Soulblade mod request
This is also similar to monk's Resonant Touch.

Too poor to sail - about ship management and upgrades
You can do that, but the Fonferus can't be upgraded and will have slow travel/attack speed.

v4.0.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
maybe the trinket ability should be per encounter At least... Mega bosses should have "mega" loot.

v4.0.0 is now available on the Beta Branch
The mega bosses are a nice addition and I would like to see more of them, but their loot is really disappointing and not proportional with the difficulty of the encounter - the crappy trinket and the stone we keep getting is a joke.

[4.0 beta] Forbidden Fist
There's clearly a bug because no matter how much hostile effect duration reduction you stack you can't go under 10s.

Is there a mod to fix the experience gain Abomination
Kaylon replied to bigbazoopa's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)For me the issue isn't the xp gain, but the lack of high level content.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Eh? I guess the point of forbidden fist is to have a monk who can get wounds without the need to get hit (Vanilla, Helwalker, Nalpasca) or to hit (Shattered Pillar). You can build the toughest turtle and still do damage and generate wounds although you are untouchable while shrugging off afflictions and getting even more tanky because of that. You can do that already using Mortification of the Soul. Also if you have high defenses you won't get hit by afflictions either. The point of the forbidden fist is to apply Enfeebled which comes with a very high cost (slow wound regen and self damage)

New Megabosses!
Yes, anything/troubadour can solo him.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Yes, the health drain has the same requirements as sneak attack so a steel garrote/rogue with persistent distraction is a very good combo.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Only on paper... These spells aren't guaranteed hits, don't affect all enemies on the screen and the length of the buff is given by the shortest duration of the flanked affliction (high defenses or resolve will easily screw this). It might give more reliable results on a rogue/tactician who can engage/distract all enemies left. And the cipher/tactician doesn't need brilliant - you can just use mind lance to restore discipline.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
In that case, the subclass description should have clarified that only Imbued attacks work, instead of adding in all the other unnecessary descriptors about it working with fire/frost/electricity/acid/spell damage (and especially considering none of the Imbued spells even inflict electricity damage). That's where all the mass confusion and initial theorycrafting came from. No, it says just that attacks other than elemental/spells will get an accuracy penalty. The accuracy bonus is mentioned only for the imbued attacks.

Theorycrafting Thoughts On New Classes (Patch 4.0 Beta)
Essence Interrupter and Frostseeker work as intended - they don't get any accuracy penalty because they're considered elemental attacks. From the subclass description only the imbued attacks are supposed to get the accuracy bonus from the arcane skill..

New Megabosses!
The Colossus is very tricky because he heals for 100% from fire damage and his fireballs heal him. He also has very high defenses and it's very hard to damage him. The wizard isn't very hard if you destroy his obelisks first.

What does Forbidden Fist and how much wounds do you gain from expiring negative effects?

PotD Solo Run
You have to use confusion (scrolls, bow from the alpine dragon) and figurines for these fights.

Chanter Phrase cap
The trick is to pick the most expensive non offensive invocation in order to increase your starting phrases.

How much Armor is enough?
Yes, pet and summons are considered allies but you can replace the stalker with the unbroken and achieve the same armor rating. Also you can achieve higher resists vs each damage type using various items.

Crusader Duelist (Crit Seeker)
The idea is an AoE spell is affecting multiple targets and can do more damage than your 1h weapon, so +10acc will have certainly a bigger impact on a fight for an evoker. Also there are fire spells at almost every level for a wizard so he can benefit from it at least just as much as a paladin. For a paladin it might make sense to use the ring if you plan to take Sacred Immolation.

Crusader Duelist (Crit Seeker)
Increasing ACC is the main idea behind the build so I guess that is covered. FoD +10, Ring that adds +10 to fire attacks (works wth FoD), one handed style +12 ACC. Fighting one handed is indeed a good way to increase your crit chance but for what? Using 2 weapons or a 2 handed weapon gives more dps anyway... FoD and the ring on the other hand is just gimmicky because how many times are you using FoD over a fight and what difference it will make? The ring makes sense on an evoker who has lots of AoE fire spells to spam or maybe for someone using firebrand.

Crusader Duelist (Crit Seeker)
You should also keep in mind two other things: - hits are at best 50% of your total number of attacks - crits increase damage/duration by 25% and penetration by 50% (for another hypothetical 30% damage bonus) The stacking rules make things even worse and without a great proc on crit I wouldn't even bother about crits. Increasing your accuracy or debuffing enemies defenses are the best ways to increase your crit chance (and your dps).

Floating Hangman reactivity to other quests
Kill them all and let the gods sort... Well, the idea is to let Two Eyed Pim rule (and get the best ending) instead of the two extremists...

Megaboss 2: Giant Ooze Boogaloo
Don't know if it's intended or not but Disintegration destroys the mega boss directly. So an inquisitor is also able to solo him, however landing Disintegration and also finish the boss with it is the hardest part.

Building a summoner
Thrice was she wronged upgraded is the bread and butter of the skald - fast cast, decent damage in an AoE for a very low cost and at high level you can cast it 4-5 times in a row at the beginning of the fight which helps clearing trash very fast.

Best roleplay builds
Gender: Female Culture: Deadfire Archipelago Race: Fire Godlike Background: Aristocrat Class: Priest of Maghran/Ghostheart or Gender: Male Culture: Deadfire Archipelago Race: Island Aumaua Background: Mercenary Class: Gold Pact/Soulblade Those are among the combos with the most special interactions.

Floating Hangman reactivity to other quests
You can hang Furante, kill Aeldys and read her soul to learn the oath of the Darcozzi and then get the ship for yourself.
