  1. "Early June", but I'm sure they'd rather release it a week later than releasing something half-baked. There isn't to much reason to rush it from the viewpoint of the devs: They've had a bunch of income through release, they fixed the worst bugs in the hotfix, they have positive press reviews, there aren't many game-breaking bugs AFAIK -just the mediocre balance and an industry-standard lack of polish for a game thatt just released.
  2. First SetClassLevel Companion_Fessina(Clone) Wizard X true with X being your current level. Then RemoveAbility Companion_Fessina(Clone) Conjurer Note the game's misspelling of her name: The Console calls her "Fessina". Thank you!
  3. Thank you for this compilation! I really hope they get fixed - I thought that invisibility just doesn't work as advertised...
  4. You seemingly can't offer it to the prince nor the cartographer at the palace. The lady that gives you the quest to fetch something from the mage's home has nothing to say about the mosaic either...
  5. IIRC. You don't have to do it his way and go through the undercroft. You can go down into the old city through the elevator and just do it on your own, once you get the two shells. But the elevator only stays down there for 12 hours, so you have to hurry (no resting). But is there a true closure to the quest? As example, can I give the mosaic location to the Huana and tell Dereo that I'm not his pawn?
  6. I only got into contact with Dereo when the Prince asked me to find out what's going on down in Delver's Row. I always felt a bit bad doing stuff for Dereo, but you have to help him a bit to get down to the old city without too much violence. Now that I found the Mosaic he's after, I really don't wanna continue this path! I surely won't help the Pirates to find Ukaizo! Is there any way to continue the quest differently?
  7. How do I change Fassina to not have subclass? (She is a conjurer, which is pretty weak) Thank you for the great compilation, everyone!
  8. The new system certainly has it's merits, but I would expand upon it: - Food only gives it's bonus for 16 hours, followed by 8 hours without buff or penalty - After 24 hours without rest, penalties apply - every party member NEEDS to eat at least hardtack - The resting bonus from taverns can be combined with food This would make it much more realistic, interesting and meaningful. Plus the dev's love having money sinks! To further improve immersion, party members should NEED to eat food, while alcoholic beverages are optional. They provide both benefits and disadvantages however, making them more situational than food.
  9. Some basic info: https://pillarsofeternity2.wiki.fextralife.com/Cipher Main question: Are deception skills free to cast AND add 6 focus if they hit? Or do they cost their normal amount and you get a pityful amount of focus back when they hit? Do those 6 focus scale with level? Side question: How should I use the class? I really like the ciphers crowd control abilities, but I can't imagine any suitable way to approach combat. The wiki suggest combining it with rogue/assassin, but then I have the hard choice of opening the fight with EITHER backstab or something like "phantom foes". It appears to me that this subclass consists mostly of disadvantages...
  10. Does the personality of sailors have any gameplay effect? I mean wether they are drunkards, religious, loyal, greedy... Or is it just to make the choice look more flavorful without any tangible effect?
  11. Thank you for the response, but that's not what I meant. There seem to be checks for one person where two skills determine the outcome. As far as I can tell, two Versions exist: where 2 skill scores are added, and where either/or may yield success. (e.g. you need either 18 INT or 5 metaphysics to understand an uncommon telepatic message).
  12. I find it nice for items I want to reserve for a special character (the bomb throwing specialist as example, or skill check potions/gear for my main char)
  13. Sorry, I didn't consider this a real spoiler, but I'll mark it next time
  14. There is a small stall at the entrance of the palace district, I remember seeing mother of pearls there. Had anyone found black pearls??? I need one to uncurse a special sword...
  15. I find mind blade underwhelming. Doesn't seem to work on single targets any more like in youtube videos I saw from the beta. Against multiple targets, the spread-out damage rarely causes a kill, so you achieved nothing (considering that taking out enemy glass-cannons is your #1 priority) I really like "Whispers of Treason" in comparison. Not only do you neutralize one enemy, you also get an ally! Turns the tide of battle really quick. Best thing: You can use the force-attack command to kill them before they turn hostile again!
  16. If you just type a few characters ("pla" should suffice) and press "Tab" the console autocompletes it to the right phrase (Player_CHARNAME I think)
  17. No, sadly. I looked everywhere, couldn't find it.
  18. It's based on perception, no stealth required. Going 18 perception (20 with items) is really useful for every aspect of the game: combat, exploration, dialogues and scripted events. Mechanics is still extremely useful, as is athletics. Survival, streetwise, and insight follow closely. And one of the dialogue skills should always be decent on your watcher. Metaphysics doesn't come up as often, but if you played poe1, you should have some points in it for immersion IMO. A but of INT and RES also helps significantly out of combat.
  19. I've definitively also seen a "+" between the abilities, so maybe it's really different from case to case?
  20. I believe POE1's encounter design was criticized as ebing to monotone, so that's good. And it should actually hurt to tune your char so extremely towards the offensiv, otherwise the stats would be meaningless.
  21. When exploring, you often have skripted events that check for both survival and perception (on the same character). Are the two scores added together? Is there any difference if I send a PER 18 / Survival 0 or a PER 10 / survival 8 character? Would a PER 18 / survival 8 character fare better than any of the above? There are other "dual" checks as well, but these are the most prominent.
  22. It's additive now, prrof within screenshot below. Backstab/Sneak builds don't profit much from high might when attacking from stealth. And when you're not in stealth as mindstalker, you really shouldn't be in melee range... _________________________________ Perception should be maxed IMO, because nothing is as frustrating as missing with your alpha strike. Dexterity helps you to minimize the painful moments between alpha strike and whatever you wanna do next. Intelligence helps you to stretch effect durations, so you can land more sneak attacks. And debuff longer. And hit more enemies with debuffs. Not sure about resolve - as you level, your defenses rise anyway. But so does the accuracy of your foes. Can't tell yet if the few points of deflection from resolve matter later on... Constitution should be high enough to not be one- or two-shot. ______________________________________________ Currently, I almost maxed perception (18 - to reach the 20 points that are rumored to reveal everything with items) I left MIG and CON on 10 points as a compromise, and distributed the rest evenly between DEX, INT and RES. I'm thinking about lowering res, though. This build also happens to be a good party leader as a side effect, as PER, INT and RES give the most dialogue options. Pair with Survival for maximum loot. ______________________________________________ Whispers of treason is stilla mazing, BTW.
