most of what can be found in that thread. Personally I'd like to see more portraits of the unique races, dwarves, elves, and humans are a lot easier to find portraits for than orlans, aumaua, and godlikes. Wouldn't mind more options for the 3D models but to me portraits matter more, I seldomly zoom in very much so any such changes wouldn't be very visible to me.
  14. The Draining Whip talent used to generate 2 focus per hit so with a blunderbuss that was a potential 12 focus gained before the focus from damage.
  15. Fought any Paladins? Deprive the Unworthy sometimes permanently strip your character of all passives. It's easy enough to fix on a party member but for the PC a reload is the only way I know of to fix it.
