KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hmm...good question. But I sure hope it doesn't take 5-6 years. Then again, I'm also still waiting for Starcraft: Ghost to come out and for Starcraft II to be announced. So it's not like I'm not used to waiting long. Edit: But yeah, as GOA said, the not knowing part sucks. So I think it'd be better for them to announce it. Just as long as they don't keep moving back the release dates like some companies. *cough*Blizzard*cough* -
Do you think Kotor Was A waste?
Dark Moth replied to DARTHPON's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think it was a waste of time, but time has been better spent. K1 was much more worth it. (I mean, it actually had a complete story) -
Same with Kreia. She couldn't get revenge herself so she used the exile to do it. However, Kreia pissed me off and I hated her, Sidious I think could have been done better, and Vader (not Anakin) was more well done (and had cool armor) so I voted for him. My Revan was LS, otherwise I might have voted for him. Might have.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Dark Moth replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If LA was smart, they'd make a K3 just for the $$$. I'm not keeping my expectations high, though. So far, they've been silent about it. And the way things look now, it's going to take them as long to announce K3 as it took to make K2. -
Most annoying and repetitive word
Dark Moth replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Agreed. Especially since they never fully explained what the echo was or why it mattered. And the name Revan (K2). I think the game focused way too much on him (even though I loved the character). -
Do you think Kotor Was A waste?

I thought it was okay. Some nice new stuff, but a mediocre storyline, too many loading screens, plot holes, and the occasional glitches brought it down a few notches. -
Will Kotor 3 "Better"? or It will be less then 2
Dark Moth replied to DARTHPON's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Hey!! Who deleted Eddo's thread? That was spam heaven. And you may want to post this in the K3 suggestion thread. -
Voted Vader.

Dark Moth replied to Hircine's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I would not be at all surprised if the planets you explore happen to be the planets that were locked by the Navcomputer in K2. If you remember the scene, HK-47 notes that the navcomputer is voice-locked and supposes that it would be to hide where one has been (before T3 zaps him). My prediction is that in K3 they would be including the planets Revan visited on his way to find the "True Sith". I'm thinking that some of the game might be spent searching for Revan and/or the True Sith, and the end of the game culminating in some huge battle between the Republic forces/Jedi and the True Sith empire. I'm also thinking that to include enough Jedi, they could have all the Jedi "come out of hiding" now that Nihilus is dead and fight the True Sith. After all, he was the main reason the Jedi were being wiped out. I also suspect the Mandalorians would help fight the True Sith as well, because that would give purpose to Canderous/Mandalore's attempt to rebuild the clans and explain Kreia's statement that "Revan would need soldiers in the war that comes" -
Maybe Morgan Freeman as Jolee Bindo? :D I could see him playing that part.
-
(sigh) The True Sith are not in K2. They weren't meant to be. You get vague references to them in conversation, mostly in the end. That's it. They were meant to be the central focus in K3 (if it ever comes out). The only reason the True Sith were mentioned was so that they would have something to focus K3 on and allow for a continuation of the current story. And the True Sith are beyond the outer rim in the "unkown regions", but you get no specific location. I guess you have to find them in K3.

True, I just used that term to describe what you saw, although I wouldn't say it's Revan's spirit. This is just like "Where's Waldo".
-
Nope. No mods can help you find him/her. The only thing of him is the hologram in the cave, that's it. Period. And believe me, I was disppointed when I found that out. Have you completed the game? If so, then

I talked to a colorblind person and to him green looked like a dark gray, and red looked yellowish. But it varies from person to person depending on their type of colorblindness. That's always seemed depressing to me because every time they step outside they'll see gray grass and trees instead of green.
-
The most you get of him are references to him/her in conversation and a hologram of him/her in a cave on Korriban. Beyond that, nothing else. And no mods can bring him back, either. Sorry, man.

Things you wish a KOTOR2 character would say......

Nihilus: assiegh mmmgph eieal iichfglrtra [translation] I can't talk with this damn mask on. -
The end of the year?! That's harsh.

