  1. No, I've never heard "divine divinity" before, and I must say, tis worse than Wii.
  2. "It may also be worth noting that 'ii' means 'good' in Japanese." So it is a pun in both languages?
  3. It isn't that bad, I am sure Wii will all get used to it.
  4. You have my vote too. Although, I live in Washington.
  5. The Revolution is compelling because of its virtual reality aspect. When I am 75, I will spend all my time in VR rooms playing RPGs with you guys... yes, i am pathetic, but total virtual reality will be great, I am sure.
  6. Baley's sex-obsessed character had better leave my halfling alone... Horace once neutered five dogs in a single swipe... Well, he didn't do that, but he wouldn't hesitate to neuter baley's character if he tried anything.
  7. It is interesting, but there are a lot of logistics to be worked out. That site was pitiful in comparison to the mammoth which this undertaking is. If it was all worked out though... it sounds cool at least.
  8. Hmm, no. I guess I can summarize it for you (I probably wouldn't want to read all that junk either), though, I suspect you are simply being facetious. However, I needed a good summary. Numbers should stay because: 1. numbers are realistic, in that, virtually everything in real-life can be measured. 2. They give more control over character creation and weapon/armour statistics. 3. That control helps develop the character's personality in a way, since there is oftentimes a story behind which skills were refined more or less and why. 4. Yes, I am a traditionalist. 5. They can leave sight during the game when rolling for hits and stuff, but it would be nice, for reference and incredulity's sakes, to have an extra menu to transcript those things after they happen.
  9. But more on-topic, the idea of "departure from the numbers" disturbs me somewhat. Recently, in making a character for Eldar's campaign, manipulating the numbers, which are important to represent skills and many other things, was really enjoyable. I think taking out that process, of customizing skills to a minute level, is detrimental to the realism and fun aspects. Of course, sitting around thinking about numbers isn't good for realism, but if the numbers continue in the backround, as most rpgs do these days, that is fine with me. Also, I tend to be a traditionalist when it is still practical. This is no exception. Edit: Heck, in real life you can convert anything into numbers. Like, if one of you dressed up as an orc, and i took a steel mallet and smacked you in the chest while you were wearing plastic chainmail, there are a certain number of newtons being converted, measurable. There would be a certain amount of tear on the plastic, measurable. Mostly, I want to keep the numbers in for customization and statistical purposes (when it comes to creating characters, buying weapons, and/or whatever), but the rolls in-game can leave, since they can go in the backround. Yet, it'd still be great to see the numbers in action on a separate menu screen, like in K2.
  10. pay for mods... meh. The xbox live stuff would be good with that kind of thing (if mods were made for the 360), and it'd be able to download extra features or mods or whatever onto the hard drive. Either that, or one could download it via 56k online like with the backwards compatibility stuff. The bad part is that nobody would port mods to the 360, leastways create them specifically for it.
  11. No. I do have interest, however, I would be satisfied with only part of the action. All of the action would require some computer upgrades for me, so if it was ported to the 360 it would be more convenient. I guess I am the only one who thinks this though... ?
  12. LoneWolf, that is how I feel for NWN2, except I replace "PC" with "Xbox360".
  13. So, not to name names *cough* ShadowPaladin V1.0 *cough*, but I know some of you here have the Xbox 360 and are disappointed that some seemingly popular Xbox games are just not backward compatible. Well, I have links that will solve all of your problems. I used this one: Xbox.com download But I suppose this works too: Microsoft Download site Simply download and burn onto a CD, then insert the CD into your 360 and it starts its own interface. I just did it. Twas simple. The hard part was my 56k download time, but even that worked out just fine. Anyway, I hope this helps.
  14. I think it depends on which emulator was downloaded onto the hard drive at the time your 360 was shipped. So the first 360's maybe only had one or two xbox games, and after a while the list adds up and more and more game emulators come with the 360 from factory. I am pretty sure you can download the info though For example, I remember people talking about the Halo 1 and 2 emulators needing to be downloaded if your system didn't have them yet.... Anyway, I was wondering if my system came with it or not. I know ShadowPaladin got his a little earlier than I did mine, but
  15. Not really otherwise every game with a protagonist would have a chosen one by default. Ha, that was my point. I agree with you... I sure hope NWN2 will be TEH BESTEST!
  16. But doesn't being alive when others are not define you as chosen? JE sounds good, if we judged games as good if they don't include the "chosen" factor.
  17. Well, think of it as a metagamer for a second. Playing as the chosen one is better because it is more exciting than not playing as the chosen one... I think? How about becoming the chosen one after you do some junk and get good at junk? I thought i read some review about the early NWN2 and how it was supposed to start you out as unimportant? Did i read about a different game? or did they change that? BTW, I would choose her too
  18. Speaking of JE, does anybody know if it works on the 360? I wanted to pick it up used if so.
  19. YEAH!? WELL I BET YOUR SPELLING TEACHER WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED* IN YOU!
  20. Your reference to a general truth disturbed him so much that he lashed out by saying it was sexist.
  21. C'mon Gabs, 56k isn't that bad. I mean, it only took 30 seconds for it to load the text for me, and by the time i got down to the pictures they were all loaded.
