I'd prefer a sprint button, really. But don't limit it like Mass Effect, and make it always work. ME only used sprint in combat (for about 3 seconds until you recharge for 30 seconds), and when you werent in combat, all the game did is change the camera angle and view angle, making you walk at the same speed.

''Full NEW Next-Gen technology! It's FULL 3D! You can pull the camera back!'' Is this guy stuck in the 1990s or something? -
Dead Space and Bioshock. There. That should be enough.

Basically, deluxe-quick-time events? Sounds cool, actually. -
CoD 4 single player. Damn, this game is way too short. So much goodness.

So that they can quit two days later and get the "Obsidian VIP" user title? That's a really damn good reason, actually.

I haven't cringed from any of Fallout 3's dialogue, so that's pretty impressive. -

Well he hasn't gotten his hands on Deus Ex yet. Look on the bright side. -
I'm looking forward to the next Prince of Persia. I've been playing shooters constantly in the last few months and I need something else.

Generic loot. Getting "Avenger 1" or "Storm VII" in Mass Effect was incredibly dull. You would never get a feel that you have an very unique weapon, because all you get is the series name and number. Make them have other specific effects, or just more interesting names. Make certain loot stand out, and of God's sake, RPGs need actual inventory systems. make them simple (RE4, Dead Space) if need be, but at least have one so I can look at all the thing I'm carrying more efficiently. Having equipment only improve the same three different stats (Damage/Shot before overheat/Accuracy) is really boring as well.

ahmahgawdthisissoawesomeicantwaittoseethevidIloveyouObsthisgamewillbesoawesome ... Okay, from looking at the game, here's what I see: Lip synching wasn't exactly top quality, and definitly felt like the weakest part of the trailer, but having the eyebrows move on the Weapons Dealer makes everything better (and it seems it got some additonal polish). Michael never really close his mouth, just kinda opened it or closed it. Feel free to have Michael lift an eyebrow when intrigued. Sometimes facial expressions can say more than lots of dialogue, making it more human as well. Faces were well done, with the exception of Michael, who IMO doesn't have a sort of... texture to his skin. Maybe its just because he's clean shaven, but ME had this normal map on nearly every face that made skin feel very real, and perhaps a bit too grainy. Voice acting felt like Mass Effect, in the sense it's not very expressive from what we see here. The old guy in the suit sounded like the Gman a lot, which is pretty cool actually. Graphics look great on the environments and characters, also for combat animation and martial arts (those look really awesome, but let's not get into how practical they actually are). One thing I dislike is the particle/effects textures. I'm a sucker for amazing explosions ala Call of Duty 4 or Lost Planet, with lots of animated textures, but these are looking okayish. Gunfire is blurry and explosions are alright. I love the environments though, apart from a slight weird pixelated reflection on the table in the office. I see you're going with a sort of clean feel to the levels, which is alright, but "clean" doesn't mean "solid block of a single color". Even clean metal needs to have some sort of "texture" feel to it, like it's slightly rugged. If anything, you can always add more "dirtyness" to certain environments. Combat looked a bit clunky, from the small amount of footage we got. Mike was shooting while crouching right in front of an enemy, which felt weird, just like when he was shooting from some sort of cover while holding his gun in pimp mode. And please do not have texture popping. Don't even bother shipping a game that lets you see textures load. Really, the best way to make combat satisfying is giving weapons an extra "oomph" factor when shooting, some sort of extra "this gun is very destructive" power. Seeing damage done to the target is important, and having characters receiving shots to the body without flinching at all is strange. Last I checked the UE3 engine had destructible environments, and this is something you really want to use as an advantage. Animated particles/textures are your friends here. Overall, it looks really like a good, if not great, RPG. All I can hope for is you take the time necessary to iron bugs and glitches, as they make even the best games feel broken. Basically, I don't want another KotOR 2, and I doubt I'll be disapointed. Good work, Obs. -
Oh oh, use the space ship naming thingymagig! Those names were hilarious.

LIES It is actually Volourn.

Purely rag-doll physic deaths. Don't do it. Characters look like they're in a sexual position when dying. Their arms and legs flail around like sticks. It looks aweful.

My eight-year old brother figured out a puzzle in portal before I did, and I was completely lost. Pretty cool.

Is it more interesting than Half-life 2? The problem I had with HL2 (the big problem, I've had way too many problems with it) is that Valve uses lots of scripted events. But those scripted events are incredibly dull and ordinary. I'll explain. Scripted event in Call of Duty 4 (heavily linear scripted game): During a particularly rushing escape scene, a copter turns the corner of a building. You shoot it in the engine part (or something like that) and it crashes. The crash is devastating, throwing dirt everywhere and slowly drifting towards you and your captain, while screeching against the two walls to the sides that basically make it so you can't escape. The copter is still exploding and literally looks like it's going to tear you in half. It stop at the right moment but hurts your captain. F***ing awesome. And that wasn't even one of the best moments it had to offer. Scripted Event in Half-life 2: You are walking on a street. In front of you there are cars blocking the way, and there is a large hole into an underground parking lot right in front of them. You walk towards the hole, obviously thinking to go in, and one of the cars goes flying, after being hit by a strider. You are forced to retreat into the very large hole. ... okay. I was going in that hole anyway. Not much of a problem, and the car didn't really look like it could hit me. I guess the strider posed some sort of threat, but I could take a thousand bullets before dying. And there's no real sense of rush anyway. That's it. That's the most awesome scripted event of HL2. Also: -No ambience. -No mood. -Long cutscenes that say little. -Only the Gravity Gun is actually innovative (and it is really awesome, I'll admit that). -The only interesting characters are Dog and... that's it. The rest are really really forgettable. -No plot hook. Why am I saving humanity? -Incredibly dull environments (apart from the Citadel, which was okay, I guess). -Stupid squad gameplay (get the **** out of my way). -Combat gets about as staetegic as "headshot or no headshot" (excluding the super gravity gun parts). -Dull art direction... or was there even one? -Terribly clich

Does a almost-white-hot graphics card affect the rest of the computer? Or performance? Or even the lifetime of the hardware?

So would kicking an old lady in front of the bus lead to problems with the retirement home faction(s)? I wouldn't want to lose backup from old ladies.
