  1. I've got a few of those going as well - although they're going alot better than the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ones. Sounds fun. Modding for Warcraft 3 is so much easier and quicker.
  2. Didn't get it for Christmas, so once I'm back in school I'll just pop in the local game shop (which is actually a small business) and buy it.
  3. I thought they were normal mapped. EDIT: Breaking news: They will be bling-mapped.
  4. So is there some sort of fancy PDF on the internet that shows off Onyx's main features, like most next-gen engines have? Speaking of which, what are the features of the engine anyway? Seems like the only reason it was made is so you wouldn't have to pay licenses or whatever for other engines like UE3.
  5. And we don't even have to pay for the game either!
  6. Are you implying Rambo is silly? And John McLane? And Marcus Fenix? On a serious note, I'm worried about the weapon diversity in this game. Yes there are SMGs, Shotguns, Snipers and Pistols. But what about machine guns, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, etc...? Having lots of different type of weapons is always fun.
  7. And KotOR's story about an evil Sith Lord wanting to rule the galaxy by using an ancient weapon of unlimited power from an extinct civilisation is amazing writing.
  8. At the very least there is this: That is unbelievably awesome. Don't know how I managed to forget that picture.
  9. I like how the're just adding Warcraft 3 abilities to WoW. Or not. Its kinda cheap from Blizzard.
  10. Kotaku tells me the games EA put on Steam are SecuROM-free.
  11. Anyone seen ''Get Smart''?
  12. So we've got... pistol, shotgun, SMGs and sniper? What about heavy machine guns?
  13. Installing a game on the Hard Drive (360, of course) usually gets rid of UT3's horrid texture popping. Nevertheless, this is something that you REALLY want to fix.
  14. Lots of fun, and the story isn't too bad. It sounds pretty hilarious from the trailers, but I was pretty disapointed with that part of the game. A shame it didn't get all that much praise.
  15. Its an awesome game, and completely nuts that they havent released it for PC yet. If they had, it might have become more than the infignificant dot in FPS history that it is now. Being a Battlefield game, there's no reason it shouldn't have come out for PC. But its not what I'd call an awesome game. There isn't nearly enough humour in the game (they could have done so much more with Haggard and Surdar and the like), and the game has a terrible respawning system instead of actual deaths and reloading in the singleplayer campaign. And the graphics lack color, making it a pain to watch for more than a few hours. What it needs is some more destructability, so when the house is on its last legs (literally wooden pegs), it can crumble and kill anyone inside. There is at least one unbreakable wall in every house now. Short, sweet and enjoyable. Filled with more potential but not pushed enough and feels more like a good tech demo. I look forward to the sequel.
  16. Played through Bad Company. Surdar, the megalomaniac dictator, is hilarious. Yay for gold-plated russian helicopters with disco balls inside. Also, the sniping in this game is pretty cool, and the environements are fun to destroy.
  17. Did you uh... survive that?
  18. Just go with steampunk. Steampunk never, ever fails.
  19. Dead Space has taught me that headless zombies only fight harder.
  20. I'd just like to take this moment to remind everyone that Chrome is awesome and you should use it.
  21. Dont start the hype machine any time soon, then.
  22. Yeah, I think I'll stay as far away from that as possible and enjoy Zero Punctuation. Seriously, who the hell are those 2 weird guys? Yug and Matt from AustralianGamer.com. Yahtzee occasionally does podcasts with them, and they're pretty interesting to listen to. I'd prefer if we didn't have to see their faces though the show is pretty decent.
  23. Dead Space's ending is entirely worth playing through. Some of the best endgame yet.
  24. Woah, that sounds pretty complex. And cool. Suddenly I don't even want to bother using guns.
