  1. This has been a problem since the game was released, and it was never fixed.
  2. This narcissistic fascination with the third-person perspective that allows one to ogle oneself has always baffled me.
  3. Other than the jarring transitions between gameplay and dialogue, some "Euro-jank" animations, and (what seems to be) the complete absence of ambient occlusion, the game seems great.
  4. To any Obsidian devs - how does the Woedica challenge affect the resource management of ciphers and chanters?
  5. Doesn't 'Woedica's Challenge' make Ciphers and Chanters overpowered (especially since Priests, Druids and Wizards get fewer spells per rest in Deadfire relative to the original PoE)?
  6. The players can also avoid hitting the cap by not playing the game at all.
  7. Even without touching any of the DLCs, it's easy to hit the cap long before completing the main story. I see no reason why they wouldn't increase the cap to 25 or 30 (there's no need for new spell/ability tiers; just let us gain HP, defense, accuracy, skill points etc.).
  8. If you don't use XP reduction mods and complete all of the bounties, you'll hit the cap at about 65-70% of the game.
  9. No offence, but idiots like you are the reason why companies that get bought often fail. No wonder studios get closed when they can't make any profit. When their loyal fans go and cry in the corner and stop buying the products, We don't owe anything to those companies once they're acquired by soulless titans like Microsoft, EA, or ActiBlizz. Should we keep buying their products regardless of their type, genre and quality solely because of 'loyalty'? Why would I buy some GaaS MMO-lite shooter from Obsidian if I despise those games? Why would I remain a loyal customer if Obsidian allows their new overlords to arbitrarily force exclusivity in terms of operating systems and/or digital platforms? If you're a r/hailcorporate kind of guy, don't call other people 'idiots' just because they don't fall for the same crap as you.
  10. Obsidian can bid my money adieu if they let Microsoft tie their games to the Microsoft Store.
  11. I reported that bug nearly five months ago - https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/100702-bug-permanent-exalted-focus-buff/ Don't tell me it still hasn't been fixed properly?
  12. The bug that made the clones/phantoms/illusions spawn without weapons, meaning that they'd attack with their fists for very low amounts of crush damage. This has been a problem since the game launched.
  13. Did this patch finally fix spells and abilities that summon clones (e.g. Essential Phantom)?
  14. It appears that Obsidian is very keen on the "one step forward, two steps back" approach to patching their games.
  15. Did they fix the 'summon clone' abilities or do the clones still use their fists to deal minuscule amounts of crush damage?
  16. This affects all 'summon clones' abilities (you basically end up with an unarmed copy that punches people/critters for a pitiful amount of crush damage).
  17. Did they actually fix that? Does the damage one deals to the enemy ship during the ship combat phase transfer over to the boarding phase (injuries to their crew members etc.)?
  18. Questions regarding length when it comes to games like Deadfire (or DLCs for such games) are somewhat pointless because the answer always depends on the player. For example, I know people who completed the base game in about 30 hours, while it took me 111 hours to fully experience everything that Deadfire had to offer.
  19. "Vatnir's role won't just end with the DLC, however - you can bring him on your adventures throughout the Deadfire and he will chime in where he can." I thought that the sidekicks never reacted to the world or interacted with the other NPCs after they're recruited.
  20. The savior of jRPG ports has graced us with his presence! Dude, you made FF XV, Berseria and Zestiria run almost flawlessly. Gonna give this a try.
  21. That's an arbalest. Did you try scrolling down?
  22. Two-handed weapons have always required twice as much gold and crafting materials. Rods and scepters count as two-handed weapons.
  23. You'll end up using them when you're overwhelmed in combat as a limited (but highly powerful) resource instead of mindlessly spamming them with each character to create a menagerie of horrors and death.
