  1. Animation was pretty bad, but it looks like a decent oldschool RPG.
  2. How to be cool on the internet: -Discard Halo as a mediocre "consoletard" shooter. -Only love really old and complex 2d RPGs -Be a cynic about any new game coming out -Whine about DRM 24/7 -Hate EA with a passion -Like Half-life 2
  3. Possibly the only good DRM, aside from no DRM.

  5. I've jumped a lot in Dead Space, and only a little in FEAR. Nothing to scare the crap out of people in the room though.
  6. I'm switching to Ubuntu now, so I guess this good news.
  7. If it makes the game better, fine. But I am really, really getting hungry for an RPG.
  8. I bet 50 bucks the texture popping will be present. As much as in Mass Effect. I hope not though, recent UE3 titles don't have that much texture popping (see Dead Space, Mirror's Edge and even Gears 2), but that doesn't mean this game won't.
  9. If you don't want to use an activation when playing it there are ways around that... What's the point? He could crack it after he is out of activations anyway. But why wouldn't you simply ask EA for more activation codes?
  10. Well... I would say it's as good -if not better than- KotoR I. Of course I'm not done with it yet... The game gets considerably better during the ending, so you're in for a treat.
  11. Guys, its going to play so much better on the PC, anyway. Don't worry.
  12. FEAR 2 looks like a well made shooter. Though it looks like it lacks the feel of the original: a certain je-ne-sais-quoi from the seemingly cheap environments and ordinary office buildings with completely ****ed up paranormal events going on. I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like it.
  13. We might need PC/console hybrids. And by that I mean a fixed platform of hardware to run any game released for it, but with all the other uses of a PC. It would make buying a computer simpler, and this would in turn bring in more sales. Or not. I can't say.
  14. You overestimate Bioware.
  15. I really think the whole steampunk concept is overrated and except for a small vocal spliter group of the gaming community would not sell well enough for a publisher today to invest in. All they would do is look at sales of arcanium (last AAA steampunk game IIRC) and be turned off from investing millions in such a project. Bioshock says otherwise. All I'm saying is a lot can be done with a steampunk setting. Its severely underused so there's a lot of originality left in it. It also tends to have a lot of style.
  16. IGN Interview according to Eegra
  17. Ruins just aren't as scary as the original offices and generic buildings. Hell, I personally think there's too much color.
  18. FEAR 2 Demo: Good, but the fun in FEAR wasn't ruins with some violent surprises from Alma. What made it "scary" was the ordinary offices and buildings with some seriously weird paranormal stuff going on. This one looks a lot less subtle but plays and looks better. I dislike the whole ruins thing though. Resident Evil 5: First Resident evil game I try, and I have to say Dead Space is just plain better. Sheva's AI is blatantly stupid and got me killed quite a few times. Enemy AI is just as stupid, and what kind of game has people recovering from a headshot to the face like I only punched him? All the intensity of having a zombie run up to you with an axe is lost when he stops in front of you so you can easily line up a headshot. The controls felt awful, and while I understand the shoot or walk mechanic, the fact Chris cannot do anything more than one action, however simple it is, at the same time is just plain annoying. And don't hold out for the story either, Capcom's writers are 8 years old.
  19. In any case its not like the graphics need to get any better.
  20. I don't think I could ever play a Bethesda game. They just look so awful and cheap. It doesn't look like they actually got the budget they did.
  21. Have I mentioned Steampunk yet?
  22. The animation can't be as bad as Oblivion. Or are we speaking of another game.
  23. Is anyone else watching "Unskippable"? The show's a bit hit and miss depending on the game, but the one about Dirge of Cerberus was hilarious.
  24. But the Hardware wouldn't always be the same, or completely compatible. Which means the consoles just become PCs with less uses. Hell, the one nice thing about consoles is they don't change their hardware around so devs don't have a hard time with it.
  25. As long as there are still different companies making it, I don't mind. Which means we either stay with the same systems or move on to something like DVD players.
