Weird Idionsyncrasies?

I don't particulary hate them, just think of them as not my cup of tea in this game. Zahua, by himself, is amusing, though. -
Weird Idionsyncrasies?
tinysalamander replied to why's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I avoid abilities that cost me or my companions HP (and Endurance in case of PoE) like a plague even if the loss is mathematically negligible. -
“Boku dake ga inai machi” is great so far.

Permanent crippling effects also have a problem of “spiral of death.” If you were crippled then you weren't good enough in a fight, so things become even more complicated for you which means you are even more likely to fail again. It becomes harder for weaker players and changes nothing for good ones. Feels kind of messy, IMO. Unless you play on PotD or something where you are asking for an all-out challenge, I suppose.

Who knows, maybe. I certainly thought that, so I've kept his memories in hope that'll give him more time to think about it before Woedica claims him again. That and I would want to lose memories either. And I think I said I wouldn't destroy him to those 2 spirits(?) who asked what I'd do before, so I didn't feel like broking that either. In the end all of this might not work anyway but I was a priestess of Eothas, so I thought that was both a right choice and a way to show him that there is a different side to kith

Wasn't it said that he doesn't keep his memories? They come to him later (with Woedica's help, I suppose). At least that's how I remembered it.

Naming things
tinysalamander replied to PrimeJunta's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I've named 2 chants (worthed mentioning) “Promised victory” and “Defenders of the world” All my wolf comanions are named Shadow since NWN. Shadow attacking Shadow was kinda confusing in the battle log -
Azzuro the merchant

He's worth his weight on RP side, though, unlike random nobodies you can hire. -
New Class: Runesmith

Hard mode: animancer which can be effective without being undead raising maniac. -
It's not like casters actually want weapon specializations that badly. And if one wants to be a melee battle mage he is most likely know what kind of weapon he wants to use. Armor decreases action speed. Boo-hoo. Naked wizards galore. I've heard somewhere that more exposed skin increases the amount of magic power you can use. I guess it has come to this

A query on combat gameplay

I'm not seeing any, though. I don't think this is going to get anywhere, so I'm stopping here. -

Just because people like to do things perfectly does not mean they are cowards, however. Especially since you can't just restart everything on a whim in a pretty large game. Can you say you haven't reload a single time you played for the first time? Bear got many beginners, I believe On later playthroughs it matters less since you already know everything (for some values of “everything”). -

What that has to do with distaste of resting?
