  1. In PnP you missed a campaign Eldar set up. TOMBS was meh while you were gone. In C&C you missed Gromnir being adamant about the general decline of RPGs' lengths nowadays. The thread explodes with useless argument. Were you to check the thread in the morning, it would be at 10 pages, and in the afternoon, it would be at about 25 pages. I helped contribute to the first thread's end with not-so-subtly insterted spam, but Grom started another. So basically, you missed nothing.
  2. It would work for me if we did it on Thursday. Basically, that is my day off, so any time is good.
  3. I would've made it last time had I loaded the junk earlier. But now it is all loaded (it took 2 hrs.). If we do it at the same time, i can make it.
  4. I cheat as in O's. As in CHEETOS!!@!@!@!@ HAHAHAHAHAH!1111!!!! R00FLES!
  5. I just needed to take a moment and laugh at what this thread has become.
  6. That rule is simply an observation of the actions of notable* rulers in history. How do we know that the person wasn't corrupt before they received power? Post hoc reasoning Meta? I expected more from you... *(these corrupted rulers are notable because they received power and used it in a bad way, but those rulers that aren't notable are the ones who received power and didn't do much with it. I am wondering what would happen if we knew of all the rulers in history and compiled them into lists of: corrupted and uncorrupted. People in the middle would be judged by what their actions were for the most part, corrupted or uncorrupted.)
  7. True, but in the book, It is true that there will always be some breakaways, but the leaders in the book were able to almost completely unite their respective nations.
  8. Card's "Bean" series of books include a hegemon, Ender's brother Peter, that is successful. He creates a world-democracy, and when that is accomplished, he steps down, and no further hegemon are needed.
  9. Nah, Nihilis is dead. To have him come back would be unrealistic to me. He was a hole in the force, destroyed by another hole, the Exile. But whatever, K3 isn't even announced yet. I'll be an old geezer by the time it comes out... if it comes out. *insert more cynical comments*
  10. Ha, you realize that you sound as if you've never read the book, right? Bean didn't have a religion, and if he did, it would've probably been Catholicism, since Sister Carlotta was a mother to him when he was young, and although he didn't care about it then, he eventually appreciated what she did for him when he got older. On a side-note, although Orson is Mormon, I rarely saw him try to slide his religion into his books. All I saw was that Ender's mother was Mormon. However, in Speaker for the Dead, the book is heavy with Catholic characters. Just because Orson is Mormon, don't mean he automatically puts his religion in le books. He's an author, not an evangelist. Some can do both at the same time, but he aint seemin to be doin that, he's just a good author from what I can tell.
  11. Here ya go. These are from le competition done on the Bioboards a little bit ago. They must be good enough to beat out the numerous other mods... or for your sake i hope so.
  12. You don't read the manual?!? *whispers* can i have it?
  13. True. However, the context is that I have played K2 and liked it. I want more. Therefore, I will buy this different game that I hope will have the same quality or better. So what if I wanted an extremely amazing game, no, the BESTESTEST EVAR!!!!!!??????????!!!!!? Grom's advice would cause me to miss out on what I hope is a decent game. Hmm, actually, he is talking about length, not even talking about quality. In that case, he is writing off games for length, whereas were I to take his advice, i would apply it to quality, that is, i wouldn't settle for anything less than THE BESTESTEST GAMEUH EVUH!!111111!!!!!@@!!!!!!!
  14. O RLY? That's not what you said last night "
  15. Also, Grom, not buying their game will cause them to go out of business, which means they cannot try again. So if I wanted to help Obsidian make better games, not buying their games is an ineffective way to do so. I am not proposing something else, but I am criticizing your method of making companies give better games. Wait, weren't you the one who rallied all the Troika fans to not buy the company's games? Hades had better not find out about this...
  16. what? because of her... pediphile stalkers?
  17. Sadly, you don't have a say in that. People associated you, you can't unassociate yourself now that you are in so deep.
  18. Right, Oblivion is a free-roaming RPG, whereas we are talking about a CRPG, that is, NWN2 is a game in which the story is focused on more than free-roaming or any other prefix to the RPG part of the genre's title. In Oblivion, any given quest only lets you develop a relationship with a character for as long as that quest goes on, and as we know, the quests are numerous, but not lasting of the whole game (with exception of the main quest, where the relationships consist of the reporting and retrieving part of the quest, so one is not with the main quest characters much anyway). CRPG's like... Kotor 2 for example, let one stay with any character for the whole game, and the relationships seem to be able to build throughout the game. Almost every other action I did, one of my party would speak to me about it. That is great, immersive. Good job, Obsidian, now make it better Anyway, the axis of evil agreeance of Blank, Llyr, and Wolf in this matter continues.
  19. #1) If you break them, then accept your losses and stick them in a junky microwave that you reserved for this occasion. Turn on microwave and watch the fireworks. #2) If you lose them, then accept your losses and put yourself in a large microwave which you reserved for this occasion. Oh, and don't forget to turn on the microwave, or have your good buddy do it for you, since you'll be inside it. #3) Or, make a copy of your Cd before #1 or #2 can occur. If Blu-ray or whatever you want as a copy is unable to be copied, follow the advice after "then" of #2 above.
  20. YEAH! er, wait, i aint no dirty euro.
  21. First of all, it made me laugh too. Second, I agree about the time. Twill be different for every person. As Llyr's sarcasm pointed out, Oblivion has 80+ hrs. of content, but one can beat the main quest and feel "done" within 15. And i would be extremely dissappointed if rpgs got shorter than 20 hrs., but it is true that as realism becomes greater, it is harder to make more, since eventually people will demand that developers have to allocate for every aspect of reality that they can replicate.
  22. YAY! And one cannot expect any game to be the best ever while it is being developed. That is something discovered after playing for a year and still liking it as much as when you first got it. I am not expecting NWN2 to be the best ever, but I do expect it to be AT LEAST decent, based on all of Obsidians other games (i mean, 1 other game, hahaha). So if i get a game that is better than decent, and i enjoy it, that is more than enough for me. Good luck Obsidian Oh, but heeding Grom's advice... U HAD BETT@R MAKE THE BEST GAME EVA! OR I WILL NEVER BUY ONE OF YO GAMES UH-GEN!11! IT HAS TO BE REAL GOOD, LIKE THE COOLZEST!