Totally awesome, beef and potatoe burritoes for teh win! Probably quite Americanised by now. I had a Mexican flatmate who lived on pizza and popcorn. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, there was lots of American like food while we were there, but we didn't eat any of it, unless you count the sammiches we packed for the worksite ourselves. The Mexican pastor's family cooked dinner for us all but two nights, those two nights, we had tacos downtown. American Mexican food is a lot different from Mexican Mexican food too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks, SOE. That's exactly my stance. I disagree with the concept of homosexuality, but that's the same way I might disagree with someone's political views. I disagree with them, but I'm not going to prevent them from living their lives, discriminate against them, or hate them. If a woman chooses to love and marry another woman, that's her right and I can't and won't do anything to stop her, regardless of my opinion. And there's nothing wrong with showing a little pride in religion, and that doesn't make me fundamentalist or conservative. (I'm a moderate) Are you happy now, Lucius? And please, enough with the religous debate, people! We've had enough of that already! And back to Mexican food, I heard too that it's very different from Taco Bell. I heard from a friend that they like to put a lot of spices in their food and so it tends to be pretty hot, and that they like to use beans a lot. And what was the water like, too? My friend who visited Mexico told me that even the Mexicans don't like to drink it. They get their drinking water from travelling water trucks if they can. Was it like that for you?

The most exciting/horrible moment in K2
Dark Moth replied to <SP's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, not to be monotonous, but I hated the end part as well. Malachor was just so boring, and with the cut content the Mira/Hanharr scene was utterly pointless. Peragus was also horrible, IMO. It dragged on forever, and it was boring as hell. And the most exciting part for me was the Ravager, fighting the last battles on Onderon and Dxun (where you have to split your party), and fighting the mercenaries on Dantooine. There really weren't any other exciting parts for me; the rest of K2 seemed rather boring compared to K1. -

The problem with abandoning the story-arch is the hole they dug for themselves with the whole "True Sith" revleation. That is why it's now a must-continue game. If they don't resolve it, you'll have a ton of pissed-off fans who want to know what happened to Revan and/or the exile and why they couldn't take part in it. Like I said, the K2 developers made a big mistake by making it a direct continuation of K1, mentioning Revan so often (anyone feel like his name popped up in every da** conversation?), and of course, leaving it so open. Now they have to resolve it or risk angering a lot of people. -
Why do you think that Jade Empire got an M rating? Because of the same-sex romance options. But the violence was okay by them. Nice to see how the raters priortize things. I agree that GTA should have been for adults anyway, but that rating just goes to the things with the bad sexual content. The people who rate games are idiots, that much I've concluded, as well as those who rate films. And rating a game M doesn't mean much today anyway, considering that it's so easy for a minor to obtain one. It's the parents who should be making these kinds of decisions as to what their child plays, not the raters. I sense a lack of responsibility on the parents' part as well.

That's sweet. (let's hope it's a valid statement). Hope they choose the LS male path for Revan (assuming they even focus on him) and cast Kate Beckinsale as Bastila. There can be no other. Elizabeth Hurley is just a tad too old.

Geez. Say you diagree with something and that makes you intolerant. <_< And as hard as this may be to believe, I'm against creating an amendment to ban gay marriage. But OH NO! I disagree with it (the same way I disagree with polygamy), so I'm a Nazi, a bigot, and a homophobe! It's just my freakin' opinion! Just the way some people think polygamy's okay! I'm not saying you're referring to me, just that I'm sick of people misinterpreting things on this board and hurling flame (and I'm not referring to you). And ditto: shut it, Lucius. But that's off topic, and I apologize for even bringing this up again. Sorry, guys. It won't happen again, Fio. Let's move on. Once again, props to you, SOE for the good work. Hope your next project is a success. And that is a rather interesting pic, Hildegard. "

Answer: this troll! But we're getting off-topic here. I think Vagrant's attempt at very different LS and DS paths is good in keeping up with the good/evil themes we saw in both KOTOR's. In the next KOTOR they should have a better distinction between LS and DS endings, like K1 did. I wonder if K3 will have a neutral ending for those who like to go grey, even though I'm not sure how they'd be able to do that.
