  1. I'll echo (4). Every character except Lem will want to recharge 90% of the time. (If you have a Toad or Token of Remembrance, maybe you're not going to recharge.) It's a drag to give everyone an extra step for one character.
  2. When you first create a party, before they have attempted any scenarios, you can choose from all the Basic cards to create your decks. After you have attempted a scenario, you are only going to see Available cards at the end of the scenario, after you have removed extra cards from the character's decks. You can see the character's current cards by clicking on the n/n icon buttons. You can drag a card from the display to another character to move the card from one character to another.
  3. Holy Text adds 2d4 to a Divine non-combat check. How common are these checks? The check to acquire a card with the Divine trait, for example, isn't a Divine check. The traits of the card you are trying to acquire aren't added to the check. It is for this reason that Paizo created the idea "invokes". The only relevant checks I can think of are: -- closing checks -- checks to recharge cards Given that, it makes sense this is a B item. Still, I don't think I would carry it, except perhaps if I just had one Cure and had a high chance of failing the recharge check.
  4. You are not searching the forums very well. This has been answered on several threads. To advance past Here Comes The Flood, you have to encounter the last card in the game (and you have to win, obviously). If Black Magga eats the last card, or the timer runs out, you don't advance, even if you win. Alternatively, someone said by disbanding his party, then re-forming it, he was able to advance. I haven't tried that.
  5. Closing the loop on this one -- it's just me being clueless. Longshot is right -- allies were buried by the Farmhouse. The crossbow was buried by a scenario effect I forgot about. Sorry for the noise.
  6. Good point about the Farmhouse. I'll pay more attention to that. But one time the buried card was a crossbow. I just haven't been paying enough attention. I'm pretty sure the cards haven't come from my hand, but I'm not sure if they came from my discard. I'll take better notes next time.
  7. It has already been noted that if you play the Wand of Enervation after playing other cards, problems ensue (http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87459-wand-of-enervation-resets-dice/). For this reason, I always play the Wand of Enervation first. I don't have all the parameters, but I have noticed burying the Wand of Enervation buries other cards along with it. I don't know yet if the cards come from my hand, deck, or discard pile. But it is definitely burying more than just itself. Example: Lem and Valeros, Foul Misgivings, Legendary. Valeros is fighting the Skinsaw Man. Lem and Valeros are at the same location. Lem plays the Wand of Evervation. Lem fails the recharge check. Check buried cards. Both the wand and an ally are now buried. I've seen the Wand take as many as three other cards along with it.
  8. I haven't kept track, but I definitely notice when the evaded card ends back on top, and pay no attention when it doesn't.
  9. Had my first TPK with Lem & Valeros and this bug.
  10. Never thought about it this way before, but Longshot is right.
  11. I don't recall exactly, but I think I've had the win-but-not-advance issue when I've acquired at least half the listed value, and not encountered the last card. And I think I've advanced after encountering the last card and acquiring one less than half the listed value.
  12. I can't remember the tutorial, honestly. So, Ameiko has a combat check against a cultist? What are you using for the combat check? What is on the screen? Can you post a screenshot? We need more explanation to understand your difficulty.
  13. Hmm. This question (#2) is showing up in many places on the forum. It's been answered in other threads. The bug is this: in order to advance after a victory in HCtF, a character in your party has to encounter the last card in the last location deck. If Black Magga eats the last card, you don't advance. If time runs out, you don't advance.
  14. 1 - I haven't seen this but I think others have mentioned this. 2 - If you have at least half the possible allies, then you should win if you forfeit. If not, you shouldn't. There is a thread about this. 3 - There is a thread on this too. The current bug is: a character in your party has to encounter the last card in HCtF in order for the next scenario to unlock. If time runs out, or if Black Magga eats the last card, it won't work.
  15. What should happen is, if you Forfeit but have at least half of the possible allies (say 12 of 24), you should win. But if you Forfeit and just happen to have more allies than Black Magga at the time, but not at least half of the possible allies, you should lose.
  16. If you start with a new party, do you hit the bug? Did you try going into Story and deleting your saved game?
  17. This is solved in this thread: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87180-beat-here-comes-the-flood-cant-continue/page-3#41 To unlock the next scenario, a character in your party has to encounter the last card in the game. If Black Magga eats the last card, or if time runs out, even if you win, the next scenario won't unlock.
  18. It's slightly different but: The same thing happens if the party has won and time runs out.
  19. In 1.0.3, how they implemented these pass-a-check-to-play-a-card powers is, the card is shackled, but if you try to play it, the app prompts you to make the check. It's a little confusing. It looks like the app has already decided you can't play the card, but it's not so.
  20. Sorry for the obvious question, but the app didn't roll a 1 on the location power is-the-undead-really-defeated roll, did it? That would explain this.
  21. Is everyone posting here realizing that Faranim and Longshot figured out the workaround for the "I won but can't play the next scenario" bug? Read the thread.
  22. Using the power to use melee instead of ranged should change your skill from d8+1 to d10+6 (this is without considering the die or bonus contributed by the weapon).
  23. I would only use a vicious weapon if the character has a way of preventing the damage. I've never carried one in my deck.
